Whistleblower reveals the FBI’s secret domestic extremism plot

According to Breitbart News, another whistleblower just claimed that the FBI has been pressuring agents to pad the agency’s “domestic extremism” stats.

What’s more, is that the whistleblowers have been naming names.

What’s going on?

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, is looking into claims made by whistleblowers that FBI officials are pressuring agents to reclassify as cases of domestic violent extremism (DVE) cases that don’t meet the criteria of DVE.

This is part of a larger effort that Jordan is leading in regard to the politicization of the FBI.

Previously, FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Timothy Thibault was identified as one of the FBI officials who was pressuring agents into padding the DVE numbers. Now, another individual has been identified by a whistleblower – Jill Sanborn, a former FBI employee who was with the agency for over 20 years.

Jordan has recently contacted FBI Director Christopher Wray about the situation. Jordan argued that the situation is “scandalous” given the fact that President Joe Biden and his administration have been trying to make it seem as though domestic violent extremism is America’s “greatest threat.”

Jordan asked Wray to provide documents about the situation, but Wray still hasn’t responded. Wray, though, did reportedly tell Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), in private, that Thibault will no longer be making decisions about which investigations the FBI ought to pursue.

The latest

Breitbart’s latest report on the matter is based on a recent letter that Jordan sent to Sanborn.

In the letter, Jordan tells Sanborn that a whistleblower has “identified you as one official who exerted pressure on agents to reclassify cases as DVE matters.”

Jordan then calls upon Sanborn to testify before the House committee about the DVE allegation, saying, “your testimony is necessary to advance our oversight.” Jordan concludes by asking Sanborn to contact House staff in order to schedule a “transcribed interview,” which Jordan would like to be done by August 24.

It is unclear whether Sanborn is going to participate. She has yet to respond, and, with the Democrats in control of the House, and thus the House Judiciary Committee, she is not legally required to provide testimony.

If what the whistleblowers allege is true, it is more evidence of the politicization of America’s top law enforcement agency.
