Media melts down over President Trump’s defense of Fox hosts Tucker Carlson, Jeanine Pirro

Two major hosts at Fox News have taken considerable heat over the last week: Tucker Carlson and Judge Jeanine Pirro.

And after Donald Trump openly defended the two hosts on Twitter, virtually every media outlet lost their mind over his apparent bias toward Fox News.

Stopping Censorship

The first to come under fire was Tucker Carlson. Some audio from appearances Carlson made on a “shock jock” radio show more than a decade ago were thrust back into the limelight by a liberal media watchdog.

Afterward, advertisers started to pull their support, and rumors ran rampant that Carlson was going to get canned.

Then, Judge Jeanine Pirro rightfully questioned the loyalty of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-NY) to this country. Her comments resulted in what appears to be a suspension by Fox News.

Now, there are even rumors she may be fired.

But Trump likes Fox News, because generally speaking, the network gives him a fair shake.

So, it really was not all that much of a surprise to see him stick up for two hosts who have supported him for the last two years. He tweeted:

Presidential Support

Liberals lost their mind over their tweets because according to them, a president has never shown such media bias before — but that is not 100 percent true.

President Barack Obama was very critical of Fox News both while in office and after he left.

At the same time, he has been complimentary to outlets like NPR and CNN.

Trump also happens to genuinely like several of the hosts at Fox News, so there is no real surprise in him offering them his support.

We have never seen attacks against media members like we are seeing with Fox News right now. And unprecedented times call for unprecedented support.
