The CEO of Jaguar is stepping down in the wake of a high-profile, woke ad campaign that was ridiculed across the globe, while a Sydney Sweeney ad for American Eagle is experiencing continued financial praise.
Jaguar Land Rover CEO Adrian Mardell is retiring from the luxury carmaker after three decades and serving as chief executive officer for three years.
As reported last month, Jaguar's sales in Europe plunged dramatically, with only 49 vehicles registered in April 2025, a 97.5% drop from the 1,961 units sold in the same month the previous year.
It is believed the dramatic drop was due to the company's "Copy Nothing" ad campaign, which featured androgynous models in brightly colored, surreal outfits, including one man wearing a dress, with slogans including "create exuberant," "live vivid," and "delete ordinary."
It prompted billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk to ask the British car company: "Do you sell cars?"
In November when the new ad campaign debuted, Fox Business reported: "Jaguar could be facing its own Bud Light moment after online backlash to a new ad," referring to the beer giant's massive plunge in sales due to its promotion of transgender personality Dylan Mulvaney.
One online commenter noted, "The funny thing is: Both Jaguar's board AND the CEO doubled down (HARD) when all first happened.
"They should all go. The CEO, the Chief Designer, CPO, Chief Brand person … and the entire board. All of them … should be relieved."
American Eagle's stock reportedly jumped 18% when it debuted its ad campaign touting "Sydney Sweeney has great jeans."
Even President Donald Trump is highlighting the stark difference, saying Monday on Truth Social: "Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the 'HOTTEST' ad out there. It's for American Eagle, and the jeans are 'flying off the shelves.' Go get 'em Sydney!
"On the other side of the ledger, Jaguar did a stupid, and seriously WOKE advertisement, THAT IS A TOTAL DISASTER! The CEO just resigned in disgrace, and the company is in absolute turmoil. Who wants to buy a Jaguar after looking at that disgraceful ad. Shouldn't they have learned a lesson from Bud Lite, which went Woke and essentially destroyed, in a short campaign, the Company.
"The market cap destruction has been unprecedented, with BILLIONS OF DOLLARS SO FOOLISHLY LOST. Or just look at Woke singer Taylor Swift. Ever since I alerted the world as to what she was by saying on TRUTH that I can't stand her (HATE!). She was booed out of the Super Bowl and became, NO LONGER HOT. The tide has seriously turned – Being WOKE is for losers, being Republican is what you want to be. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

In an early Sunday message posted shortly before 2 a.m. Eastern, President Donald Trump unleashed his personal fury against Charlamagne tha God, calling him a "Low IQ" "racist sleazebag," wondering why the popular broadcaster is allowed to use the word "God" in his name.
Charlamagne had just appeared Saturday night on "My View with Lara Trump," hosted by the president's daughter-in-law.
And just hours later, President Trump posted on Truth Social: "The very wonderful and talented Lara Trump, whose show is a big ratings success, put racist sleazebag Charlamagne 'The God' (Why is he allowed to use the word 'GOD' when describing himself? Can anyone imagine the uproar there would be if I used that nickname?).
"He's a Low IQ individual, has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth, and knows nothing about me or what I have done – like just ending 5 Wars, including a 31 year bloodbath between Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, where Seven Million people have died, and there was no end in sight.
"He didn't know that, or India and Pakistan or, wiping out Iran's nuclear capabilities, or closing the horrendous open Border, or creating the greatest economy, where prices and Inflation have come way down, and where STUPID and CORRUPT JOE BIDEN set the record for doing the Worst Job as President, EVER.
"But this dope, Charlamagne, would vote for Sleepy Joe or Kamala? Remember, one year ago our Country was DEAD, now it's the 'HOTTEST' Country anywhere in the World. MAGA!!!"
Charlamagne previously hosted Lara Trump on his podcast, "The Breakfast Club," in October, and the president's daughter returned the favor by inviting him on her Fox News Channel show.
"We're six months into President Trump's second term in office. Now, I know you've been critical – you've had your bones to pick – with President Trump," Lara began.
"If you took his name out of it and looked solely at what has happened, the policies and the things that have changed around the world and in our country over the first six months, how do you rate his presidency so far?" she asked.
"Uh, I wouldn't give it a good rating," Charlamagne replied.
When asked why not, the New York media personality said: "Simply because the least of us are still being impacted the worst."
"When you look at something like the 'big, beautiful bill,' that's something that I'm going to benefit from cause of the tax bracket that I'm in, but there's going to be so many people that's hurt by that bill."
"And anything that takes away Medicaid from people and puts people in a worse financial situation than they were previously in, I'm not for."
"And he ran on that. He ran on the economy. He ran on saying that grocery prices are going to be down," Charlamagne continued.
Lara intejected, "That has happened."
"No," Charlamagne asserted.
"Inflation is trending down," Lara explained.

