White House notified of firefight along Texas border

While on patrol early Friday morning, gunfire broke out along the Texas border.

According to reports, the White House was notified that U.S. Border Patrol agents were fired upon by gunmen on the Mexico side of the Rio Grande river. Luckily, no injuries were sustained.

Possible Cartel Attack

While it has not been confirmed, authorities believe the attack may have come from the Gulf Cartel. Mexican authorities could not locate any gunmen at the scene, but the area is notorious for the Gulf Cartel using the area as a smuggling corridor.

Additionally, the weapons used may have been AK-47s or something similar.

While dozens of shots were fired at the U.S. Border agents, the only damage incurred was to their boat, which was hit numerous times.

Authorities also stated this area has seen more than its fair share of violence recently, as competing cartels are fighting over the area.

More Border Security

Democrats and liberals live in the fantasyland where these border areas are safe and secure.

Clearly, that is not the case.

Cartel activity is specifically something Democrats like to pretend is not a regular occurrence.

However, instances such as this are proof positive that we need a border wall, more agents, and more security measures in place to curb this activity.

Thankfully, in this case, the agents were not harmed, but this story easily could have had a tragic ending.

Democrats must stop playing politics with our borders and provide this country with the proper security to ensure this criminal element is not allowed to step a single foot on U.S. soil.
