A photograph from 2013 suggests Canadian Prime Minister-elect Mark Carney may have troubling ties to late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, the New York Post reported. The photo shows Carney in a friendly chat with Epstein's accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving 20 years in prison after being a 2021 sex trafficking conviction.
Carney is slated to take over for outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau until a general election is held. A vote Sunday gave Carney the coveted temporary position as the new Liberal Party leader, but an incriminating photo could be his undoing.
The photos first circulated in January when Carney announced he would vie for Trudeau's position. Now, they have returned to social media and could threaten his future as Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre hammers him over it.

The photos were reportedly taken at a UK music festival and feature the 59-year-old, his wife, Maxwell, and another unidentified man. The photo shows the subjects looking relaxed and engaged with one another.
The timeline tracks with the aftermath of Epstein's first conviction in 2008 for procuring a child for prostitution. Epstein served 13 months for that crime, but Maxwell was yet to be brought up on charges of her own at that time.
Carney's team claims that this is a political ploy perpetrated on him by his opponent. "This is another example of how [Conservative leader] Pierre Poilievre and [his PR head] Jenni Byrne have always played politics, and it shows again how terrified they are to fight Mark Carney," a source close to the matter said when the photos first surfaced.
Another source claims Carney was merely an acquaintance of Maxwell's because she went to the same high school as his sister-in-law, but they were nothing more. "They have bumped into each other in public settings. They are not friends," the source added.
Others, including President Donald Trump, also have been photographed with Epstein and Maxwell over the years. However, the couple's illicit activity was not made public until relatively recently, and all who get caught in photos with them deny it.
This mini-scandal comes as Canada is poised to choose a new prime minister after Trudea's reign comes to an end. Carney clinched 86% of the Liberal Party's vote to become its new leader and take over for Trudeau, perhaps for good.
Carney is pushing back hard on Trump's proposed tariffs and the notion that the nation to the north will become America's 51st state. "America is not Canada," Carney said as he accepted his new role.
"And Canada never, ever will be part of America in any way, shape or form. We didn’t ask for this fight, but Canadians are always ready when someone else drops the gloves," Carney said.
"The Americans want our resources, our water, our land, our country… Think about it. If they succeed, they will destroy our way of life," Carney, a former banker who has never been elected to political office, warned.
The Epstein issue has ensnared countless people at the highest echelons of power. Carney is yet another prominent person who was somehow caught in their orbit while claiming to know nothing about their crimes.
President Donald Trump has nominated Ret. Air Force Lt. Gen. Dan "Razin'" Caine as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Daily Caller reported. Caine would replace outgoing Air Force Gen. Charles Q. Brown, who was ousted because of his support for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
One of Trump's improvements to the military is to dispense with DEI policies that have arguably harmed wartime readiness. While the chairman usually serves through several administrations, Brown is leaving over the difference of opinion.
The president chose Caine as a suitable replacement based on his vast experience. He had served during Trump's first term as the commanding general of the U.S. Central Command Special Operations Component in Iraq.
In a post to his TruthSocial, Trump called Caine a "warfighter" who was "instrumental in the complete annihilation of the ISIS caliphate." This change came at a time when a shakeup was needed most.
Caine enlisted in the Air National Guard and served with the 138th Fighter Squadron at Syracuse Air Force Base between 1994 and 1998. Later, he was deployed to Iraq for a tour in 2001 and another in 2003 before becoming the Counterterrorism and Strategy based out of Washington, D.C.
The 56-year-old later served as the Special Access Programs Central Office director in 2019 and special assistant to the Chief of the National Guard Bureau in September 2021. Caine became the associate director for Military Affairs at the CIA in December 2021 before retiring in December 2024.
Even during his time in flight school, it was clear that Caine was exceptional. "He always kept striving for more and striving for perfection," his former flight instructor, Ret. Col. Gary Atkin recalled.
"There’s guys that sit around the squadron and drink beer, and then there’s other guys that keep trying to do more stuff, you know. So that was Dan," Atkin said, referring to the latter.