Suspect identified but motive for violence under investigation
A least four people, possibly six or more, have been killed in a mass shooting at a bar in Montana, according to multiple reports.
The suspect was identified as Michael Brown, 45, of Anaconda, Montana, and he remains at large after what apparently was a high-speed chase in which he fled in a stolen pickup truck.
NBC reported the "multiple fatalities" and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, confirmed the shooting happened at a business, identified as the Owl Bar.
Local media reported the gunman used a "7.62 assault style rifle," and there were 4 to 6 confirmed victims.
The Gateway Pundit said, "The sheriff's office for neighboring Granite County said a suspect was at large. The sheriff's office said on social media that the suspect was wearing a tie-dye shirt, blue jeans and an orange bandana."
The suspect's home already had been searched by a SWAT team, the report said.

Action follows verbal spat over Russia's invasion of Ukraine
President Donald Trump on Friday ordered two of the nation's nuclear submarines "positioned" in case the recent "words" from Russian officials are more than just that.
The dispute came about after Trump, frustrated with Russia's intransigence on reaching a peace accord with Ukraine, which it invaded under the administration of Joe Biden, shortened a deadline for Russia to comply with a ceasefire.
That triggered a response from Dmitry Medvedev, former president of Russia, who threatened, "each new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war."
Trump responded, "Based on the highly provocative statements of the former president of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, who is now the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, I have ordered two nuclear submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions, just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that. Words are very important and can often lead to unintended consequences. I hope this will not be one of those instances. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
Reports confirmed that the submarines were dispatched to "regions near Russia."
Trump, this week, shortened the time frame for Russia to agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine to 10 days, "or be hit … with tariffs."
Trump earlier advised Medvedev to "watch his words," and he accused Trump of a "game of ultimatums."

An insider in America's intelligence community who now has turned whistleblower says he refused to concur in the manipulated intelligence assessment created under Barack Obama that Russia interfered in the 2016 election to help candidate Donald Trump, and immediately was excluded from further discussions.
Further, his concerns about the falsehoods being pushed by that agenda were ignored, he said.
A report in the Washington Times cites the whistleblower, unidentified, in explaining he was pressured by his Obama administration superiors to go along with the staged arguments.
Evidence being found in newly declassified documents suggests that Hillary Clinton fabricated the Russiagate scandal for Trump because of concerns voters would remember her scandalous behavior when she put national secrets on an unsecured computer server she set up.
The documents also suggested the campaign to fabricate claims of links between Trump's campaign and Russia was aided by Democrat officials from Obama down.
More information has been promised, and multiple Obama-era officials already have been referred to the Department of Justice for investigation and possible charges.
The Examiner reported the senior U.S. intel official confirmed he was pressured to endorse the false conclusions created under the anti-Trump scheme, and then he was cut out of discussions.
The report said he was a deputy national intelligence officer at the National Intelligence Council from 2015 to 2020.
"I was pressured to alter my views," the whistleblower said, regarding a "coordinated push" to rally behind the messaging that Russia and Trump were colluding.
His testimony was released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who has been working to declassify government documents from the Obama administration that show attempts to undermine Trump's presidency.
According to the report, "The whistleblower said he objected to framing the Russian operation as a bid to help Trump, rather than a broader attempt to sow discord and distrust, which was the intelligence community's view until after Trump won the election and Obama ordered a new assessment. The whistleblower also accused colleagues of omitting the role of other foreign nations, including U.S. allies, in attempting to influence the electorate."
He said he found out later that the discredited Steele dossier funded by the Clinton campaign had been integrated into an intel community assessment of Russia's attempts to influence American elections.
He also reported being told to conceal from the National Security Council evidence of intercepted communications, instructions that he said came as he was working under then-DNI James Clapper and then-CIA Director John Brennan.
He said he discussed issues with a special counsel, but the complaints apparently never were forwarded.
The Examiner reported the comments are just "the latest in a string of disclosures by the Trump administration as it seeks to expose what officials now describe as a deliberate campaign to weaponize the intelligence apparatus against Trump during the transition period in late 2016 and early 2017."

