‘The View’ hosts condemn Trump’s media criticism: ‘This is how things build up to slaughtering journalists’

The panel on The View has found a way to blame President Donald Trump for the death of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Condemning Trump’s criticism of the mainstream media’s often biased coverage — particularly his use of the phrase “enemy of the people” — co-host Whoopi Goldberg took it to the next level. “This is a build-up. This is how things build up to slaughtering journalists, you know,” she said.

Watch below:

Trump and the Media

To say Trump and much of the liberal media do not get along is a bit of an understatement.

Trump has a problem with reporters not verifying stories and going with unnamed sources.

A president disagreeing with the media is nothing new.

Obama was infamous for his distaste of anyone affiliated with Fox News.

Bill Clinton regularly called out members of the media.

George Bush once dressed a journalist down right on TV during an interview.

All that being said, Trump has taken it to another level because he is calling out individuals for specific things they are saying or writing that are just flat out fiction.

The View

The ladies on The View NEVER called out Obama or any of those other presidents over comments made about the media.

However, with Trump, they want to make him solely responsible for things happening to the media.

Co-host Sunny Hostin stated, “You see dictators all over the world now parroting that phrase, ‘enemy of the people.”

She added, “These things that this president is saying, it’s very, very dangerous.”

Everyone was wondering how Meghan McCain would approach Trump after her father died.

She cleared that up rather quickly when she stated Trump’s conduct regarding the media, specifically the death of Khashoggi, “should concern us all.”

What should actually concern us is the fact that liberals and anti-Trump conservatives are pushing a very dangerous and untrue narrative about the president.