"He was working on the test center out in Tucson, going to fighter weapons school. He was always kind of looking for all of these other things," Atkin added. Caine made a positive impression on Trump when he promised to help eliminate ISIS then did just that.
One of the highlights of Caine's career came during Operation Iraqi Freedom, destroying SCUD missile sites. Former pilot James Rennan was one of the members of the 149th Lone Star Gunfighters who joined Caine on this clandestine mission that was particularly difficult.
"That was a pretty complex mission for the F-16. Partially because of our speeds, we were getting used to new targeting pods, night vision goggles, all this kind of stuff. And although most of us were proficient F-16 pilots, very few guys have the discipline to be the resident expert, and it became evident Raisin’ was the smartest guy in the room," Rennan said of Caine.
"He could hang out on the pro level, very relatable, very friendly, but like when he spoke, he was our subject matter expert on power. SCUD was a mission that none of us had really flown," Rennan explained.
He noted that Caine made quite an impression on military leaders. "I think he’s put himself in a really good position, from operational fighter pilot, worked his way through the ranks, lots of jobs, special access, CIA; He’s really provided himself with some broad perspective to be an effective leader," Rennan said.
Caine is the perfect choice for the position at the top of the Department of Defense, given his experience. He will likely be confirmed in the Senate even if Democrats vote for him kicking and screaming.
The student who has been leading Columbia University's anti-Israel protests was arrested by ICE agents Saturday night in his university-owned apartment a few blocks from the campus, his lawyers told the New York Post.
Mahmoud Khalil already has his graduate degree from Columbia, having graduated in December, but he was allowed to remain on campus according to the school's policies.
His undergraduate degree is from Beirut. He was responsible for Palestinian activism at Columbia and Barnard College, reportedly seeking the “total eradication of Western civilization.”
Video and audio from X depicted Khalil holding a bullhorn during last week’s takeover of the Milstein Library at Barnard College.
The protest included propaganda flyers from the Hamas Media Office and reportedly justified the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel that resulted in 1,200 casualties, over 250 hostages, and many women raped and others injured.
“These protesters were handing out materials from terrorist organizations Hamas and Hezbollah. Every American citizen should be concerned when students are encouraging terrorist activities on US soil regardless of their nationality," Ari Shrage, head of Columbia’s Jewish Alumni Association, told the Post about the protest.
While the ICE agents were arresting Khalil, Columbia put out a statement saying that the agents were on campus and said it would not cooperate with them except when required by law.
“Consistent with our longstanding practice and the practice of cities and institutions throughout the country, law enforcement must have a judicial warrant to enter non-public university areas, including university buildings,” the statement read in part.
“Columbia is committed to complying with all legal obligations and supporting our student body and campus community," it continued.
Of course, responses like the one at Columbia are exactly why these protests continue to go on for weeks on end and why they haven't stopped in the almost 18 months since the attack.
When colleges express solidarity with the protesters and give them a slap on the wrist rather than any meaningful consequence for their actions, of course they are going to keep right on doing what they please.
It's now hateful on many campuses to call a person by their biologically correct but not preferred pronouns, but it's not hateful to say that Hamas was justified to attack Israel, kill 1,200 people, rape hundreds of women, and take 250-plus hostages.
It seems to me like these colleges should face some kind of consequences for the way they've screwed up the minds of thousands of college students at a formative time in their lives when they don't know enough about reality yet to know they're being fed lies.
It's good to see Trump and ICE taking on these protesters and their leadership and finding ways to stop them, even if they have to deport them.
The music world is mourning the loss of one-third of a groundbreaking 1990s trio that scored a series of R&B hits that remain classics to this day.
D'Wayne Wiggins, known as one of the founding members behind Grammy-nominated act Tony! Toni! Tone! died on Friday at the age of 64 following a battle with bladder cancer, as Breitbart reports.
Wiggins' death was made public through a statement his family released on Instagram, one which testified to the expansive nature of his career as well as his personally compassionate nature.
“D'Wayne's life was incomparable, and his music and service impacted millions around the world, including in his hometown of Oakland, California,” the tribute began.
