The "Liberal Democrat" political party in the United Kingdom is demanding that a Christian politician, in defense of his beliefs, must prove in court the divinity of Jesus Christ.
The stunning requirement came as part of a scorchingly hot fight over faith after the party banned a Christian candidate from its slate of candidates, because of his beliefs.
According to the UK Independent, a lawyer for Christian candidate David Campanale explained that the Christian beliefs are protected under section 10 of the Equalities Act, including the statement, "Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life," out of the gospel of John.
"But in response the Lib Dem legal defense said that Mr. Campanale should legally prove the statement of faith to be true in court," the report explained.
"[The statement] is outside the defendant's knowledge and neither admitted nor denied; the claimant is required to prove the same."
In the United States, Democrat vice presidential candidate Tim Walz already effectively has banished Christians from the ranks of public school teachers. He escorted into law a requirement that technically allows Christians to be teachers, but requires them, in those ranks, but publicly deny basic beliefs of the Bible.
The Independent reported the court fight brought by Campanale against the party after he was thrown out has the "Liberal Democrats" appearing "to demand that a sacked candidate must prove the divinity of Jesus Christ in court."
Campanale was rejected by the party as a candidate for Sutton and Cheam.
The report noted, "Former Archbishop of Canterbury Dr. Rowan Williams condemned the Lib Dems over the Campanale case and claimed that it is now 'impossible' for orthodox Christians, Muslims or Jews to stand for the party."
The fight is over whether a Lib Dem candidate can "hold socially conservative views on issues like abortion, trans rights, and same sex marriage."
Campanale told the publication, "God needs no defense. He is after all the judge. It's whether the Liberal Democrats continue to be seen as out of touch in the dock of public opinion with the liberalism and tolerance of the British people.
"A lot of people back my Christian conviction that our nation's liberties were built upon biblical foundations and the great story of Christian struggle through the generations for the abolition of slavery, the rights of children not to be sent up chimneys and the existence of trade unionism. If the party rediscovered and celebrated that story and not ridicule it, voters would pay the Lib Dems greater attention."
The party itself has conceded it has turned anti-Christian.
"It is admitted that Mr. Taylor said words to the effect that the party of past prominent Liberal Democrat with Christian beliefs, such as Shirley Williams and Charles Kennedy, 'was over.' That was a statement of fact reflecting the current policy platforms and public political stance of the Liberal Democrats as shaped democratically by the decisions of its membership."
The Christian Institute noted the messaging was clear: "The Liberal Democrats have indicated that those who uphold Christian values cannot be party candidates."
Since he was thrown out because of his religious beliefs against abortion, gay marriage and sex change ideologies, he is suing for religious discrimination.

Law enforcement authorities have confirmed they now are investigating an incident at a rally held by President Donald Trump in Arizona recently in which several dozen people reported seeking medical help, for eye injuries and swollen faces.
They all were seated onstage in one section immediately behind Trump.
The Trump campaign also said it is collecting information from affected individuals, and while the cause of the symptoms hasn't been confirmed, it has sparked concern.
Various suggestions, including one from an ophthalmologist, suggest it could have been caused by dust and dry, hot wind as the people were waiting to enter.
But given the two recent assassination attempts against Trump, and the ongoing deluge of verbiage from Democrats, who long have labeled him a "Hitler," that Trump is actually a "threat" to democracy, it's not surprising that some of the suggestions are that there was an attack.
Only a day ago, Arizona Globe journalist Christy Kelly reported the troubling development. Kelly noted that "as many as 20 people" were affected by symptoms of swollen tissues, temporary blindness, and more. All of whom were seated on the left side of the stage.
"Many supporters seated behind Trump onstage went to the ER after the rally with "blurred vision" and "burning" to the eyes. I spoke to several who still have not fully recovered. As many as 20 were affected," Kelly wrote on X.
Now a report from JDRucker on Substack, who documented the incident and the concerns, explained that one possible explanation was an infrared attack.