The federal Bureau of Economy Analysis says its preliminary assessment shows that the U.S. economy, the Gross Domestic Product, expanded at an annual rate of 3% during the second quarter, giving President Donald Trump "more leeway to pursue his agenda," according to one report.
The confirmation also reduced concern that there could be a coming recession, especially after the nation reported a $27 billion trade advantage during the month of June, coincidentally, the same amount that Trump's tariffs produced in income.
Since taking office, Trump has used tariffs, and the threat of higher tariffs, to generate a long list of trade agreements with other countries, the latest being the days-old agreement with the European Union for those members to pay a 15% tariff to America, as well as purchase more products and invest $600 billion.
Trump's goal is to make trade more fair for American corporations and consumers, who long have been subsidizing other nations' revenues.
Analysts had suggested that the growth would be only 2.3%.
The economy had contracted during the first quarter, when Joe Biden left office and Trump's agenda took over.
The surge was pushed by that turnaround in the trade imbalance and upward movement in consumer confidence.
"WAY BETTER THAN EXPECTED," Trump praised on social media.
He also has been pushing for the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates, a move that is expected to give the economy another boost.
"MUST NOW LOWER THE RATE. No Inflation! Let people buy, and refinance, their homes!" the president said.
It was the Washington Examiner that said the economy's performance "allays fears about a possible recession" and also "gives President Donald Trump more leeway to pursue his agenda."
During the first quarter, the GDP fell 0.5%.
The "tsunami wave of imports receded in the second quarter lifting economic growth spectacularly and keeping the U.S. well away from the threat of recession," FWDBONDS chief economist Chris Rupkey said in the report.
An area still needing to improve, however, he said, includes housing construction.,
The report also noted the economy again beat expectations in June and added 147,000 jobs, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics said unemployment was down to 4.2%. It had exploded past the 9% mark during Biden's tenure.

The United States Secret Service has reportedly launched a probe into one of its own agents who allegedly tried to sneak his wife onto a plane accompanying President Donald Trump's trip to Scotland this week.
Susan Crabtree of RealClearPolitics posted on X: "The Secret Service has launched an investigation into an incident over the weekend in which an agent tried to smuggle his wife onto a USSS carplane accompanying President Trump's visit to Scotland."
"The agent in question is a Phase 1 agent (new trainee in first years on the job) who was written up multiple times for misconduct at the Rowley Training Center where agents go through their preliminary training to become agents and can wash out if held to proper standards, according to two sources in the Secret Service community."
Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the agency, provided a statement, indicating: "The U.S. Secret Service is conducting a personnel investigation after an employee attempted to invite his spouse – a member of the United States Air Force – aboard a mission support flight.
"The aircraft, operated by the U.S. Air Force, was being used by the Secret Service to transport personnel and equipment. Prior to the overseas departure, the employee was advised by supervisors that such action was prohibited, and the spouse was subsequently prevented from taking the flight.
"No Secret Service protectees were aboard and there was no impact to our overseas protective operations."
Crabtree notes the statement by Guglielmi "leaves several basic questions unanswered as to why this agent thought it would be okay to take his wife, an Air Force employee, on the C-17 carplane to Scotland."
"When I asked whether anyone in a position of authority signed off on it or gave the impression it would be okay, Guglielmi told me the investigation would determine that."
Crabtree originally reported: "The agent flew his wife to Maryland, then she even received the official Secret Service country brief at the hotel and rode the bus to the distinguished visitor lounge at Joint Base Andrews before she was discovered and told to leave."
Some reaction online includes:
"DEFINITELY, the agent & his wife have to be seriously investigated. With the bounty put on Pres Trump's head by Iran we have to go to the old cliche 'EVERYONE HAS A PRICE.' Personally Pres Trump's Secret Service detail cannot take things like this lightly. Remember Butler!!"
"I'm sure I'll get a lot of hate for this, but we have bigger fish to fry in the Secret Service than this agent inviting his active-duty wife. Is it unbecoming? Absolutely. But I'm more interested in learning more about the kid in Pennsylvania than this incident."

President Donald Trump on Monday drastically cut the 50-day deadline for Russian President Vladimir Putin to come to a ceasefire deal in Ukraine.
During his meeting with U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Turnberry, Scotland, Trump said the 50 days would be slashed to "10 to 12 days."
"I'm gonna make a new deadline of about 10, 10 or 12 days from today," Trump told reporters. "There's no reason they're waiting … it's 50 days, I want to be generous, but we just don't see any progress being made."
Earlier in the day, Trump noted: "We thought we had that settled numerous times, and then President Putin goes out and starts launching rockets into some city like Kyiv and kills a lot of people in a nursing home or whatever, you have bodies lying all over the street. And I say that's not the way to do it."
"I'm disappointed in President Putin, very disappointed in him. I'm going to reduce that 50 days that I gave him to a lesser number because I think I already know the answer what's going to happen."
The president also said he has no interest in discussing the matter with Putin at this point due to his duplicitous actions.
"I'm not so interested in talking anymore," said Trump.
"We have such nice conversations, such respectful and nice conversations, and then people die the following night with a missile going into a town."

