A couple of state officials in New York are being sued for the formal discrimination – based on sex and race – that they use in a business licensing program.

Such discrimination, of course, is banned by the U.S. Constitution's 14th Amendment.

It is the Pacific Legal Foundation that is representing a New York business operated by William Purcell and his brother, Emmet.

The PLF explains the state's "discriminatory" operation "favors some (cannabis business license) applicants more highly than others based on the race and sex of the owners."

The result is that the brothers' Valencia Ag is being prevented from being considered for a license "on equal terms."

The brothers filed all the applications and made all the arrangements for a business, but the state's "application review process prioritizes applications from women and minorities, leaving the Purcell brothers as non-preferred applicants while their expenses accumulate," the PLF said.

"The government cannot give preference to anyone based on immutable characteristics like race or sex. Doing so is unfair and unconstitutional," said David Hoffa, an attorney at Pacific Legal Foundation. "The only criteria that should matter is whether an applicant can demonstrate that they will run a safe and legal business. Everyone deserves the right to try to earn a living regardless of their race or sex."

The report explains the brothers "met all of the eligibility requirements related to finances, residency, and the like. But they soon learned the process is rigged when their application was placed at a disadvantage simply because of their race and sex."

Lawmakers in the state adopted a formal plan of discrimination that requires half of the business licenses to go to "so-called social and economic equity applicants. These applicants also pay half as much as their non-priority counterparts in applications and annual renewal fees."

Special privileges are given to minority and women business owners.

Since the brothers don't qualify for those privileges, "They are concerned they won’t even get an application review, let alone have a license granted, simply because of their race and sex. As of now, they are sitting at the back of the current line for review and will almost certainly need to reapply in the future, where their race and gender can be used against their application in multiple ways."

The PLF explained that while the government is supposed to treat every citizen equally, regardless of race and sex, New York’s cannabis licensing scheme "does the exact opposite."

The complaint seeks a ruling that the discrimination plan violates the 14th Amendment as well as an injunction against its application.

This could be a case for Joe Biden's attacks on "misinformation" or "disinformation" or "malinformation" or something.

Or it could just be a case of a politician trying so hard to pursue his agenda that the facts don't matter.

Case in point is the claim from Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison that Glock is failing to protect the public and might even have "broken to law" by knowing "for decades" of a modification to its handguns that would make them fire 1,200 rounds a minute.

That would mean the handguns would be firing a shot every 1/20th of a second.

That is the same official, according to a sarcastic report at Twitchy, who recently blamed a spate of auto thefts on auto manufacturers.

The report advised that Democrats who are going to attack the Second Amendment to first learn about guns.

"We've just about had it. We recently heard Supreme Court oral arguments on this subject. And we had actual, sitting Supreme Court justices -- plural -- believing that bump stocks could make guns fire 800 rounds per second. Yes, per second," the report warned.

The report cited excerpts from Ellison's letter, in which he was joined by other state officials.

We have followed the mounting reports about devastation and public terror caused by Glock handguns that became illegal machine guns when fitted with cheap, ubiquitous inserts known as 'switches' or 'auto-sears.'

These unfolding horror stories exemplify the extraordinary danger of automatic weapons on our streets, and demonstrate why they are so strictly prohibited.

In light of these grievous public safety issues, we were disturbed to read the City of Chicago’s recently filed allegations that you have known for decades that easy adaption into a machine gun is a natural feature of your handgun design.

The report explained an auto-switch is a device that exists but it's already illegal everywhere in the U.S. But even if a criminal installs it, a handgun likely could not achieve a firing rate of 1,200 rounds per minute.

Every election there are a few celebrities who try to interfere in the vote by threatening to their fans they will move out of the United States if a candidate, usually a Republican, wins.

They never follow through, despite social media volunteers who would help them pack.

But now that attitude has spread, and new polling shows that one in five Democrats would be "anxious" about their "qualify of life" if President Donald Trump wins in November and "would consider moving away."

The polling results were delivered early to Washington Secrets writer Paul Bedard.

He said this year Republicans, too, are ready to take action.

Citing the results from Greenback Expat Tax Services, he said some 85% of respondents told the accounting firm they feel "negatively" about the current political climate.

Republicans, too.

"Republicans are less reactive, but still, 1 in 12 would consider emigrating if President Joe Biden wins a second term, according to the analysis," Bedard reported.

