An instructor at Washington State University who was captured on security video beating up a student who was wearing a MAGA hat is learning the cost of his political violence: His job.

The professor, Patrick Mahoney, "has been fired from his post," according to the Daily Mail.

The video showed Mahoney, "along with student Gerald Hoff, ripped Jay Sani's hat from him while outside of a bar near the Pullman campus on February 28."

The video confirms Sani, who is Indian-American, was pushed to the ground by the two men and punched repeatedly. He was left with scrapes and bruises and reported the assault to police.

The university later confirmed that Mahoney was "relieved of all teaching responsibilities."

"Washington State University is aware of an off-campus incident that occurred last February involving a WSU staff member and a graduate student. After an investigation conducted by the City of Pullman's police department, and in accordance with WSU policies, the staff member's employment has been terminated. The second individual involved was a graduate student serving as a teaching assistant. He was not a Washington State University professor. This person has been relieved of all teaching responsibilities."

The report said the video was first obtained by Turning Point USA Frontlines reporter Jonathan Choe, and it confirmed that policy bodycam footage confirmed the offenders "admitted to the assault."

Mahoney, to the police, tried to blame the victim.

The two attackers have also been arrested and charged with assault.

A Facebook post said, "A fight ensued, which resulted in Jay Sani being thrown onto the concrete. This caused Jay Sani to bleed and suffer further injuries. One or more of them then proceeded to kick Jay Sani while he collapsed on the concrete."

The report noted that Mahoney "has been active in pro-Palestinian demonstrations, including advocating for the Pullman City Council to sign a Gaza ceasefire resolution."

President Donald Trump has openly promoted his plan to fire thousands, even tens of thousands of federal workers, to cut waste, fraud, and corruption from the government.

He's already accomplished a lot of that, shutting down some entire bureaucracies with plans for more.

But now he's going full throttle, with an announcement that the administration is moving ahead with a new rule, previously known as "Schedule F," that will make it a lot easier to remove federal employees it believes "are undercutting President Trump's agenda."

report from Axios noted the plan apparently will limit "civil service protections" for about 50,000, or 2% of the federal workforce.

The report explained, "The Office of Personnel Management's new rule — dubbed 'Schedule Policy/Career' — will allow many career civil servants to be classified as 'at will' employees, making them easier to remove. Trump aides argue they need greater flexibility to fire civil servants who are underperforming, engaging in misconduct, or undermining Trump's policy plans."

While many, many federal employees are supposedly performing "nonpartisan" jobs, many of those have, in fact, made their posts partisan by pursuing their own political agendas while being paid by taxpayers.

Those would be known these days as the "Deep State," which in fact has weaponized large parts of the federal bureaucracy against Trump.

The report said it was toward the end of his first term that Trump, by executive order, established a Schedule F category, but Joe Biden immediately killed the plan.

The report noted that a White House official confirmed that even unelected career bureaucrats need to be accountable for the agenda chosen by voters.

It was earlier this month that some agencies started picking which positions should fall under the new definition, the report said.

Leftists have claimed the cuts already being made by the Department of Government Efficiency are threatening operations of key programs such as Social Security, but Trump actually has ordered that program recipients be provided benefits as usual.

"Trump's plans to implement the rule have drawn aggressive pushback from labor groups," the report said, citing the  American Federation of Government Employees and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, who have sued to restore protections for their dues-paying members.

DEI agendas still found in law schools, colleges of education, engineering, nursing, more

A report from an education industry watchdog confirms that hundreds of colleges and universities across the nation are defying President Donald Trump's executive orders to end promotions for the discrimination found in "diversity, equity, and inclusion" ideologies on their campuses.

Many are simply relabeling the offices, excising the DEI moniker and installing "Advocacy," "Belonging," "Community," "Inclusive," "Resilience" and the like, the report said.

It's from Defending Education, an arm of Parents Defending Education, and confirmed 243 universities still are running their DEI agenda through on-campus offices.

The organization reported it reviewed schools in 46 states plus the District of Columbia, assessing the work of 259 institutions.

Colleges and universities with active DEI projects totaled 243 and total active DEI offices/programming (including colleges or departments) totaled 388.

They are found in business schools, law schools, colleges of education, engineering, dentistry, medicine, nursing, health and more.

"This investigation is intended to track the current state of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) offices and programming (names will vary) at colleges and universities. It is meant to identify which institutions currently have DEI offices, have shut them down, or appear to have renamed or rebranded their DEI offices and programming," the report said.

