Former President Donald Trump said Vice President Kamala Harris' medical assessment shows "dangerous" symptoms that may affect her ability to serve, the UK Daily Mail reported. Trump also suggested that Harris take a cognitive test to prove she is up to doing the job if elected.
Harris released her medical records via an open letter from her primary care physician, Dr. Joshua Simmons. It showed that Harris sometimes experiences urticaria, otherwise known as hives, that are symptoms of an allergy.
The vice president also suffers from allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis from seasonal allergies. Harris has been undergoing "allergen immunotherapy" for three years to lessen the severity of her reactions.
At least 80 million Americans suffer from seasonal allergies, so this report doesn't uncover anything unusual. However, Trump believes an emergency could impact her ability to serve if she has symptoms like mental fatigue, brain fog, and difficulty in mental concentration.
Following the release of the medical report, Trump took to his Truth Social to warn about the implications of Harris' condition. "As to her completely desperate request for my Medical Statements, she is dying to see my Cholesterol (which is 180!), I have already provided them, many times, including quite recently, and they were flawless" Trump wrote Tuesday.
"However, I have just seen Kamala’s Report, and it is not good. According to her Doctor’s Report, she suffers from 'urticaria,' defined as 'a rash of round, red welts on the skin that itch intensely, sometimes with dangerous swelling.'" Trump recounted.
"She also has 'allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis,' a very messy and dangerous situation. These are deeply serious conditions that clearly impact her functioning," Trump added.
"Maybe that is why she can’t answer even the simplest of questions asked by 60 Minutes, and others. What is this all about? I don’t have these problems…" he concluded.
Trump also went after Harris' cognitive abilities in a separate post to X, formerly Twitter, that day. "I believe it is very important that Kamala Harris pass a test on Cognitive Stamina and Agility," Trump wrote.
"Her actions have led many to believe that there could be something very wrong with her. Even 60 Minutes and CBS, in order to protect Lyin’ Kamala, illegally and unscrupulously replaced an answer she had given, which was totally 'bonkers,' with another answer that had nothing to do with the question asked," Trump said, referring to the network's selective editing that changed one of Harris' answers.
"Also, she is slow and lethargic in answering even the easiest of questions. We just went through almost four years of that, we shouldn’t have to do it again!" Trump added.
Trump was tying her symptoms to the problems that became too obvious to ignore with President Joe Biden, who stepped down from his reelection bid amid signs of cognitive decline. At 59, Harris is much younger and in better health than Biden is.
Still, Trump likes to challenge his opponents from many angles, and this attack on Harris' health is sure to get under her skin. The leftist media will mock him for his warning, but Trump is a master at pointing out weaknesses in his opponents that seem to stick.
