Trump delivers savage Easter messages to the Democrats

The Washington Examiner reports that former President Donald Trump over the weekend sent some hard-hitting Easter messages to the Democrats.

The messages were released by email through Trumps’ Save America political action committee.

In one message, Trump targeted Democrats, in general.

“Happy Easter to all including the Radical Left Maniacs who are doing everything possible to destroy our Country,” he wrote. “May they not succeed, but let them, nevertheless, be happy, healthy, wealthy, and well!”

“Happy Easter”

In another Easter message, Trump went after Letitia James (D), the attorney general of New York.

“Happy Easter to failed gubernatorial candidate and racist Attorney General Letitia James,” Trump wrote. “May she remain healthy despite the fact that she will continue to drive business out of New York while at the same time keeping crime, death, and destruction in New York!”

The bad blood between Trump and James is well-known. It comes, in part, from the investigation that James has launched into the Trump Organization. The investigation followed the 2019 congressional testimony of Michael Cohen who claimed that the Trump Organization manipulated the valuation of its assets for various benefits, including tax benefits.

Trump has maintained that his organization has done nothing wrong and that James’s investigation is little more than a “political Witch Hunt,” similar to the other witch hunts he has faced since becoming president.

A return?

The Washington Times points out that these Easter messages from Trump are “reminiscent of his aggressive tweeting style that some found humorous or endearing, but others found offensive.”

We have not seen too much of this “aggressive tweeting style” since Trump’s Twitter account was banned following the Capitol protests that occurred on January 6, 2021. Occasionally, Trump has targeted people in statements released through his Save America PAC. But, it’s just not the same as when he was on Twitter.

There has been speculation recently that Trump could possibly make a return to Twitter should Tesla CEO Elon Musk end up purchasing the social media outlet. Musk, after becoming one of the company’s largest shareholders, recently made an offer to do so, and he made it clear that his purpose, at least in part, is to return the free speech principle to the platform.

Trump, though, has said that he will not return to Twitter if Musk ends up buying it. Trump said that with all the censorship, “Twitter’s become very boring.”