He said he was informed by a reader: "My first take on the eye injuries at the latest Trump Rally is likelyhood (sic) of an infrared (non-seeable) laser was aimed at Trump but injuring those behind him. These injuries were common during the Gulf War (1992) when infrared targeting lasers swept the desert battlefield day and night. One cannot tell immediately when exposed but later when the eye inflammation starts. The laser-eye injury threat was largely why desert soldiers wore protective eyewear day and night. At night the iris is more open and allows more eye damage."
While Rucker called this "tinfoil hat time," he noted he then researched "multiple sources" and found "it all jibed."
"IF someone was positioned in front of and to the right of Trump and IF they had some sort of device that emitted infrared lasers, it's possible that the people behind Trump would have been hit. The results would have been exactly what we're seeing reported … though not nearly reported enough since very few outside of The Gateway Pundit and a handful of others are touching the story."
The first reporting on the injuries said some people sought help at an emergency room, room had been referred to an ophthalmologist for further care.
In an interview with News 4 Tucson, one affected Tramp fan described her visit to the emergency room, where medical staff asked if she had been sprayed with something, based on her unusual symptoms.
"The emergency room staff, from the triage nurse to the PA [Physicians Assistant] asked are you sure you didn't get sprayed with something your symptoms look like you got sprayed with something," she said. "I can't see anything when I try to open my eyes. I see a bright light. It hurts, it hurts a lot to open my eyes. I have this cold cloth I put on and take off constantly. It's horrible."

JERUSALEM – Iranian security officials recruited an Israeli civilian to carry out high-level assassinations of senior Israeli figures – up to and including the prime minister – according to a Police and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) statement.
It reveals a 73-year-old Jewish citizen, Moti Maman, who was arrested in August, was indicted in connection with the plot Thursday. The statement added the suspect was apparently smuggled into Iran on two separate occasions, and had also received some payments to carry out his supposed missions.
The Police and Shin Bet investigation revealed Maman, who hails from the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon, lived for lengthy periods in Turkey, and has extensive connections with Turkish and Iranian nationals. As such, he was arrested on suspicion of committing security offenses related to contact with intelligence elements of the Iranian regime.
As part of these relationships, in April 2024, Maman agreed, after mediation from Turkish officials Andrey Farouk Aslan and Junaid Aslan, to meet with a rich businessman living in Iran named "Eddy," to promote business activity.
Maman met with two of Eddy's associates in the Turkish city of Samandag in April 2024, when he reportedly held a phone conversation with the mysterious Iranian contact. Eddy said he was not able to leave Iran.
The investigation also revealed that following this, in May 2024, Maman went to Turkey, where he met with Andrey, Junaid, and Eddy's two representatives. After it became clear Eddy could no longer leave Iran for Turkey, the Israeli citizen was smuggled by car through a land border crossing at the Turkish border, near the city of Van, located in eastern Turkey. There he met with Eddy and another man named Haja, who was presented as an operative on behalf of the Iranian security apparatus.
Maman and the others went to Eddy's house in Iran, where he was introduced as an Israeli citizen at a meeting. Eddy reportedly asked the Israeli to carry out various security tasks within Israel on the Iranian regime's behalf, including: transferring money or a gun at predetermined points, photographing various crowded places in Israel and sending them to the Iranian authorities, and to threaten other Israeli citizens employed in the country on behalf of the Iranian regime who did not carry out requested tasks. Maman said he would look into the matter.
The investigation also revealed that during August 2024, Maman entered Iran for the second time while being smuggled through the border crossing while hidden in the cab of a truck. Staying again at Eddy's house, he met other Iranian intelligence officials, who requested he carry out terrorist activities for Iran on Israeli soil, and in the process to promote assassination attacks against Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, or Defense Minister Yoav Galant, or the head of the Shin Bet, Ronen Bar
Iranian intelligence officials also asked to look into the possibility of assassinating other senior leaders, such as former prime minister Naftali Bennett – who has been outside of the official political ring since he stepped aside from the position and handed it over to Yair Lapid in 2022 – and other public figures. In their view, they saw it as revenge for the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh on Iranian soil in July 2024, which the Iranian authorities attributed to the state of Israel, although Jerusalem never officially, publicly took responsibility for the action that so humiliated Tehran.
