Trump suprises Turning Point Action Summit crowd by appearing for first time without ear bandage

 July 28, 2024

Former President Donald Trump's life was nearly taken earlier this month and by the grace of God Almighty, he escaped with some scratches and an ear bandage.

For nearly two weeks, Trump sported the large ear bandage with pride as his ear healed from the bullet that missed taking his life by mere centimeters.

According to the Daily Caller, the 45th president made his first appearance without the bandage at the recent Turning Point Action (TPUSA) Believers Summit held in his home state of Florida.

His first appearance without the bandage covering the entirety of his ear came exactly 13 days after a 20-year-old gunman took a shot at him while killing a spectator at his Butler, Pennsylvania rally earlier this month.

What did he do?

In true Trump fashion, the former president gave the Turning Point Action Believers Summit a great show and told them he took the bandage off for the first time for them, drawing immediate loud applause.

"I think you can see I recovered well, and, in fact, just took off the last bandage off of my ear," Trump told his audience. "I just got it off. I took it off for this group!"

Later on during his speech, Trump proudly shouted, "I took a bullet for democracy." The crowd again erupted with thunderous applause and cheers.

The Daily Caller noted:

Trump attributed his survival to “the power of prayer and the grace of Almighty God” in his speech. The GOP nominee previously told the New York Post in his first interview since being shot that he’s “supposed to be dead.”

Trump's campaign momentum shifted into turbo gear in the wake of the attempt on his life, bringing the GOP together in a way that probably wouldn't have happened otherwise.

Taking shots at Harris

Now that President Joe Biden is out of the running for the White House, Trump and his campaign have focused on Vice President Kamala Harris, who's expected to be at the top of the Democratic Party's ticket in November.

Trump correctly pointed out that just a few weeks ago, Harris was a low-polling, national embarrassment of a vice president that couldn't generate any excitement withing her party.

"She was a bum three weeks ago," Trump said. "A failed vice president in a failed administration."

It's good to see the former president on the mend and taking names as usual. The next few months will be absolutely wild.
