There is nothing better than watching Trey Gowdy during a congressional hearing.
While Peter Strzok was on the hot seat, Gowdy’s shining moment was when he stated: “I don’t appreciate having an FBI agent with an unprecedented level of animus working on two major investigations in 2016.”
Strzok, as you may recall, is one of two agents tossed by Robert Mueller from the Trump-Russia investigation.
The agent was dismissed by the special counsel when some damning texts were made public.
In those texts, Strzok made it clear that he would do everything in his power to prevent Trump from winning the election.
Equally as alarming was his apparent loyalty to Hillary Clinton.
Having served on that investigation as well, one can only wonder how much information was covered up so Hillary Clinton could get off without so much as a slap on the wrist.
Laying Down the Law
Gowdy did not even try to hide his disdain for the shamed agent while he had his five minutes on the microphone.
He accused Strzok of “textbook bias.”
After doing so, Strzok was visibly agitated by the comments and told Gowdy he didn’t appreciate the insinuation.
Gowdy’s response was classic.
The South Carolina congressman stated: “I don’t give a damn what you appreciate, Agent Strzok.”
Trey Gowdy will be sorely missed in these hearings after his retirement from Congress at the end of this term.
