First Lady Jill Biden went to bat for her husband, President Joe Biden, and stated that concerns about her husband's ability to serve as President were "ridiculous.”
The First Lady made her comments during an interview with a special event called “CNN Primetime: Jill Biden Abroad," which aired on Monday night. The segment was filmed at Camp David with host Rita Braver and served as a rare opportunity for the First Lady to wade into the fight over President Biden's fitness.
President Biden's health has been in question since before he was elected as President as he is the oldest President in U.S. history and exhibiting many signs of declining health.
Both President Biden's physical and mental health aren't what they used to be but that hasn't stopped the Democrat Party and even his own wife from denying reality.
The White House has spent the past two years dismissing concerns over the President's health as nothing more than politically motivated conspiracy theories.
The First Lady exhibited that same dismissive attitude when she was asked by Braver, "Nikki Haley, one of the Republican candidates, is calling for mental competency tests for those politicians over the age of 75. What do you think about that?"
Biden responded by saying, "It’s ridiculous." When pressed on whether the President would take a competency test, Biden stated, "I mean, we haven’t even discussed, we would never even discuss something like that. How many 30-year-olds could travel to Poland, get on the train? Go nine more hours, go to Ukraine, meet with President (Volodymyr) Zelensky? So, look at the man. Look what he’s doing. Look what he continues to do each and every day."
Ironically, President Biden actually was caught on video tripping when climbing the stairs to board Air Force One before leaving Poland.
That video is just one of the dozens cataloging the President's bizarre and sometimes frightening episodes.
President Biden may be capable of traveling the world and following a meticulous agenda but not without an army or aides and protective overseers. The President is not fit for office and he is endangering the nation, but the Democrat Party is loathe to admit it.
President Biden plans to run for President again in 2024 and barring his health truly falling off a cliff he will be the Democrat nominee at nearly 82 years old.
So far, Democrat Marianne Williamson is the only candidate to come forward to compete with Biden, but her chances of unseating him seem slim.
Of course, there is still plenty of time for another Democrat to step up and challenge Biden. A Yahoo News/YouGov poll found that a majority of registered voters believe Joe Biden is “too old for another term."
A younger Democrat with less baggage could step in and steal Democrat voters who aren't confident in Biden's health holding up for another four years.