"To date, Defending Education has tracked 243 universities which still have institution-wide DEI offices and/or programming in operation, 166 schools or colleges (such as Colleges of Education, Engineering, or Medicine, etc.), with an overall total of 388 currently active DEI offices and programming."

Further, it reported, "Additionally, 28 institutions and schools/colleges appear to have renamed or rebranded their DEI offices, 16 universities have removed webpages and/or shut down DEI initiatives, and in a few cases, have moved the DEI webpage behind an institutional login. These cases are noted with an archived page of that institution's former DEI page."

There are some, like the University of Alaska Anchorage, where officials "seem to have completely shut down DEI operations," and the University of Michigan, which "has allegedly shut down its overarching 'Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.'"

But at Michigan Law, or the LSA Department of Psychology, the ideology, which largely is based on discrimination based on race, sex and such, "still have active DEI pages."

A report on the dispute, from the Washington Stand, explained the report is not exhaustive.

And Family Research Council Senior Fellow for Education Studies Meg Kilgannon said, "It would be naive to think that reforming educational institutions could be accomplished by the stroke of a pen."

She continued, "DEI is rooted in a belief system that is enforced, but more than that, it is accepted and believed. The hearts and minds of people running colleges and universities must change if we want true reform. It will take generations to transform higher education."

Trump condemned the agenda in his order, describing how the agenda violates "the text and spirit of our longstanding federal civil-rights laws."

Further, he said, they undermine traditional American values.

His order included instructions for schools to purge DEI offices and programs and instead, enforce federal civil rights laws.

'The trend to the GOP appears real and partly due to its focus on working-class voters while Democrats embrace elites'

Democrats lost, catastrophically, during the 2024 election. They lost the White House by landslides in both the popular and Electoral College vote. They lost the Senate, they failed to capture the House.

And that was the result after polling showed the Republican party with a single-point advantage among voters.

Now that advantage is up to five points.
That's from polling by NatpolitanNews, which explained, "In March, 46% of voters considered themselves Republicans or leaned Republican, while 41% considered themselves Democrats or leaned Democrat.

"These totals, derived from interviews with 9,300 Registered Voters during the month of March, have remained steady for the first quarter of 2025," it said.

Further, "Fifty-one percent (51%) of men said they were Republicans or leaned Republican while 38% said the opposite (down 4 points from February). Among women, the numbers were little changed with 46% Democrat/lean Democrat and 41% Republican/lean Republican. While the Republicans gained ground since October, those gains have leveled off as the Trump administration approaches its first 100 days in office."

The Washington Examiner explained it was only two years ago that Gallup confirmed "more Americans identified as Republicans than Democrats for the first time in over three decades."

Now that trend has grown "as the GOP has won over more support from Hispanic and black voters," the report said.

The report said Gallup's results of 10,000 found 45% identified as Republicans and 44% as Democrats.

The report also noted that partisan IDs tend to "be fickle.""While it's hard for people in the political world to accept, party ID is fluid. During a campaign season, people who think of themselves as independent tend to align with a party — or at least lean toward a party. That's why the number of Republicans goes up with a Trump victory," explained pollster Scott Rasmussen.

But the report explained, "The trend to the GOP appears real and partly due to its focus on working-class voters while Democrats embrace elites. Rasmussen said that change has helped the Republicans win over key minorities."

Rasmussen said there is a "long-term shift" that is happening.

"It's often talked about as Republicans becoming the working-class party. While not entirely accurate, the shifting party coalitions are helping the GOP. The working class shift is helping R's make preliminary inroads into the black community and strong gains among Hispanic voters," he said.

He also cited the "extreme" views of Democrats, pointing out it is hard for voters to align with those perspectives.

The State Department has eliminated $214 million in foreign funding initiatives, reports the Washington Free Beacon, canceling 139 grants that promoted things like "newsroom sustainability" in Moldova, "media diversity" in the United Kingdom, and "environmental resilience" in Armenia.

