Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) was yet another example of why millions of Americans still hesitate to take a COVID-19 vaccine, as the triple-vaccinated senator announced he’d tested positive for the virus on Sunday evening, according to Fox News.
The senator revealed his positive test results after having experienced “mild” symptoms of the virus on Saturday. The report noted that Booker received two vaccinations and a booster this year.
“I learned today that I tested positive for COVID-19 after first feeling symptoms on Saturday. My symptoms are relatively mild,” Booker tweeted Sunday.
Talking points engaged
The positive test for the fully-vaccinated senator — also known as a “breakthrough” case — didn’t stop Booker from encouraging Americans to get vaccinated and boosted.
“I’m beyond grateful to have received two doses of vaccine and, more recently, a booster – I’m certain that without them I would be doing much worse,” Booker said, though it’s impossible to know what his condition would be without vaccinations, as millions of unvaccinated Americans have contracted COVID-19 and only experienced mild symptoms, or in many cases, no symptoms at all.
Booker, his fellow Democrats, and their allies in the mainstream media have recently began upping the ante on their vaccine messaging as the omicron variant spreads rapidly across the country, however, so far, omicron doesn’t pose anywhere near the danger that the delta variant posed.
The “party of science” still seems quite resistant to follow the actual science as it emerges.
Interestingly, Booker’s announcement came just 48 hours before President Joe Biden is expected to address the nation in another doom-and-gloom “winter of death” speech on Tuesday.
Not the only senator
Even more interesting is that Booker’s announcement also came on the heels of fellow radical progressive Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren (MA) announcing that she, too, had contracted the virus.
“I regularly test for COVID & while I tested negative earlier this week, today I tested positive with a breakthrough case. Thankfully, I am only experiencing mild symptoms & am grateful for the protection provided against serious illness that comes from being vaccinated & boosted,” Warren announced in a Sunday tweet.
Again, she has no basis of fact to presume that without the vaccine that she would have experienced a severe episode of COVID-19, but those pesky details don’t seem to stop Dems from attempting to push vaccines into the arms of every single American adult and child.
Many believe that if Democrats and liberal media pundits hadn’t so quickly politicized the vaccine option under former President Donald Trump’s time managing the crisis, there wouldn’t be the great division there is today on the issue.
