Afterward, the news was also announced on his official X account through a video statement from his employer, The Salem News Channel, which was read by his colleague and guest host, Mark Davis.
“Join us in praying for Dennis's quick recovery from a back injury!” the November 14 post was captioned.
In the video, Mark Davis reiterated the information that was previously shared on the PragerU post and stated that he had already extended his best wishes for the host.
He encouraged his friends, admirers, and listeners to join him in "praying" for Dennis Prager's "quick recovery."
Davis also announced a roster of guest presenters, including Jennifer Horn, Bob Frantz, and Carl Jackson, who will be temporarily taking over the hosting duties of his designated program, which is broadcast from noon to 2 PM ET.
Dennis Prager is a renowned American conservative author, radio talk show presenter, and commentator, known to have supported conservative causes, nationwide.
He is a co-founder of PragerU, an online platform that creates brief educational videos with the objective of promoting conservative values and ideas. Since 1999, he has been a nationally syndicated radio presenter, broadcasting from Los Angeles.
Prager's syndicated program addresses a diverse array of subjects, such as politics, religion, and culture.
He has made appearances on approximately 400 stations nationwide, actively promoting conservative ideology.
The Rational Bible, Still the Best Hope, and Happiness Is a Serious Problem are only a few of his nine published books.
Along with producer Allen Estrin, Dennis started PragerU in 2011 to make five-minute films that taught students about a variety of topics, including economics and politics.
Those films have been instrumental in teaching teens and young adults about issues surrounding civics and politics in a way that has been frequently overlooked in the public education system in recent years.
Special counsel Jack Smith and his staff intend to resign prior to the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
The Justice Department's longstanding stance is that it is prohibited from charging a sitting president with a crime, as The New York Post reported. Consequently, Smith's office has been assessing the most effective approach to conclude its work on the two outstanding federal criminal cases against president Trump.
Smith's resignation was initially reported by The New York Times.
The imminent question in the weeks ahead is whether Smith's final report, which delineates his prosecution decisions, will be disclosed prior to Inauguration Day.
According to rules set down by the Justice Department, the office of the special counsel must submit a confidential report to the office of the attorney general, who has the option to make it public.
During a radio interview in late October, Trump stated that he would promptly remove Smith from his position as special counsel if he were to be re-elected.
“It’s so easy — I would fire him within two seconds,” Trump said, adding that he got “immunity at the Supreme Court."
It is also possible for the incoming attorney general to opt not to make public Smith's final report.
Smith and his colleagues had continued to advance their case against Trump for election involvement prior to his re-election last week. However, a federal judge presiding over the investigation granted the special counsel's office an extension until December 2 to determine the next steps following Trump's victory.
Last year, Trump was indicted by the Justice Department for his attempts to revoke the 2020 presidential election.
However, the Supreme Court's decision in July of this year that Trump enjoys immunity for certain activities he committed as president and the early appeals from Trump's legal team both worked to hinder Smith's case.
A federal grand jury returned a superseding indictment in the case after Smith's team reworked the indictment in August, excluding certain material that the high court had deemed off-limits.
In Florida, the DOJ had also filed charges against Trump for allegedly keeping secret records after leaving office and refusing to return them.
In July, however, the case was dismissed by a federal court that ruled that Smith's appointment was unlawful. We are still reviewing that matter.
In response to the former president's initial indictment, Smith promised a speedy trial. However, in both instances, Trump's legal team managed to postpone proceedings, and during his campaign, Trump frequently criticized Smith in public and on social media.
President-elect Donald Trump has big plans for border security when he takes office in January, and at least one expert thinks he may temporarily shut down the border while he gets his plans set into motion.
"He could probably shut down the border, declare that there’s an emergency… stop the entry of people until further notice," Alfonso Aguilar, a former chief of the U.S. Office of Citizenship and the Director of Hispanic Engagement at the American Principles Project, told Fox News Digital. "That I think in some shape or form, will be one of his first actions."
Unchecked illegal immigration is a big part of what got Trump elected, and voters are counting on him making good on his promises to get things back under control after record numbers of illegal immigrants were let into the country by the Biden administration.