Wiggins' family went on, “He was a guitarist, producer, composer, philanthropist, mentor and founding member of Tony! Toni! Tone! He was deeply passionate about providing artist development and mentorship to emerging young musicians, helping to shape the early careers of many.”
The statement also referenced Wiggins' valiant year-long battle with bladder cancer, adding, “Through this fight, he remained committed and present for his family, his music, his fans and his community.”
The severity of Wiggins' condition seemed to emerge on Wednesday, when his bandmates issued a statement revealing that the bassist and vocalist was experiencing some “medical complications” and was attempting to deal with them “one day at a time,” and followers also took note that a March 22 concert in California had been canceled as had a May 23 appearance in Detroit.
Wiggins, together with his brother, Raphael Saadiq, and their cousin, Christian Riley, formed the standout R&B trio that took the world by storm in the 90s, exemplifying the sound known as New Jack Swing.
The group was propelled to stardom by such memorable tunes as “It Never Rains (in Southern California)”, “Anniversary,” “(Lay Your Head on My) Pillow,” and “Feels Good.”
Amid creative and financial disputes among the group's members, Tony! Toni! Tone! underwent a breakup following the release of the band's fourth album, with Wiggins and Riley touring with a new lead singer, but a reunion tour that saw Saadiq's return kicked off in 2023 amid a vow from all three to never allow outside influences to force another split.
According to an Associated Press interview conducted in 2023, the group even had plans to launch a new project.
Wiggins said at the time, “We got a lot of material, and now we just want to make sure that we put out the right energy through our music.”
Among those paying tribute to Wiggins were members of 90s R&B juggernaut En Vogue, whose Instagram account posted a message that said the late star's music “is a lasting legacy, inspiring artists for generations to come.”
Popular radio program The Breakfast Club also commented on the news of Wiggins' death, offering “healing energy to his family, friends, and fans of this legend,” echoing the sentiments of the millions across the world who were – and continue to be – touched by his artistry.
A meeting between President Donald Trump's Cabinet Thursday turned tense, according to the New York Times. However, when asked about it by a journalist, the president denied the report and called him a "troublemaker."
The meeting was scheduled late on Wednesday and convened in the Cabinet Room of the White House the following day. Five sources supposedly close to the matter claimed a squabble erupted between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk.
The Tesla billionaire was angry at Rubio for firing "nobody" as Musk continues to cut government waste. He claimed Rubio was "good on TV" which insinuated that he was all show and no action while Musk is slashing government personnel.
Trump reportedly came to Rubio's defense, stating that he's done a "great job" and that he has many competing responsibilities. This situation was recounted in the Times, which made it seem like a monumental shift had taken place.
The media was all ready to run with this salacious story about in-fighting at the White House. A reporter from NBC News asked Trump about what the Times claimed about the Cabinet meeting.
The Hill reported that the press was at the Oval Office on Thursday for a meeting about the possibility of the 2026 World Cup being held in the U.S. As soon as the reporter asked the question, Trump shut it down.
“No clash, I was there, you’re just a troublemaker. And you’re not supposed to be asking that question because we’re talking about the World Cup," Trump told the reporter.
"Elon gets along great with Marco, and they’re both doing a fantastic job. There is no clash," Trump insisted. The clip was widely shared to social media, including a post from commentator Benny Johnson on X, formerly Twitter, Friday.

The leftist media has created a bogeyman out of Musk and his work with DOGE. While the American people see his single-minded mission of cutting waste as a good thing, the left has demonized the SpaceX mogul.
Perhaps that's why the narrative about a row at the Cabinet meeting was just too good to pass up. Even if there's some truth to the fact that there was a disagreement, it's clear that Trump is in control of all that's happening.
As the Times reported, Trump promised that his administration would use a "scalpel" instead of a "hatchet" with its cuts, demonstrating that Musk's powers are limited. Trump also praised Musk and Rubio to the press before signaling that personnel issues are up to the Cabinet members.
"They both get along fantastically well. Marco has done unbelievably as secretary of State. And Elon is a unique guy, he’s done a fantastic job," Trump said. "I want the Cabinet members, go first, keep all the people you want. Everybody that you need," Trump added.
