Trump breaks unlikely Twitter record

January 13, 2020 by Jerry McCormick

Donald Trump has set plenty of records since he has been in office, but this one is truly unique.

After the president sent out a tweet in Farsi to express his support for the Iranian people protesting the current regime, Trump set the record for the “most liked Persian tweet” of all time, according to the Washington Examiner.

Iranian support

This is not a story you are going to read on most mainstream media outlets, and for good reason: it debunks just about everything every left-leaning media outlet and Democrat are saying about Trump right now. If Iranians did not like Trump, why did they respond so well to his latest tweet?

If you think most of the action on that tweet was from regular Trump supporters, you could not be more wrong. Trump sent the translation out in a separate tweet, which also blew up. The translation reads:

To the brave and suffering Iranian people: I have stood with you since the beginning of my presidency and my government will continue to stand with you. We are following your protests closely. Your courage is inspiring.

Indeed, while most of the mainstream media is ignoring this momentous show of support, the Trump camp is working overtime to get the message out.

The media blackout

Ever since the Iranian government admitted culpability for the downing of the passenger airliner headed to Ukraine, there have been major protests in the streets of Tehran.

Unlike the United States, where Americans burn our flag with no danger of being arrested, thousands of Iranians risked their lives to protest the current regime. And as they chant in the streets, demanding regime change, the mainstream media ignores the videos that are blowing up all over social media right now, such as this one:

Democrats refuse to comment on what is going on because they know the people of Iran are backing up what Trump has been saying and doing in regard to the Iranian regime.

It is sad and it is disgraceful that what should be widely considered a massive victory for this oppressed county is being tainted by the bias of Democrats and the mainstream media.
