Tragedy has once again struck the Rodriguez family.
On Friday, Evelyn Rodriguez, who was invited to the State of the Union by President Donald Trump earlier this year after her 16-year-old daughter was brutally murdered by MS-13, was struck and killed by an SUV.
After the news broke, President Trump sent his condolences to the family:

Rodriguez was still mourning the loss of her daughter, Kayla Cuevas, who died two years ago in the hands of gang members.
This tragedy happened two years to the day later, when Rodriguez and others gathered at the spot of the murder for a memorial.
According to reports, one of the homeowners in the area came outside and did not approve of the memorial being set.
He started to dismantle the memorial then apparently got into his car, where he was confronted by Rodriguez and another man.
After a short argument, the man reportedly floored it and ran right over Rodriguez, fatally striking her.
A local news station was on scene to cover the memorial and happened to have a camera rolling at the time of the confrontation.
Rodriguez only wanted justice for her daughter.
She has spoken dozens of times about the need to tighten up immigration.
MS-13 specifically has been a problem in her community, with more than two dozen murders being attributed to the gang over the last two years.
Luckily, Rodriguez can rest in peace knowing that President Trump will continue her fight.