DOGE carried out the "supplemental review of remaining foreign assistance grant programs" after the State Department completed its initial foreign funding review in late February, an internal State Department memo obtained by the Free Beacon shows. This round of cuts comes after an initial DOGE review saw the State Department identify $60 billion worth of foreign grants for elimination.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted on X to highlight the action, saying, "We are cleaning up the mess left by the previous administration":

According to the Free Beacon, many of the latest round of canceled taxpayer-funded grants related to the media, including a $14.6 million program that supported "expanded newsroom sustainability and engagement" in Moldova; a $5.2 million "media diversity" grant that funded an "anti-disinformation program in the United Kingdom"; a $400,000 "Building Environmental Resilience" grant in Armenia; a $1 million grant "channeling gig workers' rights" in Brazil; and a $750,000 grant for "building the migrant domestic worker-led movement" in Lebanon, where Hezbollah holds sway over the government.

These latest cuts primarily impact the State Department's Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, a grantmaking body that came under congressional scrutiny in 2022 for offering taxpayer cash to nonprofit organizations engaged in efforts to investigate alleged Israeli war crimes.

Other grants canceled included a $2.4 million initiative to combat "disinformation through creative content" in Belarus and $900,000 to establish a "place for women to join to organize" in Mauritania.

It appears that Joe Biden not only gave terrorists literally unlimited access to the United States when they entered illegally, but he gave them Social Security cards.

Through this, they've successfully collected from American taxpayers Medicaid benefits, unemployment compensation, student loans, and even tax refunds.

According to President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency, "Under the Biden administration, it was routine for Border Patrol to admit aliens into the United States with no legal status and minimal screening. So far, CBP identified a subset of 6.3k individuals paroled into the United States since 2023 on the FBI's Terrorist Screening Center watchlist or with criminal records.

"These paroles have since been terminated with immediate effect. Despite having no other legal status, paroled aliens are able to file for work authorization and receive social security numbers. Among these 6.3k paroled aliens with criminal or terrorist records (all have a social security number): – 905 collecting Medicaid (including 4 on the terrorist watch list). $276k was paid out – 41 collecting Unemployment Insurance, receiving $42k in benefits – 22 received federal student loans totaling $280k – 409 received {net} tax refunds (2024 only) for $751k – Several (final number TBD) received SNAP (food stamp) benefits."

According to a report in Center Square, there are more than 14 million illegal border crossers reported under the Biden administration, including more than two million who evaded detection.

"They include millions flown to the U.S. on international flights paid for by taxpayers through parole programs created by the administration that judges ruled were illegal in lawsuits filed by states. Among them are more than one million from Venezuela, including members of the violent terrorist organization Tren de Aragua, who under the Biden administration had expanded into at least 22 states where crimes were reported," the report said.

Biden routinely released the illegals into the United States, instead of processing them for removal, including some 6,300 "on the FBI's Terrorist Screening Center watchlist."

Trump has ended those parole programs, the report said.

PALM BEACH, Florida – President Donald Trump on Sunday took to social media to affirm "nobody is getting off the hook" when it comes to trade imbalances with the United States, as he blamed the national news media for inaccurate reporting.

"NOBODY is getting 'off the hook' for the unfair Trade Balances, and Non Monetary Tariff Barriers, that other Countries have used against us, especially not China which, by far, treats us the worst!" Trump exclaimed on Truth Social. "There was no Tariff 'exception' announced on Friday."

"These products are subject to the existing 20% Fentanyl Tariffs, and they are just moving to a different Tariff 'bucket.' The Fake News knows this but refuses to report it.

"We are taking a look at Semiconductors and the WHOLE ELECTRONICS SUPPLY CHAIN in the upcoming National Security Tariff Investigations.

"What has been exposed is that we need to make products in the United States and that we will not be held hostage by other Countries, especially hostile trading Nations like China, which will do everything within its power to disrespect the American People. We also cannot let them continue to abuse us on Trade like they have for decades, THOSE DAYS ARE OVER!

"The Golden Age of America, which includes the upcoming Tax and Regulation Cuts, a substantial amount of which was just approved by the House and Senate, will mean more and better paying jobs, making products in our Nation, and treating other Countries, in particular China, the same way they have treated us.

"The bottom line is that our Country will be bigger, better, and stronger than ever before. We will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller appeared on "Sunday Morning Futures" with Maria Bartiromo to set the record straight about the status of electronic items, including computers, smartphones, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, wireless routers, USB flash drives, memory chips, and memory cards.

"President Trump had a detailed plan from the beginning that's being executed exactly as directed," Miller said. "And unfortunately, some in the media are deliberately misportraying that plan.

"There are no exemptions," Miller explained. "Everyone pays at least the 20% and these particular components are being put through a separate process controlled by the Department of Commerce."

