While Americans continue to struggle with crippling inflation and skyrocketing gas costs, the Biden administration is focusing its attention on “equity action plans.”
According to Fox News, the effort, which spans some 90 government agencies, is follow through on President Joe Biden’s Inauguration Day promise to “pursue a comprehensive approach to advancing equity for all, including people of color and others who have been historically underserved, marginalized, and adversely affected by persistent poverty and inequality.
The plan, which took over one year to implement, doesn’t address issues that actually affect “underserved” Americans at the gas pump or the grocery store.
Many believe it’s nothing more than more Democratic virtue-signaling ahead of the 2022 midterms, at best.
White House explains
Biden’s White House released a statement on the programs being rolled out across nearly 100 agencies.
“Across the federal government, agencies are taking ambitious action to expand federal investment and support in communities that have been locked out of opportunity for too long, including communities of color, Tribal communities, rural communities, LGBTQI+ communities, people with disabilities, women and girls, and communities impacted by persistent poverty,” the statement read.
As an example, the Department of Homeland Security’s plan is to “identify barriers that may impede access to naturalization among underserved communities,” with the aim of removing those perceived barriers.
In another example of things that don’t matter and have no bearing on American life, Fox News reported that DHS will also “work to ‘expand gender-identification options’ for certain traveler programs like TSA PreCheck.”
The Pentagon announced as a part of its role in the program that it will “seek to rearrange its supply chain in order to open up opportunities for underserved communities.”
“Advancing equity is not a one-year project—it is a generational commitment,” the White House said.
No wonder
By focusing on initiatives that truly have little to no effect on American life right now, it’s not surprising that President Biden continues his humiliating plummet in general polling numbers.
His latest approval number, according to RealClearPolitics, hovers in the low 40s and upper 30s. In other words, Biden continues to cement his legacy as one of the worst presidents in American history.
