Donald Trump Jr. just had one too many buttons pushed.
According to reports, Don Jr. pulled out of a charity fundraiser appearance on behalf of George P. Bush over the family’s criticism of his father’s administration’s zero-tolerance immigration policy.
Jabs from Jeb
During the presidential primary, it was no secret the Trump and Bush families were not exactly getting along. But somehow, Donald Jr. and George P. managed to keep their friendship alive and well through all of that.
As such, Donald Jr. had agreed to make an appearance at a George P. Bush fundraising event.
But that was before his father and aunt took a few extra jabs at the president.
The recent feud started back in March, when Jeb Bush said that he comes home to kids “who actually love me” at an appearance at Yale University.
Donald Jr. later defended his relationship with his father via Twitter.
Enough is Enough
More recently, Laura Bush took a shot at Trump with an op-ed in the Washington Post.
That apparently was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Several sources have stated that Donald Jr. had warned the Bushes to lay off his father.
When that last jab was taken by Laura Bush, Donald Jr. called off his appearance to support George P. Bush.
As we all know, the Bush family has made politics the family business.
If George P. plans on running for anything other than a local office, he will surely need to get Trump supporters behind him.
This little tiff with Donald Jr. could put those aspirations on hold and may even hurt him during his re-election bid for Texas Land Commissioner.
