Trump rips Biden’s ‘disastrous leadership’ for exploding immigration crisis

Former President Donald Trump might not have the social media bullhorn he once had, but that’s not keeping him from expressing his view on the mounting failures of President Joe Biden’s administration.

Trump issued a blistering statement from his Mar-a-Lago office this week on the state of the immigration crisis on the southern border, blasting the current president for his ‘disastrous leadership’ as one of the reasons why America is once again facing a familiar problem.

“Totally out of control”

In a statement that originated from the “Office of Donald J. Trump,” the former president held nothing back as he excoriated Biden for his role in opening a huge can of worms that Trump mostly managed to seal shut during his time in the White House, thanks to an aggressive number of immigration-based executive orders.

“Our border is now totally out of control thanks to the disastrous leadership of Joe Biden,” Trump said, according to Just The News. “Our great Border Patrol and ICE agents have been disrespected, demeaned, and mocked by the Biden Administration.”

The 45th president went on to point out that thanks to Biden’s rollback of most of Trump’s immigration-related executive orders, the number of illegal immigrants jumping the border seems to be increasing “by the hour,” adding that many of those people could have criminal records or, equally unfortunate, the COVID-19 virus.

“Interior enforcement has been shut down – criminals that were once promptly removed by our Administration are now being released back onto the street to commit heinous and violent crimes,” Trump said.

Adding to the increasing chaos is the number of unaccompanied illegal immigrant minors who are racing across the border in record numbers, making the situation even more delicate as the Biden administration scrambles to deploy solutions with regard to how they’ll process and detain the illegal minors.

“Spiraling tsunami”

Trump continued to hammer the Biden administration for creating the border crisis so much faster than anyone — including the former president — expected, adding that the increased number of illegal immigrants will soon overwhelm local communities while rapidly depleting available resources.

“The spiraling tsunami at the border is overwhelming local communities, depleting budgets, crowding hospitals, and taking jobs from legal American workers,” Trump wrote.

The 45th president also touched on the strides his administration made with Mexico-U.S. relations, highlighting some of the measures both countries took in order to tamp down on the immigration crisis, thanks in part to Trump’s negotiation skills.

“We stopped payment of the hundreds of millions of dollars paid to them and then developed an excellent relationship that made our country and their countries more secure,” Trump said while slamming Biden for undoing all of the work his administration did to prevent this kind of crisis from boiling over — as it once did during former President Barack Obama’s administration.

Only time will tell if the Biden administration is ever able to get a handle on the crisis, but one thing is for certain: Trump is clearly keen on reminding America who succeeded in controlling illegal immigration and who’s letting it spiral out of control.