Immigration became more important to voters after ICE began to bus migrants by the thousands to major cities and small towns across the country, where taxpayers paid to put them up in hotels and provide food and medical care.
Local resources in many jurisdictions were strained in dealing with the problem, and illegal immigration was also blamed for rumors that FEMA was running out of money after Hurricane Helene.
These may have been factors in why 75% of voters said border security was an important issue to them.
Trump could also implement procedures to deport large numbers of the illegal immigrants, especially if they have committed crimes.
"If you identify people who have criminal records, who have committed a crime, you have somehow find a way to expedite their removal," Aguilar said. "I would imagine that they have in place an expedited procedure to remove those individuals involved in crime."
Trump can also end the CHNV parole program that allows migrants from certain countries--Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela--to get Advance Travel Authorizations into the U.S. and be paroled into the country pending a court date, often with work authorization privileges once in the country.
"They can end that on Day 1," Aguilar said.
He also said catch-and-release policies would probably end.
Workforce raids, which have not been conducted for years, and the resumption of the Remain in Mexico policy may take longer to implement, but are likely to be on the table.
Hiring more immigration judges and resuming the building of the border wall may take legislation or action from Congress, but Trump has majorities in both houses for now.
A Minnesota man who ranted about the election of Donald Trump killed his wife, ex-partner, and two sons before taking his own life on Thursday.
Police said that 46-year-old Anthony Nephew had a “pattern of mental health issues,” according to Duluth Police Chief Mike Ceynowa.
They found Nephew’s ex-partner Erin Abramson, 47, and their son, Jacob Nephew, 15, dead in Abramson's home with gunshot wounds.
After identifying Nephew as a suspect, they then found 45-year-old wife, Kathryn Nephew, and their 7-year-old son, Oliver Nephew, shot dead inside the family home along with Nephew.
As far back as July, Nephew had been ranting online against Trump based on comments that he made but were taken out of context.
“My mental health and the world can no longer peacefully coexist, and a lot of the reason is religion," he wrote in July.
“I am terrified of religious zealots inflicting their misguided beliefs on me and my family. I have intrusive thoughts of being burned at the stake as a witch, or crucified on a burning cross.
“Having people actually believe that I or my child are Satan or, the anti-Christ or whatever their favorite color of boogie man they are afraid are this week.”
“Not that anyone cares, but as an Independent voter, I would really like to see both the political parties in our country pick better candidates,” he wrote at the time. “We can do better than a binary choice between fascism and not fascism.”
As far back as 2021, and somewhat prophetically, he wrote in an op-ed for the local Duluth news, "For millions of Americans, a breakdown leads to suicide — or homicide before suicide.”
“Mental health in this country is stigmatized, ignored, or treated as a burden for the individual to bear alone, with little help and less understanding,” he wrote.
“Americans deny they have mental health struggles. Because they have to, because they’re told to, or because they don’t realize their mind is broken," he added.
Sadly, Nephew's rants did not give any clues about what he would go on to do.
Certainly, Democrats' contentions that Trump was a "threat to democracy" and that all kinds of horrible things would happen if Trump was elected did not help anyone in a fragile mental state maintain their stability after he was elected.
ESPN host Stephen A Smith called out former First Lady Michelle Obama for contributing significantly to Kamala Harris's defeat in the presidential election.
During an episode of 'The Stephen A Smith Show' podcast, Smith pointed to tone-deaf celebrity endorsements Michelle Obama, Taylor Swift, and Oprah Winfrey as factors that contributed to Harris's failure.
Harris was endorsed by Hollywood celebrities by the dozen and that turned off many Americans struggling with economic hardship who didn't want the opinions of the elite and ultrawealthy.
Smith pointed out Michelle Obama in particular as someone who did serious damage to Harris's campaign with her 'alienation' of male voters.
During a rally in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Obama took aim at male voters, specifically black male voters, in an attempt to shame them into supporting Harris which led to many male voters going the opposite direction.