According to the investigation, the businessman demanded an advance payment of one million dollars before he was prepared to take any action, which the Iranian agents apparently rebuffed.
Following the initial encounter with Eddy, Maman held another meeting with the Iranian intelligence officials, in which they repeated their proposal to assassinate senior officials, explored the possibility he would deposit funds so others could locate Russian and American officials for the purpose of eliminating opponents of the Iranian regime in Europe and the United States. They also wished to create a Mossad double-agent.
A senior Shin Bet official explained further. "This is a very serious affair, which shows the great lengths to which Iranian intelligence agencies will go to recruit Israeli citizens to promote terrorist activities in Israel. The assessment of the security officials is that the Iranians will continue their efforts to recruit operatives in Israel for the purpose of gathering intelligence and carrying out terrorist missions in Israel, while also turning, among other things, to criminal elements to help carry out their missions.
"At a time when the state of Israel is at war on several fronts, an Israeli citizen goes to an enemy country on two different occasions, meets with Iranian intelligence agents and expresses a willingness to carry out serious terrorist acts on Israeli soil. His actions helped Iran and its intelligence agents in their campaign against Israel.
"The Shin Bet takes a very serious view of any contact by Israelis with Iranian elements, while the motive for the contact in the first place being a business pretext or a criminal platform, does not diminish the severity of the acts and the risk inherent in them, much less cooperation with these elements."
The timing of the information's release is also interesting. Surely the date of the indictment was set some time ago, although one can't help juxtapose the failure of this effort by Iranian security elements to penetrate Israel and carry out mass casualty terrorist attacks and/ or target top political and security individuals, against the dysfunction and chaos Israel has been able to sow with the exploding beepers and walkie-talkie operation in Lebanon and beyond. It does show the lengths to which Iran will try and go to destabilize its enemies.

A political activist shamed the FBI away from his New Hampshire home after the agents came to his residence to probe a message he posted online indicating: "Anyone who murders Kamala Harris would be an American hero."
Jeremy Kauffman, a Libertarian, recorded his interaction with two gentlemen claiming to be FBI agents, though they refused to show their identification.
"I'm Agent O'Donnell with the FBI," one of the men is heard saying after being asked to identify himself.
"Is that sufficient identification? Is there only one Agent O'Donnell in the FBI?" Kauffman replies.
"In New Hampshire, yes," the agent responds.
"Your full name, sir?" Kauffman asks again.
"Can you please stop recording?" the agent requests.
"No," replies Kauffman, noting it's his "First Amendment right."
Kauffman then asked the second agent: "What's your name, sir?"
"Can you stop recording?" the second agent asks, as he never provides his name.
"Absolutely not," Kauffman insists. "I'm going to go back inside my house."
Eventually, the agents departed, as Kauffman extended his middle finger to them on camera.
The activist posted the video online with the caption: "The FBI visited my house today for free speech acts they knew were not crimes. You can see the shame on their faces. This is the Democratic regime manifest."
The since deleted post by Kauffman came Sunday, the same day a second assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump was foiled in West Palm Beach, Florida.
U.S. Attorney Jane Young said: "We are aware of the tweet. Although the department generally will not confirm or deny any specific investigation, threatening violence is a crime and those who do this will be investigated, prosecuted, and held to account in a court of law."
A Secret Service spokesman told NBC10 Boston: "The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the social media post made by the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire, and as a matter of practice, we do not comment on matters involving protective intelligence. We can say, however, that the Secret Service investigates all threats related to our protectees."