"So this is a sophisticated, elegant, detailed plan to deal with Chinese economic aggression against the United States."

Meanwhile, China urged Trump on Sunday to correct mistakes and heed "rational voices" on reciprocal tariffs, according to CNBC.

Beijing's Commerce Ministry called any U.S. tariff exemptions a "small step" and pressed Trump to "completely abolish" the tariffs, which include a 145% duty on imports from China.

"We urge the U.S. to heed the rational voices of the international community and domestic parties, take a big stride in correcting its mistakes, completely abolish the wrongful action of 'reciprocal tariffs,' and return to the correct path of resolving differences through equal dialogue based on mutual respect," the ministry said, according to a CNBC translation.

The iconic image of President Trump raising his fist, blood streaming down his face, just moments after an assassination attempt last summer is causing some stir online.

The president has replaced a portrait of former President Obama in the White House Entrance Hall with an artist's rendering of the Butler, Pennsylvania, photo.

The White House posted a brief video on X revealing the new artwork:

Another post drew attention to the fact a portrait of Obama had once hung in the same spot.

And, predictably, some were unhappy with the change, as evidenced by the following post and response:

Red State reported that the Obama portrait was still there, just positioned elsewhere in the Entrance Hall. And The Hill acknowledged it's "not unusual for the presidential portraits at the White House to be rearranged after a new commander in chief enters the Oval Office."

A Space Force commander who dispatched an email to her command, undermining President Donald Trump, has been relieved of her duties.

A report at Military.com explained that Col. Susannah (Susan) Meyers told members of her command at a Greenland Base about her personal political preferences following a recent visit by Vice President JD Vance and his family.

Trump, of course, has suggested over and over that Greenland become part of the United States, prompting some fretting on the part of officials there, and in Denmark, which is its parent country.

After Vance's visit, Meyers told her supporting officers that she "spent the weekend thinking about Friday's visit — the actions taken, the words spoken, and how it must have affected each of you."

She continued, "I do not presume to understand current politics, but what I do know is the concerns of the U.S. administration discussed by Vice President Vance on Friday are not reflective of Pituffik Space Base."

She was subsequently relieved of her command.

Meyers was the chief of the 821st Space Base Group.

"I commit that, for as long as I am lucky enough to lead this base, all of our flags will fly proudly — together," her messaging said.

Military.com explained, "President Donald Trump and Vance have repeatedly spoken about their desire for the U.S. to take control of Greenland, which is a territory of fellow NATO member Denmark. Both Trump and Vance have also said they support the Greenland people's right to self-determination, though polling has suggested a vast majority of residents there do not want to become part of the U.S."

Vance had criticized Denmark, claiming that incursions by China and Russia had put the territory at risk.

report at Fox said Space Force confirmed Meyers was removed "due to loss of confidence in her ability to lead."

"Commanders are expected to adhere to the highest standards of conduct, especially as it relates to remaining nonpartisan in the performance of their duties," the statement read.

There's a new path for those who want to be ignored by the White House press office to reach their goal: Tell press secretary Karoline Leavitt what pronouns you demand she uses.

That's according to a report from Fox News, which explained the Trump White House press office won' respond to emailed questions "from reporters who display their pronouns in their email signatures."

Those questioners, in fact, deny "biological reality" and cannot be trusted to write "honest stories," the report said.

It was Michael Grynbaum, of the leftist New York Times, who complained the press office three times has rejected emails from reporters who promote their gender-identifying labels.

President Donald Trump has, in an executive order, declared that the U.S. government recognizes two genders, male and female. And he's also said there's no room in the U.S. military for individuals who suffer from the affliction of gender dysphoria because of the unreliability they would exhibit in deployments, and the extraordinary expenses for treatment they would want.

The report explained, "Grynbaum also reached out to Leavitt for comment, inquiring whether this type of response was a press office policy. The press secretary replied via email, 'Any reporter who chooses to put their preferred pronouns in their bio clearly does not care about biological reality or truth and therefore cannot be trusted to write an honest story.'"

And Steven Cheung, the White House communications director, said,"If The New York Times spent the same amount of time actually reporting the truth as they do being obsessed with pronouns, maybe they would be a half-decent publication."

Fox explained the Trump administration also has moved to protect women and girls in sports events, barring men who say they are women from those competitions. It also has removed gender identity language throughout the federal government.