Not only did Democrats throw celebrity endorsements in the face of struggling Americans, but they also had the audacity to lecture American men on how they needed to put the interests of women above their own interests.
Smith picked out a quote from Obama where she said that a black man’s “vote for [Trump] is a vote against us." Smith immediately blasted that comment saying, “If we don’t agree with you, we’re against you?"
Smith continued saying, "How do you think the men felt about that? So we have to do what you tell us to do; otherwise, we’re anti-you? You thought that worked? Do y’all know anything about most men? You think that’s going to work?”
Smith, who typically comments on sports, has been on a tear lately doing multiple interviews weighing in on the election with his scathing takedowns of Democrats and their behavior that led to Harris's loss.
During another episode of his podcast, Smith stated, "I expected a tough, tight race. What we witnessed was an annihilation. This was supposed to last, this debate about the election and how many votes, it was supposed to last probably until Thursday, Friday, maybe even into the weekend. Ladies and gentlemen, Fox News called it at 2am."
What was supposed to be a tight race was anything but and Trump achieved a massive political comeback to become just the 2nd president to serve non-consecutive terms, the other being Grover Cleveland.
Harris's loss and the GOP's dominating win has ignited calls among Democrats for soul-searching and change in order to determine what went so horribly wrong. Democrats like Smith are rightly pointing out that shaming voters isn't a sound strategy for winning elections.
However, Smith is very much in the minority as many leftists have determined that they didn't shame male voters enough and that they must become even more radical in order to win.
Leftists have further embraced misandry and even racism in response to nearly half of Latino men voting for Trump.
Unless something changes, the Democrat Party will lose its hold on key minority voter blocks which could make it difficult for Democrats to win any national election.
Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated President-elect Donald Trump on his victory and confirmed Russia is ready to hold peace talks to end the Ukraine war.
Putin made those comments congratulating Trump during a policy forum in Sochi, Russia, on Thursday. After a long speech, Putin said that he would like to "take this opportunity to congratulate [Trump] on his election as president of the United States."
He went on to say Russia is ready for talks but stated, "Russia didn't ruin relations with the U.S. and is open to reviving them, but the ball is in the Americans' court."
Putin's comments are a direct shot at President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris who oversaw the beginning of the war in Ukraine. It was Harris who dared Russia to attack Ukraine just days before Russian troops invaded.
Under the Biden-Harris regime, there has been little hope of peace. However, with Trump set to begin his 2nd term in January, there is hope that a peace can be negotiated.
Trump has promised the American people that he will work tirelessly to end the devastating war in Ukraine which has senselessly cost the lives of thousands of soldiers as well as costing Americans billions in foreign aid.
The war should never have happened but thanks to establishment Republicans and Democrats with much to gain financially from the war, little was done to prevent the outbreak of hostilities.
Under Biden and Harris, Americans ate the cost of billions in aid to be sent to Ukraine while young men on both sides were senselessly butchered and there was little to no urgency to end the conflict.
Trump has been a strong critic of the billions of dollars being sent to Ukraine as he believed Washington D.C. was doing nothing to stop the war while pilfering taxpayers to enrich themselves via the military-industrial complex.
Trump has promised to end the war in Ukraine quickly and that could come at Ukraine's expense. Trump will likely call on Ukraine to make concessions which he believes are necessary to end the further loss of life and money.
The war in Ukraine has been horrific beyond compare and has given the world a glimpse into what peer-to-peer conflict would look like. The loss of life and the conditions that both Russian and Ukrainian soldiers are facing make it imperative that peace is established as soon as possible.
Trump is going to work with both Russia and Ukraine and make it a top priority to end the war but this won't be easy. Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelenskyy has been insistent that Ukraine will make no concessions despite only being able to wage this war with Western support.
Without aid from Europe and the United States, Ukraine would likely have fallen before Russia's grinding war machine.
So Trump is going to have to find a way to force Ukraine to see reason and make concessions that will lead to peace. Trump has a good working relationship with Putin so there is a chance that he can also get concessions out of Russia.