JERUSALEM – On day 345 of the Swords of Iron war, more than 2 million Israelis woke up to the sound of sirens triggered by an incoming missile and pinging rocket alert apps at approximately 6:30 a.m. as Yemen's barbarous Iranian proxy – the Houthi – fired a ballistic missile toward Israel's densely populated center.
It is not exactly clear what happened – although it seems Israel's array of defensive aerial missiles – such as the Arrow and David's Sling systems which are designed for the longer ballistic missiles – did not succeed in taking down the projectile before it entered Israeli airspace. Later reports suggested the missile may have broken up as it flew over central Israel – although it was not certain whether interceptors caused this. There will be an IDF investigation into the failure of these systems to work as they should.
The Arrow missile defense system did bring the missile down, although shrapnel from the interception fell near Gezer – in the foothills of the Judean Mountains, and roughly equidistant between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv – as well as potentially three other areas. These included a train station near to Modi'in, with a population of some 90,000, and Rehovot, population 133,000, and home to the Weizmann Institute, one of Israel's foremost scientific research institutions.
Magen David Adom, Israel's emergency service, said nine people were lightly injured running to safe rooms or attempting to seek shelter. The attack marked the first time in months most people in Israel's center have heard a rocket alert siren, and followed opaque Houthi threats about retaliation for the widespread damage Israel caused to the Hodeidah port in July.
Some hours after the attack, Yahya Saria, a spokesperson for the Houthi rebels, claimed the group had used a hypersonic missile aimed at Jaffa, a weapon allegedly capable of flying some 1,300 miles in about 11-and-a-half minutes. Traditional intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) travel at several thousand miles an hour.
Ahead of Sunday's weekly cabinet meeting, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the early morning ballistic missile attack. "The Houthis should have already known that we exact a heavy price for any attempt to harm us. Anyone who needs a reminder is welcome to visit the port of Hodeidah," Netanyahu said.
Netanyahu also addressed the ongoing situation in the north, and in his remarks addressed those many thousands of people who have not returned to their homes in locales close to the Lebanese border. "The current situation will not continue," he declared. "This requires a change in the balance of forces on our northern border. We will do whatever is necessary to return our residents securely to their homes."
Israel's strike on the main Houthi port was in response to both provocation and escalation from the Shiite terrorists. They launched a suicide drone, which struck a Tel Aviv apartment block, killing one man. The Red Sea Islamists had also sent more than 200 other drones Israel's way, nearly all of which had been intercepted. With patience having run out, the Israel Air Force launched a daring and complex attack on the Hodeidah port, which involved at least 20 fighter jets as well as refueling aircraft, and traversed a distance of more than 1,100 miles – which as commentators pointed out at the time is further away than Tehran.
Meanwhile, in Israel's north, Hezbollah, another arm of the fanatical Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, continues to see just how far Israel can be pushed without inviting a more serious military response. Having fired some 60 rockets at the northern Galilee city of Safed – one of Judaism's four holiest places and the birthplace of Jewish mysticism – on Saturday, the terrorists followed it up Sunday morning with several volleys of dozens of rockets.
Does attack leave more questions than answers?
While the plain facts of the attack are quite straightforward, the fallout from it is far trickier to decipher. Answering them will necessitate attention from serious minds, not those intent on waltzing along on joy and vibes.
Where is the United States?
While the two U.S. presidential candidates bicker and snipe, amid the ignominious failure of the "fact-checking corporate media," real lives – including my own and those of my family – are at stake, as America has seriously taken its eye off the ball, and is continuously played by Tehran.
Not only has it lost focus, amid an incumbent president in Joe Biden who now spends more time on the beach topping up his tan than he does on matters of state, its listlessness and betrayal of its regional allies is becoming deadly serious. In Biden's absence it doesn't help to have Vice President Kamala Harris, who is confusingly by her own admission "the last person in the room," as well as the person who is distanced enough from Biden's failures to not have to own them.
