Top aide to Democrat senator sentenced in doxxing scandal

As Democrats continue to rail that Republicans are corrupt, it is their own party members that are being hauled off to jail.

Samantha DeForest-David, a staffer for Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH) has been sentenced for her role in breaking into the senator’s office to expose information about Republican politicians, Breitbart reports.

The plot

Sen. Hassan had not one, but two rogue employees on her staff.

According to reports, DeForest-David and Jackson Cosko collaborated on the break-in into Hassan’s office.

The two of them were so outraged over the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, they wanted to publish the private residences of key Republicans for protesters.

Some of the politicians whose information was obtained were Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Orrin Hatch (R-UT), and Mike Lee (R-UT).

How They Did It

According to reports, DeForest-David stole Hassan’s keys and gave them to Cosko so he could break into the senator’s office. Cosko then hacked into the computer system, obtaining the personal information of Republican senators.

DeForest-David then reportedly wiped down the computers so authorities would not be able to trace the break-in back to Cosko.

Initially, DeForest-David lied to police and said she knew nothing about the crime, but she later admitted to her role. The sentencing in this seemed a bit weighted, though, as DeForest-David clearly seems to have played a major role in this scandal.

However, while Cosko received a four-year sentence, DeForest-David only received 200 hours of community service and two years of supervised probation.

Even local judicial papers are complaining the sentence handed down by the judge seemed a bit “lenient” for her role in the crime.

Don’t expect to read about this story in the mainstream media, though, because they are — once again — ignoring the corruption that seems to flow throughout the Democratic Party. What a surprise. (Not.)
