A death in Niagara Falls has police stumped.
Early Saturday afternoon, a woman was found dead in a field in Niagara Falls, NY.
The body was first discovered around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
It was found near the railroad tracks at Allen Ave and 22nd Street.
The body was fully intact.
Police, however, have no positive identification on the body at this time.
They described the victim as a white woman with reddish-brown hair.
They estimated her age to be between 17 and 35.
Police seem to think the woman died from nefarious cause.
The medical examiner has not yet performed an autopsy to validate their concerns, though.
When authorities came upon the body, they said it was decomposing and covered in debris.
Police realize the description is rather vague, which is why they are reaching out to the local community, requesting that everyone spread the word of the description to everyone they know.
It is their hope that someone will see the description and match it to someone they know that is missing.
If the description sounds like someone you know that has not been seen over the last week or so, please contact Niagara Falls Police at (716) 286-4711.
