Young conservative DeAnna Lorraine to challenge Nancy Pelosi in 2020 election

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has owned her seat in Congress since 1987.

DeAnna Lorraine, a young conservative and staunch supporter of Donald Trump, is hoping to change that. She recently spoke with the Daily Wire about the major reasons why she will be facing off against Pelosi in 2020.

Dethroning a Legend

Taking on an incumbent Democrat in a blue state in a blue district is never easy, but that task is even made more difficult when you are dealing with a political “legend.”

Pelosi had held her seat for more than three decades, so replacing her will be no easy task for Lorraine.

Speaker Pelosi is not only a lifelong politician, but she is deeply entrenched in her party’s leadership, so Lorraine will be facing off against the full force of the DNC as well as Pelosi herself.

After serving as the chair of the California Democratic Party, Pelosi won her seat for the first time in 1987. Over the next 30 years, Pelosi worked her way up the ladder from minority whip to minority leader to speaker, a position she has now held twice.

A New Approach

Lorraine has something in common with our current president in that she has no political experience, something she believes will help her win in California just as it helped Trump win the presidency.

In addition to being a conservative activist, Lorraine recently penned a book called “Making Love Great Again: The New Road to Reviving Romance and Winning at Relationships.”

The play on the Trump campaign slogan and classic Trump line was not by mistake, as Lorraine is a major supporter of the president. Lorraine wrote the book because as a relationship counselor, she was seeing the devastating effects of leftist ideology on existing relationships.

Lorraine says counseling work more or less compelled her to become politically active. When asked about her lack of experience, she points to the success of Trump as well as the following former bartender Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has developed.

The California upstart believes conservatives have failed in battling Pelosi because they have refused to take the fight right to her and hold her accountable for the real issues the country is facing.

She is no fool, though, and acknowledged that the odds are stacked against her. Good luck DeAnna, because you have one heck of a fight ahead of you!
