VP Harris humiliates herself in Puerto Rico

 March 25, 2024

Vice President Kamala Harris managed to seriously embarrass herself during her recent trip to Puerto Rico.

And, what's more, is that the whole incident was caught on video.

Take a look:

What happened?

The incident took place on Friday.

Fox News reports:

After making remarks in Puerto Rico's capital, Harris visited the Goyoco community center in the Santurce neighborhood of San Juan where she took a tour and heard from center staff and community leaders. The motorcade was greeted by a mix of several dozen, loud demonstrators and onlookers on the sidewalk. One held a sign that said "Kamala Harris war criminal," another called the USA and Israel "genocidal."

This, however, is not the humiliating bit. Rather, it is what happened next.

Fox continues:

The vice president stopped in a courtyard within the community center where a six-person group of musicians played. Pool cameras captured Harris clapping her hands and nodding along as she watched and listened. A singer then performed accompanied by a piano.

The only problem is that the song that Harris happily clapped her hands to was a song of protest against her.

The clapping stops . . . the smile disappears

At one point, while Harris was smiling and clapping as the protestors sang their song, an aide told Harris what the song - which was sung in Spanish - was about, and this is when Harris stopped clapping and smiling.

Here are some of the lyrics of the song, "We want to know, Kamala, what did you come here for? We want to know what you think of the colony."

The full lyrics can be found here. It is clear that the group was a pro-Palestinian group that was protesting the United States' support of Israel. At one point, the protestors said, "Long live Free Palestine and Haiti too!"

Fox reports that, once Harris was told what the song was about, she "then stopped clapping and instead folded her hands and slightly nodded as the song continued."

Looks like Harris is unpopular just about everywhere she goes. Here, in the United States, she currently enjoys an average favorability rating of 36%, with individual ratings dropping down into the twenties.