There isn't an administration that hasn't seen its share of internal conflict. It's unclear who present would have leaked the exchange between Musk and Rubio or whether it even happened, but the spinning of the narrative is all par for the course from mainstream news outlets.
A suspect was arrested Tuesday in Fort Worth, Texas, for the murder of G$ Lil Ronnie, whose real name is Ronnie Sibley, and his five-year-old daughter R’mani Sibley, Breitbart reported. The pair were gunned down at a car wash in Forest Hill, Texas, on Monday.
Forest Hill Police Chief David Hernandez announced that Adonis Robison, 24, was apprehended in Livingston, Texas, at a Chevron station. The Fort Worth resident and career criminal has been charged with capital murder for his role in the crime.
Another suspect in the murder remains at large. Video first released by TMZ showed the moments before Sibley's death as he attempted to flee from the killers before being gunned down in a hail of bullets.

Police have been searching for Robinson and 21-year-old Jakobie Russel, who is believed to be the other shooter, the New York Post reported. "Now we’ve identified the two cowards who took the lives of these innocent people," Hernandez said in a news conference Wednesday.
"We have public enemy No. 1, Adonis Robinson, who’s also a registered sex offender. Public enemy No. 2, Jakobie Russell, who’s on the run," Hernandez went on.
As Breitbart noted, Robinson is no stranger to violent crime. He was convicted of attempted sexual assault after accosting a 55-year-old woman who was walking alone on a trail. He was also charged with failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
In August 2024, he was released from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Russell, who is still on the run, also has criminal convictions, including firearms possession, assault bodily injury, and assault of a pregnant woman.
"They’re scared. They’re cowards," Hernandez said of the suspects.
There's no indication of a motive for the brutal murder of the rapper and his child. The day before she died, R'Mani had just celebrated her fifth birthday.
Video footage from the scene showed Sibley in a bright orange tracksuit attempting to flee from his killers. The aftermath revealed at least 30 police markers at the scene indicating the spots where bullets fell on the pavement.
Sibley's aunt expressed the family's immense grief at this senseless crime. "Somebody came through shooting and killed him and the baby. A baby!" the rapper's aunt said.
"He was a rapper. He didn’t bother nobody. He didn’t target nobody. He was a family man, and he was going around rapping, okay. Why would you target him?" the aunt lamented.
This was a heinous crime that took the lives of two people and was brazenly committed in broad daylight. Police have been successful at taking at least one of his alleged killers off the street, but their job is far from over with Russell still at large.
Former Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby will be retiring from football, the UK Daily Mail reported. The 40-year-old spent 16 seasons with Green Bay, including the 2010 season Super Bowl XLV win.
Crosby was in the NFL for 17 seasons before his retirement, which he announced last month and was confirmed by the team Wednesday. He was a sixth-round draft pick in 2007 and spent 16 of those seasons with the Packers.
He is second only to the team's former quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, for most seasons played with the franchise. The former kicker earned 1,1918 points during his tenure, giving him the highest career average.
That includes 395 field goals, with 43 of them for 50 yards and a total of 733 successful extra point kicks. Crosby also has the distinction of having 15 seasons where he surpassed 100 points, a record only bested by Jason Elam, who had 16 seasons, and Adam Vinatieri, who had 21.
As ESPN.com reported, Crosby chose to speak about his move during the broadcast of his radio program, "The Mason Crosby Show," which airs on Milwaukee's 105.7 The Fan. He spoke fondly of his career, including his long tenure with Green Bay.
"I'm just so, so thankful, so grateful for the opportunity to come to Green Bay in 2007, drafted in the sixth round out of the University of Colorado, to become a Packer and to be a part of this fraternity and legacy, the history of the Green Bay Packers. It's about the fans," Crosby said.
"It's about the people. It's about my teammates," Crosby added.
"For me, I was always a 'we' guy. We're doing this. We're dominating and winning the NFC North nine times while I was a Green Bay Packer for 16 years, making the playoffs, winning the Super Bowl as a team," Crosby said.
"For me, everything I remember and everything I think about is about the team," he concluded. Crosby left the Packers in 2022 and played three games with the New York Giants in 2023 before sitting out the most recent season.
