On Saturday, President Donald Trump got some great news. White House physician Sean Conley has announced that Trump is no longer a risk for transmitting the coronavirus.
With only three weeks remaining before election day, Trump needs to get back on the campaign trail. This is something he was unable to do while still testing positive and being at risk to transmit the virus to others.
White House doctor confirms Trump’s status
Saturday, that restriction was lifted, according to a memo from Dr. Conley that was released by the White House.
“This evening I am happy to report that in addition to the president meeting C.D.C. criteria for the safe discontinuation of isolation, this morning’s Covid P.C.R. sample demonstrates, by currently recognized standards, he is no longer considered a transmission risk to others,” Dr. Conley wrote.
“Now at day 10 from symptoms onset, fever-free for well over 24 hours and all symptoms improved, the assortment of advanced diagnostic tests obtained reveal there is no longer evidence of actively replicating virus,” Dr. Conley continued. “In addition, sequential testing throughout his illness has demonstrated decreasing viral loads that correlate with increasing cycle threshold times, as well as decreasing and now undetectable subgenomic mRNA.”
Dr. Conley added that he will “continue to monitor” Trump’s health as he goes back to his normal activities.
Breitbart’s White House correspondent Charlie Spiering shared the good news on Twitter:

Trump can now get back to work and start doing what he does best… holding live rallies.
Loading up the schedule
Even though he was still technically quarantined, Trump spoke to supporters during a brief event on the South Lawn of the White House on Saturday, albeit from a distance. That will be the last event of its kind, though, because Trump has already loaded up his campaign schedule.
On Monday, Trump will be in Florida. Tuesday, he will be in Pennsylvania, and on Wednesday, he will be appearing in Iowa.
Trump is at his best when he is in front of a big crowd and after recovering from COVID-19, we can surely expect some great new material from the president.
