At some point, as artificial intelligence expands across the world, there's going to be a point when AI turns into genuine stupidity. This might be that point:
A judge is suspected of refusing to do the job for which he is paid, and utilizing artificial intelligence instead of legal analysis, to write a court opinion.
According to a report and Law and Crime, the lawyers in the case were "bewildered" by the statements from Henry Wingate.
He's a federal judge in Mississippi.
His order, from just a week ago, granted a request for a temporary restraining order from education groups, such as the Mississippi Association of Educators, that stops the state government from using several pats of a new law to remove "diversity, equity and inclusion" ideologies.
But the ruling contained "apparent indisputable factual inaccuracies."
The report suggested the judge may have been using artificial intelligence to write the comments.
A report at Not the Bee explained that the order later was corrected because it had "multiple errors, which the defendants noted in an unopposed motion to clarify."
For example, the judge got the names of the plaintiffs wrong. And he got the names of the defendants wrong. And he recited "allegations" that do not appear in the complaint at issue. And they are not supported by evidence. And he inserted language in the disputed law that does not appear in the original. And he included testimony from four people whose statements were not in the record.
The defendants "respectfully request the court take appropriate steps to clarify or correct the following apparent and indisputable factual inaccuracies."
Not the Bee commented, "This isn't the first time this has happened, and it definitely won't be the last: To put this in plain English, a black federal judge (likely) had AI help write an order that temporarily stopped laws passed by the state legislature and governor that would get rid of DEI programs."
The report continued, "I know legalese is boring and nerdy, but think about the implications here. The residents of a state elected politicians to represent them in the legislature. Those politicians enacted the will of the people by writing a bill that defunds and removes race-based 'equity' programs meant to discriminate against residents with European heritage as payback for past injustices against non-Europeans. That bill was then signed and passed into law by the governor.
"Then, at the finish line, a federal judge (a Reagan appointee, no less!) temporarily stops the bill from being implemented. This could very well be in his constitutional authority, but he (or more likely his clerks) decided they can't be bothered to do their jobs and explain themselves. Instead, they (allegedly) had a computer language model make-up fake rulings out of thin air. Are you starting to see how damaging this could be?"

A Louisiana woman is being accused of fraud by investigators who say she was running a multi-million-dollar empire involving several companies and bought a $100,000 Lamborghini but still claimed – and took – Medicaid benefits.
A report from Fox News explains Candace Taylor, 35, from Slidell, is facing felony counts, accused by Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's office of fraudulently taking Medicaid benefits.
"According to arrest records, the investigation began with a complaint from the Louisiana Department of Health alleging Taylor committed Medicaid recipient fraud by underreporting her income to qualify for benefits," the report explained.
She allegedly applied for Medicaid in 2018 under an alias, but was denied benefits. Then months later, she reapplied using the same alias but different information.
In 2024, two months after purchasing the Lamborghini, Taylor allegedly reapplied for Medicaid benefits — this time reporting a $2,000 monthly income and failing to disclose her ownership of any businesses, the report said.
But on Facebook, investigators found posts showcasing her luxury lifestyle.
A report from WVUE said in 2020 alone nearly $481,000 was deposited into her accounts.

