Donald Trump endorses Diane Harkey to fill Darrell Issa’s Congressional seat

A congressional candidate running in California got a nice boost from President Trump on Monday.

Diane Harkey, who is hoping to take over the seat of Darrell Issa, got Trump’s full support via Twitter.

Tight Race

Harkey won a highly contested battle in the “jungle primary.”

It is referred to as such because all candidates are running against each other, not against the party.

Whichever two candidates come out on top go head to head in the November election, regardless of party.

Harkey actually won the primary, garnering 25 percent of the overall vote.

Mike Levin, who is a Democrat, came in second, winning 17 percent of the vote.

The two will fight it out in November for the District 49 seat, currently held by Darrell Issa.

Issa announced his retirement in January.

Liberal Attack

Levin immediately showed his constituents his character after Harkey received the President’s support.

Harkey, having seen his comment, quickly issued a formal statement.

The response stated, “It comes as no surprise that a candidate who supports higher gas taxes and amnesty for illegal aliens would resort to false personal attacks.”

As we have found over the last two years, liberals don’t care about facts, as long as it sells.