Somebody needs to own them, and the United States' retrenchment from the Middle East is giving greater credence to the saying "Power… hates a vacuum." Questions such as, "Why have the Houthi been left largely unmolested to target international shipping in the Red Sea?" Much of what makes the free world actually free was the U.S. taking up the mantle from the deposed British Royal Navy following the Second World War and guaranteeing freedom of the seas. Would the U.S. allow Somali pirates such freedom to act? What makes the Houthi pirates so different, other than they are so clearly backed by Iran, with which the Biden White House seems to have such an intertwined relationship.
Whether the isolationists like it or not, bad actors with nefarious intent are elbowing America out of the way, and once lost – or perhaps this is the most galling point, given away – influence will be nigh on impossible to restore.
Where to now for Israeli deterrence?
While the war in Gaza, three weeks shy of its one-year anniversary, drags on, Israel has actually witnessed significant successes on the battlefield, including intelligence-gathering, dismantlement of a large proportion of the underground tunnel network (but by no means all), and a significant degrading of Hamas' fighting military strength. But it has come at a cost, in men and women, material, and increasingly deleterious downward pressure on a somewhat sputtering economy. Remember, Israel's is a largely conscript army. Regular troops are fighting alongside hundreds of thousands of reservists – people who have left their families and day-jobs – sometimes for months at a time – to protect the country. The effect of this should be obvious.
Drawing the lens out further, however, Israel used to be able to call upon the deterrence of its military might to cow enemies from attacking it. That is not the situation now – far from it. If anything, Israel's response – or lack thereof – has only emboldened the likes of Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthi in Yemen. And always lurking in the shadows is Iran, pulling the strings of its terrorist proxies from its Tehran eyrie.
Reports surfaced on Saturday which claimed Israel was in the advanced stages of planning operations against Hezbollah in the next weeks or low single-digit months. While some might welcome this news, for others, especially the tens of thousands of internally displaced people from Israel's north, it is a decision – if it proves final – has come way too late. Hezbollah has already understood – despite losing nearly 500 operatives in the last 11 months – it can push at the margins of Israel's resistance and not receive too significant a blowback. One obvious counter to this is the Israeli strike which exterminated Fuad Shukr, one of the most senior Hezbollah leaders to be eliminated since Imad Mughniyeh, which was in reprisal for the missile attack that killed 12 Druze kids in Israel's Golan.
Israel's enemies have made it abundantly clear – and on innumerable occasions – what their goal is. They are also dictating the pace of events, striking at will, attempting to normalize daily attacks as the cost of living in the Middle East. This does not seem sustainable over the long term, so logically it appears something must give. Israel's tactical gains in Gaza may arguably be for nought if the strategic necessities of fighting Iranian proxies across six or seven different – albeit connected – arenas, become urgent… as they increasingly seem to be.

A video has been exposed that reportedly is of an interview of Ryan Routh, the suspect in Sunday's attempted assassination of President Donald Trump, promoting fighting for Ukraine.
Collin Rugg of Trending Politics posted the video, explaining it was done by Newsweek Romania:
WATCH:
Rugg explains in the interview he begs people to come to Ukraine to fight.
"Once he got to Kyiv, he said that he helped recruit people to get involved in the war.," the report explains.
"We need everyone here fighting… that's why I'm in Kyiv so every project that I promote is about getting people here to support the Ukrainians. … When you talk to a 20-year-old guy that sold everything he owns to come here fight, that is heroism. … You know he's coming here to risk his life for humanity for the Ukrainians," he said.

Several influential and powerful industry organizations have come to the Supreme Court arguing in support of a family fighting a town's eminent domain decision to take property they intended to use for a hardware store.
According to the Institute for Justice, which is fighting on behalf of the Brinkmann family, the fight is over the Brinkmann family's purchase of property in Southold for a hardware store, and the city's confiscation of that property for a "park" that is supposed to be left entirely undeveloped.
The case argues the town had no legitimate reason for its confiscation of the property.