Chaos erupted in the sky Sunday as a deranged man on a flight to Scotland threatened to blow up the plane and "send a message" of death to Donald Trump while the U.S. president is in Scotland.
"I'm going to bomb the plane! Death to America! Death to Trump!" the 41-year-old man screamed before fellow passengers tackled him to the floor of easyJet flight 609 from London to Glasgow.
The harrowing incident took place about 8 a.m., an hour after departure from London's Luton Airport.
One passenger told the London newspaper The Sun: "He literally came out of the toilet shouting 'Allahu Akbar' (God is great) with his hands above his head. Then he said 'I've got a bomb, I've got a bomb' – at this point, people were confused."
"I thought he was joking, I mean, it's a weird joke."
"He pushed the airline staff and was being aggressive towards them. He was a big guy, about six foot, and they were these petite women," the passenger added.
"When he pushed them, that's when things changed. At that point, one guy managed to grab him from behind and pull him down, then everyone jumped on top of him.
"He was fighting a bit on the floor, but at this point, he knew he'd f***ked up."
"The pilot announced he was making an emergency landing and took the plane down so quickly," he continued.
"Everyone who wasn't restraining him was told to sit down. The three guys pinning him down, they landed whilst pinning him down. It was incredible.
"I've never seen that before. The airline staff, they were all girls, they were really shaken up by it, but they were super professional."
"Some of the passengers were crying because they were shaken up. It was just a bit surreal."
President Trump was just an hour away from Glasgow at his Turnberry golf course, as he announced new trade deals with the European Union.
EasyJet confirmed police arrested a suspect whose name has not been released after the plane was forced to make an emergency landing.
"Flight EZY609 from Luton to Glasgow this morning was met by police on arrival in Glasgow, where they boarded the aircraft and removed a passenger due to their behavior onboard," the company indicated.
"The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is always easyJet's highest priority."

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, a Democrat former bartender now representing New York in Congress, wore a specially produced gown in the pricey Met Gala a few years ago. It carried her political message to "Tax the Rich."
Now she's paying for it.
A report at the Business Insider reveals she's "on the hook for $2,983.28" after the House Ethics panel closed its investigation into her stunt.
The ethics committee concluded she "impermissibly accepted gifts" during her appearance at the event in 2021.
The report explained the committee's 31-page ruling confirmed that she stepped outside the House rules and she must pay from her own personal funds to solve the issue.
Included was $250 for her fiance, Riley Roberts, to attend the event, plus $2,733.28 to Brother Vellies, the business that fabricated the dress.
A spokesman for her office said she would make the payments.
"The Congresswoman appreciates the Committee finding that she made efforts to ensure her compliance with House Rules and sought to act consistently with her ethical requirements as a Member of the House. She accepts the ruling and will remedy the remaining amounts, as she's done at each step in this process," the statement said.
The report noted Cortez and Roberts already had paid another $6,853.75 for other services they received that night, such as transportation and lodging.
WND previously has reported on her penchant for extremism.
For example, she accused Christians of "weaponizing" the Bible to support "bigotry."
At a Democratic-led House Oversight Committee hearing a few years ago regarding President Donald Trump's "religious liberty assault on LGBTQ rights," she said Christians who justified slavery in the 19th century did the same, the Washington Examiner reported.
"It's very difficult to sit here and listen to arguments in the long history of this country of using Scripture and weaponizing and using Scripture to justify bigotry," she said. "White supremacists have done it. Those who justify slavery have done it. Those who fought against integration did it."
See her remarks:
She charged that the nation is writing bigotry into its laws.
"I am tired of communities of faith being weaponized and being mischaracterized because the only time religious freedom is invoked is in the name of bigotry and discrimination," she said.
At the time, the Trump administration argued against LGBTQ activists using the law to force Christians to violate their faith in several cases. The government argued in a Kentucky case that a "non-discrimination" ordinance cannot be used to force a wedding photographer to violate her Christian faith by advocating for same-sex ceremonies.
