As the southern U.S. border continues to be overrun by illegal migrants, Venezuelans make up a vast number of them, and they're causing major issues.Β
According to Fox News, a Texas National Guard member was attacked and injured by two Venezuelan illegals last week, sparking new concerns that the incursion of illegal migrants poses an increasing safety risk to the soldiers and law enforcement stationed at the border.
The frightening incident took place at a border crossing in El Paso, Texas, last week.
The soldier said that two of the illegal migrants attacked him and caused him to fall into the razor wire erected at the border, causing serious injuries as a result.
The razor wire has been deployed at several points along the Texas border with Mexico to mitigate the crossing of illegal migrants.
Fox News noted:
The soldier said that while he was standing near the wire, a female migrant grabbed him by the neck. Then, a male migrant grabbed his leg, causing him to tumble into the wire, which authorities had set up to prevent illegal migrant crossings.
The two migrants, aged 38 and 33, were both charged as a result of the attack on the U.S. soldier.

Fox added, "Both were charged with assault, but the woman was charged at large β meaning she was freed β because she was traveling with children. The man, meanwhile received a $3,500 bond."
The fact that the female illegal migrant was released simply because she was traveling with children generated outrage across social media.
One of those outraged at the illegal female Venezuelan being released was former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field officer director John Fabbricatore.
"She assaulted a soldier. If a citizen had done that the children would have been put in state custody and she would be in jail! This is a two-tiered justice system in which illegal aliens are benefiting," he wrote in a post on X.
Notably, the attack comes as the Biden administration quietly reinstated a program to deport Venezuelans back to their country, as they continue to be one of the largest groups of illegals to continuously illegally cross into the United States.
It's clear that the Biden administration is taking last-minute measures to mitigate the absolute chaos at the southern U.S. border before the 2024 election, as it will undoubtedly be one of the Biden administration's biggest failures on record, and ripe for criticism.