However, all of this will have to wait until Trump is officially sworn in as President in January. Until then, the carnage will continue in Ukraine and taxpayer dollars will continue to fund a brutal war.
A new report from the Rio Grande Valley Sector Intelligence Unit (SIU) of the Border Patrol said that Venezuela is sending released prisoners and intelligence officers into the U.S. interior to eliminate human targets, according to an official who leaked the report to Breitbart News.
The report said that released inmates from Venezuelan prisons are being accompanied across the border into the U.S. by Venezuelan intelligence officers to track down former Venezuelan military members, politicians, and law enforcement officials who are now in the U.S. and kill them to prevent them from sharing classified information they may have.
The leak came from a source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), but that source was not authorized to speak to the media.
The source of the report was interviews done with criminal suspects and persons of interest.
It's a preliminary report that has not been fully verified, the source said.
“This is not the first report we have developed related to Venezuelan prison releases from sources we have interviewed,” the source explained. “This is alarming, considering we have a new administration entering office in January.”
The source further explained that the Venezuelan government fears that the 600,000 Venezuelans who crossed the border into the U.S. under the Biden administration will face new deportation proceedings and that some will offer to share information damaging to the government to avoid being deported or imprisoned in the U.S.
“The report’s timing raises more questions as the Maduro regime may fear some Venezuelans may trade information to avoid removal,” the source emphasized. “It certainly merits more investigation."
President-elect Donald Trump has referenced Venezuela releasing prison inmates in some of his campaign speeches.
Breitbart Texas broke the story of Venezuela's possible actions to release prisoners in 2022 based on another source that leaked a previous Border Patrol report.
The previous actions of releasing prisoners, if such actions did occur, were not related to any intelligence or counter-intelligence operations in Venezuela.
Still another report, this one from the U.N. in 2022, said that Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (SEBIN), Venezuela’s equivalent to the CIA, previously committed crimes against its own people to quell dissent.
“Our investigations and analysis show that the Venezuelan State relies on the intelligence services and its agents to repress dissent in the country. In doing so, grave crimes and human rights violations are being committed, including acts of torture and sexual violence," Marta Valiñas, Chair of the United Nations Fact Finding Commission said at the time.
"These practices must stop immediately, and the individuals responsible must be investigated and prosecuted in accordance with the law,” she added.
The recall that was directed toward the chief prosecutor in Alameda County was successful on Tuesday night, which has the potential to deal a blow to the principles of progressivism in the criminal justice system across one of the bluest areas in the state of California.
District Attorney Pamela Price became the first elected district attorney in the history of Alameda County to be recalled from office, according to the unofficial final results that were provided by the county early on Wednesday morning, as Breitbart News reported.
Even left-leaning locals disapproved of Price, a prosecutor supported by George Soros, for implementing "criminal justice reform" policies.
Even though city and county election officials are still counting ballots cast on Election Day, voters have expressed their support for removing her from office less than two years into her first six-year term. However, it may take several days for the final results to be certified because of the continuation of the counting process.
Price's self-proclaimed "exclamation point in history" as the first Black woman elected to the post ended in a historic whimper with the election of the next president.
Alameda County Board of Supervisors, which consists of five members, will be saddled with the responsibility of picking a replacement to serve until the next general election, which will take place in 2026.
As a result of Oakland's adoption of policies that "defund the police," the city's crime rate increased to the point where Price's own laptop was taken from her vehicle.
Also, Price was accused of engaging in nepotism after she hired her boyfriend despite reservations regarding his previous employment history.
On Tuesday, her counterpart in Los Angeles County, George Gascón, was defeated in his bid for reelection by significant proportions.
In June of 2022, voters in San Francisco also recalled the radical District Attorney Chesa Boudin, which was the first indication of a backlash in the state.
Prop 36, which overturned many of the most problematic "reforms" of Proposition 47 of 2014, which is generally criticized for increasing crime, particularly retail theft and looting, was approved by voters across the state of California with an overwhelming majority.
According to a report that was released prior to the election, there are seventy-five radical left-wing prosecutors who are connected to a rich Democrat mega-donor.
