In a not-so-surprising move, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has decided it will not grant Fox News the rights to air any Democratic primary debates.
After the announcement was made, Donald Trump Jr. went on the warpath, telling the RNC that they should ban all networks other than Fox News.
He also pointed out that unlike those other networks, which often fail to feature Republicans, Fox News has some pretty high-profile Dems on the air every day.
Banning Fox Could Hurt
Failing to include Fox in these debates will no doubt hurt the Democrats’ own candidates. Trump Jr. said as much himself in his Wednesday tweet:
By that logic the RNC should ban ALL other outlets from their debates.
Also apparently they haven’t watched Fox in the middle of the day which feels like a MSNBC redux much of the time.

Indeed, Democrats may not like Fox News, but it is hard to argue against the numbers they achieve when Dems make an appearance on the network.
When Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) appeared with Tucker Carlson, more than 3 million viewers watched the segment.
When Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) was on with Brett Baier, the segment had 2.5 million viewers, more than double the number of viewers that tuned in when Klobuchar was on CNN.
Why No Fox?
The animus toward Fox News is the direct result of a recent article published by The New Yorker.
The author of the piece, Jane Mayer, is so blatantly biased against Trump that the only place this article deserves to be is at the bottom of the litter box.
Mayer alleged that Roger Ailes tipped Trump off to a question before a GOP primary debate that aired on Fox News in 2016.
The source for this claim? Two unnamed sources and “someone” close the Trump campaign. (So, three people standing around a water cooler chatting for all we know.)
Keep in mind, Ailes is the same man who was absolutely furious with Sean Hannity over his relationship with Trump and the appearance of impropriety it showed.
The bottom line here is that the DNC is hurting its own candidates. Rather than have an audience with conservatives on the bubble, Democrats are shutting them out.
They are taking it one step further than their criticisms of Trump and his relationship with the media by actually banning a major network from hosting a debate. Shameful.
