The View host Whoopi Goldberg begged the judge in Donald Trump's civil fraud trial to fine Joe Biden's political rival $10 million so he would "shut up."
The vindictive statements from Goldberg are just the latest evidence that the case against Trump is nothing but a vindictive charade.
The judge in the case, Arthur Engoron, slapped Trump with a gag order after Trump disparaged Engoron's clerk.
The trial has no jury, and Engoron has already ruled that Trump defrauded banks by inflating the value of his assets. Trump has used his time outside the courtroom to denounce the case as a witch hunt.
The judge fined Trump $10,000 this week after he called Engoron, a Democrat, "a very partisan judge, with a person who’s very partisan sitting alongside of him, perhaps even much more partisan than he is.”
In court Wednesday, Engoron summoned Trump to the witness stand to justify the comments. Trump said the comments were directed at witness Michael Cohen, not the clerk, but Trump insisted all the same that the clerk is biased.
“I think she’s very biased against us. I think we’ve made that clear,” Trump said.
Engoron had previously fined Trump $5,000 for failing to remove a social media post criticizing the clerk. Engoron has also warned Trump could be jailed if he does not play ball.
But Goldberg has other ideas. She advised the judge to hit Trump - already facing immense financial strain from a blizzard of politically motivated legal cases - with $10 million fines until he learns to "shut up."
“I feel like he thinks 5, 10 million dollars — $10,000 — doesn’t mean anything. Five, 10 and so he just keeps doing it,” Goldberg added. “But if you had to put your hand in your pocket and find a quick 10 million, I think he might shut up.”
Goldberg exhorted the judge to plumb the depths of Trump's pockets.
"I think we should find out [how wealthy Trump is.] Come on judge!" Goldberg said.
While many would say Trump is being treated very unfairly, Goldberg thinks he is actually receiving favorable treatment.
"This is telling the American people there's a difference between him and us and I don't like it," she said.
Trump is also fighting a sweeping gag order limiting what he is allowed to say about Biden prosecutor Jack Smith.
So not only is the left trying to have Trump locked up on bogus pretexts, they want to drain his finances and stop him from even speaking out in his own defense.
These tyrants must be stopped.