With an impressive career behind him, Crosby will likely be most remembered for his part in taking the Packers to their first Super Bowl victory in more than a decade. According to CBS News, Crosby was instrumental in clinching that win.
Now destined for the Packers Hall of Fame, Crosby spoke about the magnitude of his life's fulfillment. "My 17 seasons in the NFL surpassed all of my childhood hopes and dreams," Crosby said last month in a statement posted to X, formerly Twitter, by his manager.
Crosby later added that he "could have never written the script of what my career was going to become." Another highlight in Crosby's career came in 2016 when he kicked a 51-yard field goal to win the NFC Divisional round of playoffs against the Dallas Cowboys.

While his storied career is officially coming to a close, Crosby can be proud of his accomplishments during his time in the NFL. Few will repeat the feats he achieved, and Crosby leaves the league with big cleats to fill.
Tiffany Henyard, the embattled Democratic mayor of Dolton, Illinois, has been served with a subpoena in a case involving a development project on land previously owned by her boyfriend Kamal Woods, Fox News reported. This adds to the ongoing investigations of Henyard's activities as town supervisor and village mayor.
The subpoena was issued on Feb. 25, the same day Henyard, who called herself the "super mayor" of the village, lost the primary for her reelection bid in a landslide. Nearly 88% of the vote went to her opponent, Trustee Jason House, on the promise of rooting out corruption.
"Not only is Ms. Henyard depriving the public of what they deserve, it’s costing the village money. Day one, every record will be turned over," House promised the public on Election Day.
She and others involved in the project, including Woods, must furnish records dating back to 2014. The court requests documents, emails, text messages, phone records, and other correspondences between the local government, building owners, and tenants involved in the matter.
The accusations continue to mount up for Henyard, who has brought the heat on the village since she was elected mayor in 2021 and supervisor of Thornton Township in 2022. Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has been hired to examine how Dolton went from a $5.6 million surplus in 2022 to being $3.6 million in the hole just two years later.
Henyard infamously was accused of spending taxpayer funds for her gain, including luxury travel and other questionable expenditures the New York Post reported. Last year, she was subpoenaed for financial records for Dolton, including the town's payroll and budget records, as well as expense reports and items she charged on town credit cards.
She also was subpoenaed separately for her personal business ventures, including her political action committee, a charity, a restaurant, and a property management company. The government sought a paper trail, including personnel records, explanations for checks written to "cash," tax, and other records.
As if that weren't enough, Henyard threw herself in the middle of a fight to defend Wood in January of this year. The footage was caught on video and shared virally online.

In just a few short years, Henyard has made a mess that continues to ripple throughout the village. Dolton Village Trustee Tammie Brown warned that this is just the beginning, CBS News reported.
"With the subpoenas, we know there's going to be more to come with other businesses, other vendors," Brown said. The latest summons asks for "employment records for all code inspectors" as the feds stress that the "subpoena seeks records pursuant to an official criminal investigation," Brown noted.
"[We're still dealing] with problems that Mayor Henyard created, and that's going to be the next two or four years. We've got a long road ahead of us, a lot to work with, a lot to deal with, that Mayor Henyard created this monster," Brown said.
There are clear indications that the feds are ready to throw the book at Henyard. Later this month, a special grand jury will convene to move Henyard's case forward toward justice.
This conduct from Henyard is shocking, even from a Democratic politician. All indications point to the fact that Henyard has left a wake of destruction and possible corruption that she must answer for in a court of law.
A supposed whistleblower who warned about cuts to the U.S. Agency for International Development has donated to 23 Democratic candidates, Breitbart reported. Nick Enrich, acting assistant administrator at USAID Global Health, was placed on leave Sunday for publicly criticizing the Department of Government Efficiency and others.
President Donald Trump has entrusted Tesla billionaire Elon Musk with heading up DOGE's efforts to streamline the bloated government, which has outraged the left. Enrich slammed Trump Musk, and the State Department over those efforts in a memo Friday.