He pointed out, "ironically," considering Biden's "blundering" on American border policies, "Mexico would be one of the first places Americans would flee to just like they did after the 2022 elections. Canada is No. 1."

In fact, Biden's decision to destroy the border security measures adopted by President Donald Trump has left millions of illegal aliens invading America across the open southern border.

It's meant billions of dollars of tax money being diverted to feed and house them, and even cities and states that previously considered themselves "sanctuaries" for illegals have been complaining about their burden.

"And in a sign that they mean it, the survey analysis found many would also throw away their U.S. citizenship. 'Over one in five Americans considering emigration due to the political climate would make a permanent move and be willing to revoke their U.S. citizenship,' the analysis said," the report explained.

The report notes that Americans emigrating to Mexico totaled 10,705 in 2020, but 19,620 in 2022. The three-year total was 46,347.

Also, Americans moving to the U.K., totaled 9,404 in 2020 but 21,936 in 2022. For Canada, the figures were 6,380 in 2020 and 10,415 in 2022.

Other destinations have included Spain, 27,849 over the three years, France, 26,821, Australia, 22,460, Italy, 17,434, Germany, 16,405, South Korea, 14,904, and Japan, 13,960.

For the three years, 45,955 Americans were moving to the U.K. and, 28,750 to Canada.

The report noted a party division of faith in democracy, with Democrats "far more eager to quit America if former President Donald Trump wins."

This story was originally published by the WND News Center.

Joe Biden's record on border security isn't that good – as he essentially ordered it wide open and invited millions of illegal aliens to invade. Now taxpayers already have paid billions and American cities still are struggling to meet the demands for financial help.

His economy has left Americans facing inflation of more than 18% since he took office, and struggling to pay their grocery bills.

His presentation of America to the world has left the door open for multiple wars to erupt.

So for his campaign this year, something else had to be used, and a report from the National Pulse explains that has been "fearmongering" concerning "threats about an alleged danger former President Trump and his supporters pose to 'democracy.'"

Actually critics have said Democrats are the ones deconstructing democracy because they want to banish Trump, and others, from the 2024 ballot, so voters would not, in fact, be able to choose their leader.

As part of that fearmongering, Jill Biden, in a campaign stop, has compared the conservative desire to rid public schools of gay porn, and have the schools focus on educational basics like reading, history, writing, and math to Naziism.

She was speaking at an event for the Human Rights Campaign when she delivered her rant.

"Rights are being stripped away. Freedoms are eroding. More and more state laws are being passed…Just last night, we had to fend off more than 50 anti-gay amendments that Republicans tried to force into the government funding bill… they served only one purpose: to spread hate and fear," she claimed.

"History teaches us that democracies don’t disappear overnight. They disappear slowly. Subtly. Silently. A book ban. A court decision. A 'don’t say gay' law," she continued, citing Florida's new law establishing parental rights in education that does not, in fact, even say "don't say gay."

She added, "Before World War II, I’m told, Berlin was the center of LGBTQ culture in Europe. One group of people loses their rights. And then another, and another. Until one morning you wake up — and you no longer live in a democracy."

The report said her comments "Appear to be part of the Biden camp’s wider 'full Hitler' strategy. With the Biden government’s mishandling of the border crisis and the failure of Bidenomics, the Biden campaign and the Democrats have little to run on beyond fearmongering ... ."

For months, even years, leading Democrats across America have demanded that voters "save democracy" by voting for Democrats.

They charge others, and especially President Donald Trump, are a threat because they disagree with some points of Joe Biden's agenda, such as his enthusiastic promotion of transgenderism and abortion.

But now they're even going after liberals if that person could somehow be in opposition to Biden, and that has constitutional expert Jonathan Turley accusing the Democrats of now actually 'limiting democratic choice."

The renowned law professor at George Washington University Law School online discussed the move by the Democratic National Committee to block third-party candidates.

"The contradiction is stunning as these groups raise money to 'save democracy' by limiting democratic choice," he explained.

"The last time that the Chicago Democratic Convention was held in Chicago in 1968, the resulting riots led to one of the greatest Freudian slips in American politics. Mayor Richard Daley declared 'the policeman isn’t there to create disorder; the policeman is there to preserve disorder,'" he noted.

"The Democratic National Committee has now added its own gem: the Democratic Party is not here to preserve democracy, it is here to prevent democracy."

DNC targets now appear to be Robert Kennedy Jr., Cornell West, and Jill Stein, all "liberal and considered a threat to Joe Biden."

