Videos are circulating the internet showing the surge of illegal migration that is taking place, via the southern border, as Title 42 is set to expire.
Title 42 is the Trump-era policy that was enacted during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to rapidly expel illegal immigrants from the United States.
The policy is set to expire on May 11, and, as a result, a surge in illegal immigration is expected.
What the videos show is that the surge has already begun.
Here is a video from, NewsNation correspondent Ali Bradley, capturing the scene at Brownsville, Texas:
TX: Happening now, hundreds of migrants just showed up here in Brownsville to self surrender to border patrol after crossing the Rio Grande into the U.S. illegally— #Title42 is still in place for another week.

Video from other areas, showing the same surge in illegal immigration, can readily be found on social media.
Southern border illegal immigration has already been on the rise in recent months - after President Joe Biden claimed, earlier this year, that his southern border plan would get the crisis under control.
Since then, the numbers have only gone up. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents made over 181,000 apprehensions in April, after making about 20,000 fewer in March. And, now, with Title 42 about to come to an end, the illegal immigration figures are really expected to explode.
In response, President Joe Biden has decided to deploy some 1,500 U.S. troops to the U.S.-Mexico border.
U.S. Pentagon press secretary Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder said that the troops "will fill critical capability gaps, such as ground-based detection and monitoring, data entry, and warehouse support, until CBP can address these needs through contracted support." But, he added that the troops "will not directly participate in law enforcement activities."
Accordingly, many are questioning just how useful the troops are going to be as the southern border crisis ramps up with Title 42 expiring. Here's how former President Donald Trump sees the situation:
TITLE 42 EXPIRES NEXT WEEK. This date will go down in infamy!!! Our Borders will completely collapse. We will be, officially, a THIRD WORLD NATION!