The IJ explained, "When every legal effort to stop someone from using their property has failed, can the government simply take the land using eminent domain? That is the question at the heart of a new U.S. Supreme Court petition filed by a family-owned hardware store business whose property was taken by a small Long Island town."
The legal team explains now the Southern Christian Leadership Conference of Southern California, the National Association of Realtors and the New York State Association of Realtors have filed arguments on behalf of the plaintiffs in the case.
The Realtors organizations charge that if "eminent domain could be employed at any time … to shut down a law-abiding development because the government disfavors it," it would leave the real estate industry in tatters.
The IJ explained "The government's power to take people's property using eminent domain is limited by the Constitution to only those situations where the taking is for a 'public use.' But what if the government lies and invents a public use to shield an illegitimate taking aimed at stopping a homeowner or business from doing something perfectly legal with their property?"
The report notes Southold officials tried a number of ways to prevent the hardware store being added to their business district, and all failed. So they simply claimed that specific property was required for an undeveloped park and took it.
"The town of Southold says that, so long as the government lies about why it's taking your property, it can take it for any reason at all—even because town officials just don't like you," said IJ Senior Attorney Jeffrey Redfern. "That's wrong, and a diverse coalition of amici explain why."
The SCLC brief, in fact, cites the injury to Bruce's Beach, a black resort in California that was shut down by Los Angeles County officials in 1924.
There, too, the city of Manhattan Beach claimed it was needed for a park, "but that was mere pretext—the property instead stayed vacant for over three decades. The real purpose of the taking was to drive out Bruce's Beach and the surrounding community," the report said.
The legal team explained unless the case outcome is reversed, "The predictable result of giving local governments this much power over private property would be that only political insiders would be able to develop property."
But town officials tried to interfere in the land purchase, imposed an exorbitant "impact" fee for a study never done, and pushed a "moratorium" on building permits.
At the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, the judges said, "the government can take your property for almost any reason at all—including because it just doesn't like you—so long as the government lies about why it is using eminent domain," explained IJ lawyer Jeff Redfern.

It's time, given the horrific evil that is appearing across America, especially in leftist political circles, for Christians to pursue what should be their strategy of first resort: "Prayer and fasting."
To save the nation that has, for generations, provided religious freedom, representative government, and more, around the globe.
It is commentator Eric Metaxas, a prominent best-selling author, commentator on faith issues and key to a popular and successful radio program, who has issued the call.
Addressing his comments to America's "pastors and leaders," he explains, "As we approach a pivotal moment in our nation's history, it is imperative that we, as the shepherds of God's flock, rise to the occasion with the urgency and gravity this moment demands. The challenges facing our country are immense, and the direction we take in the coming months will have profound implications for generations to come."
He explains, "I am calling on you, my fellow pastors and leaders, to commit to a season of prayer and fasting for our nation as we lead up to this critical election. This is not just about politics; it's about the soul of our nation, the future of our children, and the preservation of the freedoms that allow us to live out our faith boldly and without compromise."
His program is being promoted online at https://ericmetaxas.com/pray.
He explained prayer and fasting, described in the Bible, "are powerful tools that God has given us to humble ourselves before Him, to seek His face, and to intercede on behalf of our land. Scripture is clear: when God's people humble themselves, pray, and turn from their wicked ways, He hears from heaven and heals their land (2 Chronicles 7:14). We cannot afford to stand idly by, hoping that someone else will step into the gap. This is our responsibility, our calling."
He specifically is urging pastors to rally their congregations to the effort.
He's the No. 1 New York Times bestselling author of "Bonhoeffer," "Is Atheism Dead?" "Martin Luther," "Amazing Grace" and "Letter to the American Church."
His most recent is "Religionless Christianity: God's Answer to Evil."