Over the past few years, Soros has been spending an enormous amount of money to elect individuals who advocate for "criminal justice reform" around the country.
This is the first report of its kind to place such a significant amount of emphasis on Soros's role, and it was compiled by the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund (LELDF).
When the role that Soros played in these elections was first reported during the election cycle of 2018, the Los Angeles Times identified 21 races in which he was involved. The newspaper also suggested that he might have been involved in a much larger number of races that were difficult to identify due to laws that protect the identities of donors to nonprofit organizations that are permitted to engage in limited political activity.
Tragedy struck the musical community and a rising star was cut down, just days ago, ending a life, a budding career, and the hopes of her fans.
According to The New York Post, Thalia Castillo was shot and killed while on her tour bus. Her body was then tossed into a ditch.
Six armed assailants attacked the van of Alezka Thalia Manrique, better known as Thalia Castillo, immediately after she and her band, Hermanos Guerreros, had finished performing early Sunday morning.
As a message to the rest of the band, the assailants removed Manrique off the bus and dumped her body in a nearby ditch after the attack.
The band's instruments and the money they had made from the concert were looted from the bus after the attack.
Despite the band members' best efforts, Manrique passed away while being rushed to the hospital.
Jair Enrique, Manrique's brother, later explained on RPP radio that the police have already identified the perpetrators and are currently awaiting an arrest warrant in order to bring them to justice. Authorities are still trying to figure out what motivated the attack.
Just two months after joining Hermanos Guerreros, Manrique was already a brilliant student who was on track to earn his bachelor's degree in business administration later this month. He was also a gifted singer.
A heartfelt post commenting saw, Vallejo sharing: “Thalia was a person full of joy, always with a smile. Her talent and dedication to music made her special.”
In another tribute, Hermanos Guerreros issued a statement: “Your face, your smile, and your voice will always remain in our memory.”
Fans who remembered the singer noted their impressions of the singer, as well as how her music made them feel, and what they hoped to take away from her enduring career in the music industry.
The comments about the later singer have flooded Facebook posts by the band, and one of the later singer's fans said: "My deepest condolences to the family of the beautiful singer Talia."
A second person said: "My heartfelt condolences to the Castillo family and the Hnos Guerrero group."
A third person added: "My deepest condolences to the Manrique Castillo family for the irreparable loss of Thalia and the Guerreros."
Kimberly Van Der Beek posted a supportive message for her husband, actor James Van Der Beek, after he revealed Sunday that he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and was undergoing treatment for the condition.
“I love you baby," Kimberly posted with a heart after "baby" in a show of support for her famous husband.
Van Der Beek said in the post that he hadn't planned to reveal the diagnosis publicly, but that media outlets got wind of the news and threatened to go public with it against his objections.
He apologized for not telling everyone in person because of the media threats to take the news public.
“Apologies to all the people in my life who I’d planned on telling myself. Nothing about this process has occurred on my preferred timeline,” Van Der Beek said. “But we roll with it, taking each surprise as a signpost, pointing us toward a greater destiny than we would have discovered without divine intervention.”
He concluded, “Please know that my family and I deeply appreciate all the love and support.”
Colorectal cancer occurs when growths in the colon's lining become malignant, the Cleveland Clinic said. While Van Der Beek said in his post that 2 billion people worldwide are diagnosed with the cancer each year, the actual number is more like 1.9 million.
The Van Der Beeks have been married since 2010 and have six children ages 14 to 3.
James is not the only one in his family who has suffered a major health issue.
Kimberly suffered miscarriages in 2019 and 2020 before their youngest child, Jeremiah, was born.
She said in 2019 that she "almost lost her life" while miscarrying their son late in the pregnancy.
Just days before James announced his cancer diagnosis, Kimberly posted a throwback photo of the couple on Instagram, captioned, “We were babies. So much life lived since then. Grateful for it all.”
James is best known for playing Dawson Leery on the popular teen show "Dawson's Creek" from 1998 to 2003.
The couple moved their family to Texas from California in 2020.