Enrich alleges that DOGE has imposed "intentional and or/unintentional obstacles" to funding what he considers crucial programs. He warned the cuts would "undermine U.S. leadership, weaken global stability, and increase long-term costs" in his memo.
"The number of deaths attributable to the loss of USAID funding and support is not known at this time," claimed Enrich. However, it's difficult to heed his warning when Enrich appears unapologetically partisan.
While Enrich is being lionized as a valiant civil servant blowing the whistle on Trump's recklessness, it's clear that he's just regurgitating the Democratic talking points. Since 2019, Enrick has made a total of $400 to ActBlue, which raises money for Democratic candidates.
He has funneled those donations to Democrats in the 2020 presidential primary, including Elizabeth Warren and then Joe Biden. Enrich also supported Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock and others in Congress.
While his donations were small, it's significant that Enrich intended them all for radical Democrats. He did this while raking in a $171,000 annual salary as a USAID Program Manager, outpacing the national average by 80.2% for those working for the government.
Despite this clear motivation, both as a Democratic donor and as the recipient of wasteful government spending, Democrats are praising Enrich for coming forward. They have glommed onto his message to smear Trump as callous and uncaring to those who receive foreign aid.
Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI) jumped at the chance to claim that withdrawing foreign aid was one of their "worst fears" and predicted "deaths" because of it. "These new details confirm our worst fears: the illegal and systematic dismantling of USAID will cause real suffering and deaths that are entirely preventable," Schatz claimed.
The fake outrage and handwringing from Enrich and the Democrats don't change the fact that DOGE's mission has already saved the American taxpayer. The Trump administration gutted USAID and subsequently saved $60 billion that was previously squandered under the guise of foreign aid.
With a blessing from Trump, Musk and his organization have rooted out waste in even the most vital government sectors, including the Department of Defense. According to Fox News, the DOD could save $80 million by cutting waste in many areas, including diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Sean Parnell, the agency's spokesperson, championed DOGE for cutting the waste after it found ridiculous studies in the name of DEI. "This stuff is just not a core function of our military," Parnell said.
"This is not what we do. This stuff is a distraction from our core mission. We believe these initial findings will probably save $80 million in wasteful spending," the spokesman added.
The left is disingenuous about the role people like Enrich play in these controversies, and it vindicates Trump's assertion that these attacks are all partisan. Enrich is someone who doesn't support Trump, but they're using his memo and subsequent dismissal to fuel their neverending narrative against the president and his administration's effort to stop the financial bleeding.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Saturday that a top leader of al-Qaeda in Syria was killed last month in a precision air strike.
Senior military leader of the terrorist organization Hurras al-Din (HaD), Muhammed Yusuf Ziya Talay was killed in northern Syria on February 23, officials said.
“As we have said in the past, we will continue to relentlessly pursue these terrorists in order to defend our homeland, and U.S., allied, and partner personnel in the region,” CENTCOM Commander Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla said in announcing Talay’s death.
Footage of the aerial attack was released on CENTCOM's social media account.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced just one day before CENTCOM's announcement that President Donald Trump had loosened some restrictions on how the U.S. military can go after terrorist leaders overseas.
Instead of only being allowed to go after senior leadership of foreign terrorist organizations as was the case under the Biden administration, the list of who the military can target with air strikes includes other leaders.
The agreement was signed in Germany last month.
Hegseth formally approved the changes during a meeting with senior U.S. military leaders from the U.S. Africa Command.
Those who favor Trump's move believe it will be more effective in combatting terrorism abroad.
Critics worry that there will be more civilian casualties with this plan because there may be a greater number of air strikes.
Hegseth pointed out that there is popular support for Trump's plan. People want to see terrorism reduced and eradicated.
The airstrike against Talay was "part of an ongoing effort to disrupt and degrade efforts by terrorists to plan, organize, and conduct attacks against civilians and military personnel from the U.S., our allies, and our partners throughout the region and beyond," CENTCOM said in its announcement.
Al-Qaeda mostly operates today in Yemen and Africa, but was most famously responsible for the 9-11 attacks against the U.S. in 2001 that brought down the World Trade Center and killed more than 3,000 people.
