Trump tells freshman congresswomen to ‘go back’ to countries of origin

President Donald Trump issued an explosive order to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) and other “Democrat Congresswomen” who tell Americans how to run their government despite coming from “corrupt” and “broken” countries, according to Fox News.

“Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came[?] Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough,” Trump tweeted Saturday. He went on to joke that Nancy Pelosi “would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements.”

Trump calls out hypocrisy

President Trump spoke for Americans who are fed up with Democrats putting their country last. Without naming names, Trump seemed to imply that his message was intended for Ocasio-Cortez and fellow freshman Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), and Ilhan Omar (D-MN). The president called on the congresswomen to “go back” to their countries of origin and fix them before attacking the United States.

In fact, only one of these lawmakers is an immigrant — Omar was a Somali refugee — but all four have called to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The four Democrats call themselves “the squad” and are among the most outspoken progressives in Congress. They have brought a message of open borders and hatred for America’s heritage and history to the halls of Congress.

Trump’s tweet brings to mind Tucker Carlson’s criticism of Omar, who Carlson called a “living fire alarm” last week. The Fox host criticized Omar for expressing hostility and ingratitude to the country that took her in as a refugee from Somalia and warned that America cannot continue to accept large numbers of migrants who hate America.

Dems cry racism

Ocasio-Cortez, who has given illegal immigrants advice on how to avoid ICE raids, claimed that she is loyal to the United States and accused Trump of playing on “fear” and “destroying our border” with detention centers.

Tlaib went with the less imaginative route of calling for Trump to be impeached for the one-millionth time since January, while Omar claimed that the “only country we swear an oath to is the United States” and accused Trump of “stoking white nationalism.” Omar, for context, once wrote that America was “founded on genocide.”

Pressley was even more cliché, saying, “THIS is what racism looks like.”

Justin Amash, the “Republican” representative from Michigan, agreed with the Democrats that Trump’s comments were “racist and disgusting.” (Go figure: Amash is basically a Democrat who wants to impeach Trump.)

Actions speak louder than words. Here’s an idea: if Democrats want to prove they actually are loyal to their country, why don’t they start by acknowledging the existence and rights of their citizens? Why do they insist on putting illegal immigrants first? Trump was not attacking their identity — he was criticizing these lawmakers for things they said about the country they supposedly love and serve.

All the Democrats have is clichés. Platitudes about “stoking fear” and nonsense about “families staying together” — as if anybody actually wants to see immigrant families suffer. Enough already.