A report at Colorado Politics has documented the state's long history of work toward the agenda that was only over the last few years actually put into an organized plan when Joe Biden pushed his "abortion-for-all-at-any-time" ideologies.
Of course that would be at taxpayer expense.
The state, now turned entirely leftist with Democrats running the governor's office, the state House and Senate, and an all-Democrat state Supreme Court that wildly tried to ban President Donald Trump from the 2024 ballot, only to be put in their place by the U.S. Supreme Court, recently adopted a law claiming that abortion now is a right in the state Constitution.
"It's well known that Colorado was the first state in the nation to enact a law that allowed a woman to obtain an abortion," the report explains. That was in 1967, about the time state Rep. Dick Lamm, a Denver Democrat and later governor, opined publicly that seniors have a "duty to die."
He sponsored the bill, which ironically triggered the creation by opponents of Colorado Right to Life, and shortly later, the National Right to Life.
Voters there, not always in alignment with the pro-abortion political campaigns, then voted to ban public funding of abortions. Multiple attempts to stop the abortion ideologues fell by the wayside, but lawmakers did, in 2003, adopt a parental notification.
But alongside was a "bubble" law suppressing First Amendment rights in zones around abortion industry members.
Now a lawsuit pending in the state is demanding a vast new standard that pro-life interests warn could go national: A ruling that parents have no role in a minor child's abortion.
It is the American Center for Law and Justice that said, "If this lawsuit succeeds, it won't just impact Colorado families. It will open the door for minors to cross state lines for secret abortions – without their parents ever knowing. It will rob parents of the chance to protect their daughters in one of the most vulnerable and life-altering moments of their lives. That's not just dangerous – it's a heartbreaking betrayal of parental rights.
"The complaint proudly describes Colorado as a 'haven for abortion seekers' – even a state intentionally open to out-of-state minors seeking abortions without parental involvement. While the complaint presents this as a virtue, it opens the door to serious risks," the ACLJ reported. "When a girl crosses state lines for a secret abortion, and no one notifies her parents, who's looking out for her safety? What if she's being abused, trafficked, or pressured?
"The ACLJ has raised these concerns in court before. We've shown that abortion – especially when done in secret – is often used to cover up abuse: Traffickers and predators use abortion to erase evidence and keep victims under control. Abortion clinics have been caught failing to report clear signs of abuse. And minors impregnated by abusers may be forced into silence and secrecy.
"By advertising itself as a no-questions-asked abortion hub, Colorado creates a blind spot that predators can exploit. What's marketed as 'safe access' quickly becomes a shield for exploitation. The infuriating irony is that the very arguments framed as 'pro-woman' are enabling some of the worst abuses of women and girls."
The lawsuit is by abortionist Rebecca Cohen, who is demanding the state strike down its own parental notification law.
"She overlooks a critical fact: In Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, the U.S. Supreme Court made it clear that the Constitution does not guarantee a right to abortion. That decision returned abortion policymaking to the states. Meanwhile, the federal constitutional right of parents to direct their children's upbringing – including decisions about medical care – remains fully intact. The Supreme Court has repeatedly affirmed this right in landmark cases, such as Pierce v. Society of Sisters and Wisconsin v. Yoder," the ACLJ said.

Urgent calls for the firing and arrest of a top Cincinnati councilwoman emerged Wednesday after she allegedly said she was "grateful" for the vicious pummeling of white citizens and that "they begged" to be attacked.
"They begged for that beat down! I am grateful for the whole story," is attributed to Victoria Parks, president pro tem of Cincinnati City Council, in a comment thread discussing Saturday's violence in which a mob is shown horrifically hammering numerous white people.
"Cincinnati Councilwoman Victoria Parks needs to step down. So does the Cincinnati Police Chief. They are both defending criminal behavior," urged one person on X.
"These people are absolute lunatics," said journalist Eric Daugherty, as he notified the U.S. Justice Department about the remarks.
Other comments online include:
"This should be an immediate termination condoning and supporting this kind of attack."
"So you sanction a beating because he did what … ? Breathe? Or you just know he deserved it? And I'm sure the woman is equally guilty."
"I hope the victims sue this hag."
"@PamBondi please start arresting these public officials for crimes against people."
"Thank you Barack Hussein Obama for setting race relations back to 1870."
Fox News reported the FBI has now opened an investigation into the attack, as three of the five suspects charged in the mayhem were arraigned Wednesday.
Those appearing in court were Dekyra Vernon, 24, Montianez Merriweather, 34, and Jermaine Matthews, 39, who face charges including felonious assault and aggravated riot.
WLWT-TV in Cincinnati reported: Hamilton County Prosecuting Attorney Connie Pillich "made a strong statement after watching video from the fight that has been seen by millions across multiple platforms."
"In order to dissuade people from committing these types of offenses, I'm going to throw the book at them," Pillich said.
Parks announced in January she will not be running for reelection, according to WCPO-TV.
"Upon completion of this term, I will retire and hang out with my grandchildren and nieces and nephews," Parks said.
"I look forward to picking up kids from football practice and piano lessons, volunteering on boards and spending my money on plane tickets. I have worked since the age of 14 and at the end of the year, I will reap the benefits of my work life."
Parks has not responded to WorldNetDaily's request for comment.

