The man who once went on a mission to protect Donald Trump has been hit with some very bad news.
Duane Chapman, better known as “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” asked fans to pray for his wife, Beth Chapman, after she underwent emergency surgery for a second bout with throat cancer.
According to TMZ, Chapman told fans on Wednesday, “Please say a prayer, she’s not doing good.”
Protecting the President
While Chapman makes his money as a well-known bounty hunter and reality TV star, he once used his expertise to help Donald Trump.
After Shawn Christy threatened the president, a nationwide manhunt was underway.
Friends and family members reportedly enlisted Chapman to help find Christy to get him to surrender peacefully.
Christy would end up on the lam for three months, but he was eventually captured in Ohio the day after it became public knowledge that Chapman was going to join in on the hunt.
While still trying to evade authorities, Christy was captured when he abandoned his truck on the highway just outside of Mansfield.
At the time, U.S. Marshall Anne Murphy stated, “He was actively hiding.”
“And he was hiding from the time that he heard our guys moving. He eventually surrendered, yes, but he hid from our team on the ground,” she added.
Fans of the show are very familiar with Beth Chapman.
She may be the only woman on the planet that can bring Duane to heel, so to speak.
It is also quite obvious that as far as Duane is concerned, the sun rises and sets with his wife.
The Dog was obviously broken up as he updated the media on her current condition.
“She had a lump in her throat twice the size of last time, and they performed an emergency surgery yesterday,” Chapman stated.
This is apparently her second bout with throat cancer.
Beth Chapman underwent surgery in 2017 and was declared cancer-free two months later.