He's also published more than 30 children's books, and heads the nationally syndicated "Eric Metaxas Radio Show,"
He's interviewed personalities ranging from Ron Howard and Mel Gibson to Morgan Freeman and Peter Thiel. And Dick Cavett, Kathie Lee Gifford, Sen. Rand Paul, Darryl Strawberry and Ross Douthat.
In a message to supporters, he explains just why this action is desired.
"What we saw in the 'debate' a few nights ago was nothing less than an open display of demonic activity. Is it too much to phrase it that way? I'm so sorry to say it is not. The brazenness of lying was simply unprecedented – and it showed a deeply wicked contempt for truth and for the American people that we simply have never seen."
He cited an article in the Federalist, which stated bluntly, "The debate was so biased it was divorced from reality. Trump should refuse to do another."
In it, John Daniel Davidson delivered a devastating verdict: "Tuesday night during the presidential debate between former President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, the fact-checks were flying, but only in one direction. As expected, ABC News moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis were criminally biased, making the debate effectively three-on-one against Trump and practically amounting to an in-kind donation to the Harris campaign. The lying and gaslighting were so brazen from Harris, and the 'fact-checking' from Muir and Davis so lop-sided (they failed even once to push back or correct any of Harris' obvious falsehoods), that the entire spectacle eventually took on an air of unreality. It was bizarre to see it happening live on the air. By the end, my main takeaway was that the purpose of these debates, besides the media's obvious goal of boosting Harris and hurting Trump, is to confuse and demoralize the American people by distorting reality and flooding the internet with lies, making it impossible to know what's true and what's not."
Metaxas said his belief is that "God is allowing these things to wake us up! What the enemy intends for evil, God intends for good. To that end, I am officially calling on every church in the nation to join together in fasting and praying for the upcoming election."
"EVERYTHING hangs in the balance."
So, he said, "Please go here https://ericmetaxas.com/pray. and sign your church up to JOIN US."

One of the biggest political election influence operations ever, determined by a survey to probably have handed Joe Biden the White House in 2020, was schemed by the Department of Justice's FBI. The CIA helped, as did a long list of ex-intel operatives for America. And the media.
That was when the Biden family scandals were revealed during the 2020 election race in a computer Hunter Biden abandoned at a repair shop.
The FBI – falsely – told media corporations it was Russian disinformation and they should suppress it. Those intel bureaucrats said the same. And the CIA assisted.
But Joe Biden's attorney general, Merrick Garland, now has gone on the record stating DOJ employees "do not bend to politics" and they "will not break under pressure."
It is legacy and leftist media cooperative Associated Press that reported that Garland "will denounce" "conspiracy theories" about the politicization of the federal bureaucracy during a speech this week.
That's even after FBI agents were revealed to have been plotting together to stop Trump's presidency during the 2016 campaign, when they exchanged emails about how that could happen.
That was when the bureaucrats used a long list of lies assembled by Trump's political opponent to open DOJ investigations into his campaign. It's when a special counsel ultimately determined there was no evidence of the "Russia collusion" claims perpetrated by the DOJ.
The report said, "Garland will use a speech to U.S. attorneys gathered in Washington and other Justice Department members to vigorously defend the department's integrity and impartiality and to condemn what he describes as 'outrageous' attacks that put law enforcement in harm's way."
According to prepared remarks publicized by the government, he will say, "These attacks have come in the form of conspiracy theories, dangerous falsehoods, efforts to bully and intimidate career public servants by repeatedly and publicly singling them out, and threats of actual violence."
The comments continue, "Through your continued work, you have made clear that the Justice Department will not be intimidated by these attacks. But it is dangerous — and outrageous — that you have to endure them."
Garland repeatedly has been called on to defend the actual politicization of his department, as evidenced by cases, court filings and records.
In fact, his department appointed a "special counsel," who failed to obtain Senate confirmation, to indict Trump over and over.
For instance, Trump was indicted in a government documents dispute that had largely similar circumstances to a documents dispute for which Joe Biden was given a pass.