Apparently the Democrats not only will use a public campaign against the alternative candidates, but "legal action" too.

"To solve the problem by denying voters a choice."

Turley noted, "The media does not appear at all alarmed or critical of the effort to limit democratic choice. The Washington Post stated clinically 'Democrats are taking third-party threats seriously this time.' Taking it seriously appears to mean using legal means to keep them from the ballots."

He said it's striking that such a message is coming from the DNC, which is "raising money on the 'save democracy' narrative."

He said, "The contradiction is spellbinding. On the same sites promising to oppose the third party candidates, the DNC and other groups push the narrative that only the Democrats are working to protect the right to vote."

Turley himself explained that years ago he decided he would no longer vote for "the lesser of two evils" and would cast his vote for the best in the race, even if that was a third-party candidate.

While the DNC, and its supporting cast, work "to limit the choice of voters," "the effort continues in Florida, Georgia, Washington, and New York to keep Trump in court until the election, including a possible trial running up to or even through the election."

So Democrats winning now actually calls on denying voters "any other choice," he said.

"It appears that the last thing that democracy needs is free democratic choice."

Advocates for reparations for blacks, those individuals and groups who want members of modern society who never owned slaves to pay huge sums to members of today's black community who never were slaves, now are demanding $15 billion from "white" churches.

A report from WHDH explains the so-called Boston People's Reparations Commission issued a weekend statement demanding Boston's "white" and "establishment" churches "confess to their complicity" and "transfer portions of their enormous wealth to a mostly impoverished and underserved black community."

"Many of the well-known white churches in downtown Boston are connected to the slave trade and the proliferation of what was a ‘slavetocracy’ in our city," claimed Kevin Peterson, founder of the activist organization.

He earlier prompted the city to apologize for "complicity" in slavery, and that statement later triggered the creation of the task force.

"Beginning in the 17th century, all of our colonial churches were founded on the profits of slavery. Colonial ministers were among the most likely to have enslaved servants," said John Gibbons of the Arlington Street Church in Boston.

"Black people, the descendants of slavery, have been washing the feet of our oppressors for well over 400 years," said Danielle Williams, director of a social justice group called Prophetic Resistance Boston.

"Now it's time for you to wash our feet. The descendants of slavery, we want our reparations. We want it now."

The race-based reparations ideology has been spreading across the nation in recent years, with demands from black organizations and leaders that whites, who never participated in the slave trade, pay them.

Leftists in Congress have suggested legislation giving housing to those whose ancestors may or may not have been slaves, there have been plans that would give members of the black community special privileges in state licensing programs, state legislative "black caucus" members have strategized to cash in and claims have been announced for some $14 trillion in those payments.

Of course, there have been a few bumps in the plan, including when the Gateway Pundit reported when Sunny Hostin, a "far-left progressive political commentator," was identified as the descendant of slave owners.

"The episode left the 55-year-old far-left host grappling with a complex personal revelation," the report said.

"Hostin, whose mother is Puerto Rican and father is African American, has long identified with her Puerto Rican heritage and the civil rights movement. However, the PBS series hosted by Henry Louis Gates Jr. uncovered that Hostin’s maternal ancestors were far from the freedom fighters she had imagined; they were slave owners in Spain."

According to Daily Mail, Hostin’s third great-grandfather, Fermín, a son of a Spanish merchant who was likely involved in the slave trade, was revealed to have owned slaves. Hostin also found out that she is only 7% indigenous Puerto Rican.

“Wow, I’m a little bit in shock. I just always thought of myself as half Puerto Rican. I didn’t think my family was originally from Spain and slaveholders,” she said.

Another report identified Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York as the lawmaker claiming that a proposed "Green New Deal” aimed at public housing was a form of “reparations.”

Bowman made the remarks during an event at which Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont promoted the “Green New Deal for Public Housing Act.” Bowman, a member of “The Squad,” said that “historically marginalized communities” would receive “reparations” through the “Green New Deal” program for public housing and a similar program for public schools.

He said, "I also want to plug, we must also pass the Green New Deal for public schools, because the Green New Deal for public schools working in conjunction with the Green New Deal for public housing, is a form of reparations for our historically marginalized communities."

Chuck Todd, the former host of NBC's "Meet the Press," erupted on his bosses over the network's hiring of former RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel moments after she made her debut Sunday morning.

