Donald Trump case closing arguments scheduled for May 28

 May 22, 2024

It's been a long and winding road of injustice for Donald J. Trump and his supporters, but it looks as though there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Trump's case in New York will hopefully be over soon.

According to Breitbart, "former President Donald Trump’s defense has rested in the New York business records trial, and closing arguments are set for Tuesday, May 28, 2024."

Liberals have done their best to sap as much time, energy, and money from Donald Trump as possible in New York, but Donald Trump is still standing, at least as of now.

Jurors granted week off

Judge Merchan said that Memorial Day factored into his desired schedule for the rest of the case, but we seem to have a pretty good idea of how the rest of Donald Trump's business records trial will go.

After Trump's defense rested after questioning Michael Cohen's former advisor, Robert Costello, Juan Merchan laid out the plan for the rest of the trial. The closing arguments were set for Tuesday, May 28.

Merchan seems to have wanted to start the closing arguments sooner, but said that the Memorial Day holiday would make it impossible to get everything done in time to resume the trial before the Spring holiday.

Judge Merchan admitted he's have to delay proceedings, because "there is no way we can do what needs to be done in any cohesive manner" before the holiday.

Wednesday, May 29

Merchan allocated one day in trial for the closing arguments of the prosecution and the defense, and he "hopes deliberations will start on Wednesday, May 29," according to the New York Times.

This trial has been full of many surprises already. For example, many people in America were expecting to see Donald Trump take the stand and testify in his own case.

His lawyers weren't as sure though, even telling Judge Merchan right before the defense presented its case that Trump still hadn't made up his mind on whether or not he would testify. Donald Trump decided not to testify, and it may have been one of the smartest decisions he could have made.

Bragg blows the case

America will be SHOCKED if all twelve jurors decide to put Trump away, and that's mostly because of the witnesses that Alvin Bragg called to the stand during the trial. The prosecution was counting on Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen to turn the jury against Trump, but almost the exact opposite happened.

Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen were exposed as complete frauds in front of America, signaling to us that we can't trust ANYTHING they say.

The jurors in the courtroom probably feel the same way, and Trump hopes that the ruling will ultimately reflect that.
