A video reposted on social media Tuesday night by actor James Woods appears to show soldiers in a Mideast conflict getting an explosive surprise.
A fighter is seen laughing, waving a gun, and singing a song until the final moments when he himself is struck by a weapon.
"I could run this on a loop all day, that's how great it is," Woods quipped.
"The final small arms mop-up at the end are like a sweet musical coda."
The original video was posted by a self-described Donald Trump supporter named Randy, who remarked: "First they laugh, then they don't. 🇮🇱🇺🇸👍"
It is not clear specifically when and where the video was shot, but some commenters have stated, "This is from the Syrian/Iraq war against Isis 🤦♂️" and "That's Iraqi militia [who] got hit by isis."
Nonetheless, other commenters proffered their own opinions of the video, including:
"Oooh I hate it when that happens."
"Damn."
"That definitely ruined his day."
"We are supposed to be horrified by images of war. Not celebrate them."
"Justice, poetic and otherwise."
"LOL, their 72 virgins would have to sweep up the pieces."
"11 is my score. lol 😂"
"Freaking awesome. I see what you mean about playing it on a loop because no matter how many times I watch it, it never gets old."
"Might as well hoist a flag pole up with a 'we are here' logo on it."
"Aloha snack bar. Dirt nap."
"Darwin Award."
"At least he saw it coming. His last thoughts were 'Oh sh**, we're fooked.'"
"I haven't cried laughing like this since I was in single digits! 😃 😀 😄 😁 🤣 😂 😃 😀 😄"
"Just magnificent!🙏🏻"
"Somebody find my head. I have 72 virgins to meet."
"That was beautiful, almost magical, certainly gratifying."