He told the show's new host, Kristin Welker, that NBC should apologize for having Welker interview McDaniel, who resigned her position on March 8 when it became clear former President Donald Trump would clinch the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

"Let me deal with the elephant in the room," Todd said. "I think our bosses owe you an apology for putting you in this situation because I don't know what to believe."

"She is now a paid contributor by NBC News," he told Welker. "I have no idea whether any answer she gave to you was because she didn't want to mess up her contract."

"She wants us to believe that she was speaking for the RNC when the RNC was paying for it. So, she has credibility issues that she still has to deal with. Is she speaking for herself or is she speaking on behalf of who's paying her? Once at the RNC, she did say that. 'Hey, I'm speaking for the party.' I get that, that's part of the job. So, what about here?" he asked.

"Look, there's a reason why there are a lot of journalists at NBC News uncomfortable with this," Todd said. "Because many of our professional dealings with the RNC over the last six years have been met with gaslighting and have been met with character assassination."

"When NBC decided to give her NBC News' credibility, you got to ask yourself, what does she bring NBC News? And when we make deals like this, and I've been at this company a long time, you're doing it for access. Access to audience. Sometimes it's access to an individual. And we can have a journalistic ethics debate about that. And I'm willing to have that debate," Todd added.

Glenn Greenwald, a journalist who co-founded the Intercept, noted such "melodrama" is absent when Democrat "operatives" are hired by networks.

"NBC negotiated a contract with Jen Psaki while she was White House Press Secretary," Greenwald posted on X.

"ABC hired George Stephanopoulos -- directly from the Clinton WH, with no journalism experience. All these networks hire operatives from the US Security State. It never prompts this melodrama."

One creative commenter on X, apparently not thrilled with McDaniel, superimposed a distasteful image over the Republican's face, and played a clip of her saying, "Now I get to be a little bit more myself."

The federal government's attacks on Christians gained prominence under Barack Obama when he insisted that faith-based organizations pay for abortions for employees as part of their health insurance.

No exemptions, he demanded. And those conscience protections for hospitals or doctors who objected to the wanton destruction of unborn babies had to go, he insisted.

Joe Biden, when he took office, took up where Obama left off, changing rules so that emergency room physicians supposedly would be required to perform abortions on demand. And he added his favorite agenda: transgenderism. Suddenly Christian schools were told to let boys in the girls' showers.

Then more rule changes happened so that more and more Christian groups and organizations were told they must participate in, fund, or advance Biden's leftist agenda. Many were biblically offensive.

Now a commentary from the James Dobson Family Institute is warning of more evidence of a Biden-instigated war on Christians is growing.

The report, written by Gary Bauer, senior vice president of public policy at the JFDI, said, "Are Evangelical Christians a 'threat' to America? JDFI is outraged to learn that according to material coming out of the Biden administration, we are."

He wrote, "A recent diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) toolkit on religious tolerance produced by the Biden administration recommended to users a resource guide. Among the resources listed in it is a website with articles that not only called evangelicals a threat but also said our influence must be 'rooted out.'"

The report explains it is Biden's online posting called, "Allied Against Hate: A Toolkit for Faith Communities."

"One part of the toolkit has resources to battle 'Islamophobia,' and offers suggestions on how to spot misleading information on religious groups. Users are referred to a website called, 'Muslim Girl,' which is described as a source for credible voices of Muslim Americans challenging anti-Muslim bigotry," the report said.

But, Bauer explained, a review of the site by Fox News Digital found it was filled with writings that attacked pro-Israel evangelicals, even defending the October 7 attack in which Hamas terrorists butchered some 1,200 Israeli civilians, including women and children. The attack included horrific atrocities, such as burning whole families alive.

One website piece, the report explained, "actually claimed that 'Christian Zionist Evangelicals' were the greater threat to Jews than Palestinians."

He noted Biden claims "no responsibility" for the content of the external site.

But it's not that simple.

"JDFI isn’t buying the disclaimer. In the name of religious tolerance, the executive branch of the U.S. government is sending Americans to a site that attacks pro-Israel Christians, and Evangelicals, and makes excuses for terrorism," he said. "This is unacceptable and further evidence that our government is targeting Christians."

A social media influencer from Venezuela has posted online a video telling illegal aliens how they can "invade" a home in the United States, if it's "unoccupied" at the time, and claim "squatters' rights' to then live in it.

Apparently without limits.

The report comes on the heels of a report in WND that documented how "a bunch of squatters" invaded a home in New York.

