Fox's Charles Payne's niece victim in Harlem shooting

 May 23, 2024

Fox Business host Charles Payne recently took to the airwaves to share that he'd recently been through one of the most difficult days of his life.

The violent crime epidemic sweeping America has touched Payne's own family. Payne's niece was shot in Harlem at the beginning of May.

It's really getting to be too much. Although Payne's narrowly avoiding being MURDERED, far too many people are SHOT TO DEATH or killed in other ways in America's streets.

Payne joined Fox & Friends on the morning of May 22, and was primarily there to discuss President Joe Biden cancelling another $7.7 billion in student debt, but the topic of Donald Trump's campaign caused Payne to talk about his niece.

So cracked apart

The main gist of Payne's appearance on Fox & Friends was that he's simply devastated that our country is "so cracked apart," with MAJOR problems in this country going largely unobserved by people with enough money to avoid them.

Payne said, "Our country is really getting so cracked apart where the haves are doing extraordinarily well and again they live in safety and they eat their avocado toast and the rest of us, whether it’s in places where the opioid epidemic is out of control or places like — my neighborhood was being gentrified, but this gang thing is really amazing. I had no idea it was this bad."

Enter Donald Trump

Payne thought to bring up his niece after Donald Trump was mentioned, because Trump is one of the few people with enough power to eventually do something about the crime waves gripping our country.

Charles Payne heaped praise on President Trump for recently campaigning in the Bronx, and said that he wished Trump would visit Harlem, where his niece was "shot on the street Payne grew up on."

"I wish he would go to Harlem. Two Mondays ago, my niece was shot on the street that I grew up on. My niece was shot on the street that I grew up on!" Payne said.

"She doesn’t even hang out there; she doesn’t live there on the block anymore, but a good friend of mine who I’ve known for 45 years, her son passed away, and they were having a memorial for him, and so these guys — the gang violence is on the rise so much, it’s so underreported — so they come around with their masks, they’re shooting crazy, one third floor apartment was all busted up."

Making a difference

If the instant reaction on social media was any indication, Payne's message definitely resonated with a lot of Americans who are tired of the shootings, killings, stabbings, riots, and looting.

We are praying for peace and comfort for members of Payne's family, and we are also praying that Payne's speech, Trump's actions, or a combination of both, can help America find it's morals again.

What do you think about this story? Is there any hope to end the division in America anytime soon?
