Trump advisor makes big revelation about Trump's VP pick

 January 15, 2024

One of former President Donald Trump's top advisers just revealed that Trump will "probably" not pick Vivek Ramaswamy to be his running mate.

According to the New York Postthe Trump adviser who made this revelation is Jason Miller.

The outlet quotes Miller as saying, "Pretty safe to say it won't be Vivek."

It appears that a lot has changed since August 2023, when Trump actually said that Ramaswamy could be a "very good" vice president.

The latest

It would seem that Ramaswamy has done something to upset Trump. Trump suggested as much in two recent social media posts.

In the first one, Trump wrote:

Vivek started his campaign as a great supporter, “the best President in generations,” etc. Unfortunately, now all he does is disguise his support in the form of deceitful campaign tricks. Very sly, but a vote for Vivek is a vote for the “other side” — don’t get duped by this. Vote for “TRUMP,” don’t waste your vote! Vivek is not MAGA. The Biden Indictments against his Political Opponent will never be allowed in this Country, they are already beginning to fall! MAGA!!!

Trump did not get into specifics about Ramswamy's "deceitful campaign tricks." But, this message was enough to prompt a response from Ramaswamy.

In a lengthy X message, Ramaswamy, in part, wrote:

Yes, I saw President Trump’s Truth Social post. It’s an unfortunate move by his campaign advisors, I don’t think friendly fire is helpful. Donald Trump was the greatest President of the 21st century, and I’m not going to criticize him in response to this late attack.

Trump followed up with another message on Monday morning, writing:

A VOTE FOR VIVEK IS A WASTED VOTE. I LIKE VIVEK, BUT HE PLAYED IT TOO “CUTE” WITH US. CAUCUS TONIGHT, VOTE FOR DONALD J. TRUMP, BUILD UP THE NUMBERS!!! IN NOVEMBER, WE MUST TAKE OUR VERY TROUBLED NATION — A NATION IN DECLINE — BACK FROM CROOKED JOE BIDEN AND THE RADICAL LEFT DEMOCRATS AND THUGS WHO ARE DESTROYING IT. MAGA!!!

Looking forward

There has been much talk about who Trump's running mate is going to be because he is dominating Republican primary polls to such an extent that many commentators just assume that he is going to comfortably win the party's presidential nomination.

Trump has yet to indicate who he will choose as his running mate, if he does go on to win his party's nomination.

Trump did, however, recently reveal that he has made up his mind on the subject.

During the recent Iowa Town Hall event hosted by Fox News, Trump said, "I can't tell you that really, I mean, I know who it's going to be."

Based on what Miller told the Post, it appears that Ramaswamy can now be ruled out as a potential running mate for Trump.