Then when owner Adele Andaloro, 47, tried to remove them, she was cuffed for changing the locks on the $1 million home in Flushing, Queens, that she says she inherited from her parents when they died.

Under the laws of the liberal state, it is against the law for a homeowner to change locks, turn off utilities, or remove the belongings of someone claiming to be a "tenant."

The rant about "invading" a home comes from Leonel Moreno, a Venezuelan national who appears to live in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, according to the New York Post.

In his video, he charges that under U.S. law, "If a house is not inhabited, we can seize it."

The report said, "He appeared to be referring to adverse possession laws, commonly known as squatter’s rights, which allow unlawful property occupants rights over the property they occupy without the owner’s consent, in certain circumstances." There also generally are required periods, in some states extending to years for the required occupancy.

Millions of viewers had watched his screaming rant about taking over others' property, and he claimed his "African friends" already have "taken about seven homes."

He said invading and taking homes is the answer to the alternative, becoming a burden on the public by living on the streets.

TikTok watchers, however, showed little tolerance for his agenda.

"Needs to be charged with whatever crime," one said. And another wrote, "Pretty sure this is illegal and I feel like he’s encouraging others to engage in illegal activities."

The various squatters rights laws that do exist often cause problems for homeowners who have acquired properties, perhaps through inheritance, that are left vacant for a time.

They often have to go through "eviction" procedures to remove those using their private property.

The report said, "'Migrant Influencer' Moreno has previously shared videos bragging about earning money by begging on the streets while collecting government handouts. He also made headlines last month by urging his compatriots to throw their support behind 15-year-old Jesus Alejandro Rivas-Figueroa, who was charged as an adult with attempted murder for allegedly shooting a tourist in Times Square and firing on cops."

That Joe Biden is declining mentally has been obvious, through his stumbles, stutters, blunders, and mistakes, for several years already.

The government recently confirmed it, when special counsel Robert Hur found evidence Biden "willfully" kept classified government documents from his years as senator and vice president in his home, and recommended against charging him because of his "diminished" capabilities.

He opined that a jury would see him as a senior citizen with a failing memory and might not convict him on charges that required a showing of intent.

Now the Washington Post has published a piece containing thousands of words suggesting President Donald Trump soon could be suffering from dementia, too.

At Off the Press was the headline, "Washington Post raises Trump dementia in the story about his father."

It focuses largely on the dementia diagnosis of Trump's father, Fred Trump Sr., during his late 80s and for several years before he died at age 93. Donald Trump now is 77.

The report explained Trump is among those who have suggested Biden, now 81, already is "cognitively impaired."

Meanwhile, Trump has confirmed "acing" the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a basic test that flags signs of early dementia, even though he did not release details.

Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, the former White House physician, reported just last month he had administered the test to Trump in 2018, and Trump just months ago released a physician's statement that he was in excellent health and his "cognitive exams were exceptional."

The Post cites multiple people commenting about the situation involving Trump's father, who was diagnosed in his late '80s.

In a 1997 interview with a magazine, Donald Trump confirmed, "Turning 50 does make you think about mortality, or immortality, or whatever. … It does hit you."

The Post claimed, "Trump’s long fixation on mental fitness followed years of watching his father’s worsening dementia — a formative period that some associates said has been a defining and little-mentioned factor in his life, and which left him with an abiding concern that he might someday inherit the condition."

A former senior executive at the Trump Organization, not identified, said in the report, "Donald is no doubt fearful of Alzheimer’s."

The report admits Biden's inability to remember the names of the leaders of other nations and says Trump was "confusing" candidate Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi.

But Trump's campaign has promised he "would take another cognitive test if Biden does the same," the report said.

"President Trump believes all presidents should take the test," the campaign said.

The Post continued, "The issue has also come to the fore after Robert K. Hur, the special counsel who investigated Biden’s handling of classified material, said the president is an 'elderly man with a poor memory' — a claim strongly disputed by the White House."

The White House tried to have that report changed before its release.

Biden spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden's physicians claimed he "doesn’t need a cognitive test."

The report also details a Trump family dispute that developed over the family estate, and Donald Trump's financial ups and downs, alleging, "That's when Trump sought to change his father's will."

The family fight over the estate was filed in court but settled under a nondisclosure agreement.

Just last month, on social media, Trump wrote about cognitive tests, 'I took two of them and ACED them both (no mistakes!). All presidents, or people wanting to become president, should mandatorily take this test!"