Trump was accused of a criminal conspiracy for his comments about the 2020 election. A Democrat prosecutor in New York, who campaigned on targeting Trump, indicted him on 34 felonies for misdemeanor business records violations. And a Democrat lawyer in New York, who also campaigned on getting Trump, sued him for hundreds of millions of dollars for business practices that experts confirmed in court were standard practice.
The prosecutions not actually run by the DOJ reportedly have been influenced by that department, with lawyers visiting in Washington during the times they assembled their charges.
Garland's comments followed by just days Trump's latest criticism of the DOJ's politicization.
"It's called weaponization. Never happened in this country. They weaponized the Justice Department," the GOP presidential candidate said during a Tuesday debate.
"Every one of those cases was started by them against their political opponent, and I'm winning most of them, and I will win the rest on appeal."
Some counts, in fact, have been dismissed, others are already on appeal, and some remain mired in a Supreme Court ruling that presidents have immunity for some actions in the White House.
The DOJ also was caught trying to give a special, kid gloves-soft, deal to Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, over a variety of charges. The deal fell apart under questioning by a federal judge, and Hunter now has been convicted of gun charges and pleaded guilty to tax charges.
Social media commenters were harsh on Garland:
"Was there a laugh track behind him?"
"They always accuse us of what they are actually doing."
"Extreme gaslighting."
"Do they really think that the American public is that stupid?"
"Funny that he has to hold a press conference to try to convince us that the doj isn't corrupt."

A former Israeli ambassador to the United States is warning that a Kamala Harris presidency would cost Israel … a great deal.
Yoram Ettinger, in an interview with Israel365, said the problem is that she is taking advice from pro-Palestinian advisers.
"Kamala Harris' foreign policy team includes figures like Philip Gordon and Elan Goldenberg, who are known for their pro-Palestinian leanings and their disdain for Israeli policies," he said.
"Gordon was (Barack) Obama's top adviser on Palestinian issues, advocating for policies that undermined Israel's security," Ettinger warned.
He pointed out that Goldenberg is affiliated with J Street, a group that often criticizes Israel.
"Goldenberg's track record with J Street suggests he supports policies that would press Israel into dangerous concessions," Ettinger explained. "His influence could push Harris' administration toward policies that compromise Israel's safety and sovereignty."
And he cited another adviser, Rebecca Friedman Lissner, who "has been vocal about limiting America's global role, which could translate into diminished support for Israel on the international stage. A Harris presidency might see a significant weakening of America's commitment to Israel."
In the interview, Ettinger noted, "A Harris administration might delay or restrict military aid to Israel. This could severely impact Israel's defensive capabilities at a time when regional threats are intensifying."
The result could be that progress toward Middle East peace would be delayed.
"The Biden administration (of which Harris is a part) has been lackluster in advancing the Abraham Accords. A Harris administration is unlikely to prioritize or expand upon these important agreements, leaving Israel more isolated."
The Abraham Accords are a series of peace agreements involving Israel and its Arab neighbors. They were created and adopted during President Donald Trump's first term in office.
Ettinger said, "American voters often prioritize domestic issues, but the next president's foreign policy decisions will have profound consequences for Israel's security and its relationship with the U.S."
President Trump, on the other hand, "was unequivocally the most pro-Israel in history. He made the historic move of recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital and relocating the U.S. embassy there, defying decades of diplomatic inertia."
He also cited Trump's sanctions against Iran, which "crippled the Iranian economy and curtailed its ability to fund terrorism."
Under Biden and Harris, America has opened the channels to tens of billions of dollars going to Iran, which has been followed by a surge in terror activities.
He said, "Trump's stance on the Golan Heights and aid to the PA showcased a principled approach that unequivocally supported Israel's security and sovereignty."
The report explained the comments are a "crucial alert for pro-Israel voters. The choice between Trump, who has shown unwavering support for Israel, and Harris, who Ettinger argues could undermine the U.S.-Israel alliance, could significantly impact Israel's future."
