Former President Donald Trump has long accused CNN of being a “fake news” network that publishes blatantly biased stories intended to harm him and help his opponents.
Thanks to undercover work from Project Veritas, there is now video footage that shows a CNN director admitting the network did indeed push “propaganda” intended to oust Trump from office and help President Joe Biden get elected, Breitbart reported.
“We got Trump out”
On Tuesday, Project Veritas released video of one of its undercover journalists engaging in multiple secretly recorded conversations with CNN Technical Director Charlie Chester about the goings-on at the network, particularly in terms of its coverage of Trump and Biden.
“Look what we did, we [CNN] got Trump out. I am 100% going to say it, and I 100% believe that if it wasn’t for CNN, I don’t know that Trump would have got voted out,” Chester said, and added, “I came to CNN because I wanted to be a part of that.”

Health coverage of Trump vs. Biden
Chester also acknowledged that CNN trafficked in “propaganda” with regard to how it covered the health of Trump compared to Biden, deliberately inflating concerns about Trump’s health while downplaying or ignoring questions about Biden’s physical and mental capabilities.
For example, Chester said that Trump’s “hand was shaking or whatever, I think. We brought in so many medical people to tell a story that was all speculation — that he was neurologically damaged, and he was losing it. He’s unfit to — you know, whatever.”
“We were creating a story there that we didn’t know anything about. That’s what — I think that’s propaganda,” he added.
The Project Veritas journalist raised her own quiet concerns about Biden’s apparent health issues, which prompted Chester to admit that CNN crafted its coverage of the Democratic candidate during the campaign to be a “deflection” of such questions and to portray him as healthy and vigorous for his age.
“We would always show shots of [Biden] jogging and that [he’s] healthy, you know, and him in aviator shades,” the CNN tech director said. “Like, you paint him as a young geriatric.”
Propagandist coverage of Gaetz
Chester was also caught on video acknowledging other instances in which CNN engaged in propaganda, such as its incessantly negative coverage of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), a close ally of Trump, who was deemed to be a “problem” for Democrats, hence the concerted effort to smear the congressman and get him in trouble.
Chester also explained how, as the COVID-19 pandemic winds down, CNN was already working to ramp up its alarmist coverage of climate change, at one point noting that “fear sells.”