Former U.S. Transportation Secretary and potential Democrat presidential candidate in 2028 Pete Buttigieg has tempered his support for so-called transgender athletes competing in women's sports.
As Fox News reported, during an interview with NPR, Buttigieg acknowledged "fairness issues" in the debate.
"Around sports, … I think most reasonable people would recognize that there are serious fairness issues if you just treat this as not mattering when a trans athlete wants to compete in women's sports," Buttigieg said.
The former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, admitted that parents of girl athletes who raise concern about males competing against their daughters have a reasonable argument, but he says he doesn't believe the issue should be regulated from Washington, D.C.
"I think these decisions should be in the hands of sports leagues and school boards and not politicians … in Washington trying to use this as a political pawn," Buttigieg said.
"Chess is different from weightlifting, and weightlifting is different from volleyball and middle school is different from the Olympics. So, that's exactly why I think that we shouldn't be grandstanding on this as politicians. We should be empowering communities and organizations and schools to make the right decisions."
However, as Fox News points out, Mayor Pete's former boss, President Joe Biden, passed an executive order on his first day in office in 2021 that said, "Children should be able to learn without worrying about whether they will be denied access to the restroom, the locker room, or school sports."
Also, Democrats in Congress tried to pass the Transgender Bill of Rights and the Equality Act, both of which would have allowed trans athletes to compete in girls and women's sports.
Buttigieg joins several other prominent Democrats and pundits who have spoken out against allowing males to compete with females, including California Gov. Gavin Newsom; Rep. Seth Moulton, D-Mass.; and HBO host Bill Maher.

U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., has proposed legislation in Congress that would give American taxpayers each at least $600 in the form of a rebate, taken from the huge cash haul that is expected during 2025 from President Donald Trump's tariffs on foreign nations.
Trump has been working since taking office to balance the world trade and make it more fair for American consumers and corporations, who long have been subsidizing other nations' incomes.
He's used tariffs as both a stick and carrot to persuade other nations to reach trade agreements, and multiple deals have been inked, the most recent with the European Union which will have those nations paying America a 15% tariff, purchasing more American products and investing $600 billion in the U.S.
The results have been positive, with the nation's trade surplus in June at $27 billion, just what Trump's tariffs brought in. Further, the economy now is assessed to be growing at an annual rate of 3%.
The Washington Examiner noted Hawley's plan would provide for $600 rebates per person, but that number could go higher depending on the actual tariff revenue this year, which now is estimated to be in the range of $200 billion to $250 billion.
"Americans deserve a tax rebate after four years of Biden policies that have devastated families' savings and livelihoods," Hawley said, about his "American Worker Rebate Act."
"Like President Trump proposed, my legislation would allow hard-working Americans to benefit from the wealth that Trump's tariffs are returning to this country."
It does provide for reduced rebates for those individuals with income above $75,000 or couples with income higher than $150,000.
WND reported earlier when Trump confirmed he likes the idea.
Trump said, "We're thinking about that [a rebate], actually. We have so much money coming in we're thinking about a little rebate, but the big thing we want to do is pay down debt. We're thinking about a rebate. That's a very good question. You just made a lot of news."
That drew Hawley's promise:

FBI Director Kash Patel found a trove of sensitive documents related to the origins of the Trump–Russia probe buried in multiple "burn bags" in a secret room inside the bureau, reports Fox News Digital.
The FBI reportedly uses the "burn bag" system to destroy documents designated as classified or higher.
According to Fox's sources, one of the documents FBI officials found in a burn bag was the classified annex to former special counsel John Durham's final report, which includes the underlying intelligence he reviewed.
Once the annex is declassified, it is scheduled to be turned over to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, who reportedly will release the document to the public.
"Ultimately, the release of the classified annex will lend more credibility to the assertion that there was a coordinated plan inside the U.S. government to help the Clinton campaign stir up controversy connecting Trump to Russia," the source told Fox News Digital.
"Mere days after this intelligence was collected, the FBI launched Crossfire Hurricane," the source said. "It's really hard to see how Brennan, Clapper and Comey are going to be able to explain this away."
In a June interview with podcast host Joe Rogan, Patel said that he found a room full of documents and computer hard drives "that no one had ever seen or heard of."
"Just think about this," Patel told Rogan. "Me, as director of the FBI, the former 'Russiagate guy,' when I first got to the bureau, found a room that Comey and others hid from the world in the Hoover Building, full of documents and computer hard drives that no one had ever seen or heard of. Locked the key and hid access and just said, 'No one's ever gonna find this place.'"
According to Fox News, the most recent discovery of documents was pursuant to an investigative request from Grassley.
The senator has requested Patel give him information related to Durham's probe. Durham was appointed after then-special counsel Robert Mueller completed his yearslong investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe – including intelligence community malfeasance during and in the aftermath of the 2016 election.
As the Gateway Pundit reported, part of Grassley's request is for thumb drives that contain unreviewed evidence in the Hillary Clinton email scandal.
Amuse on X wonders who it is within the FBI that tipped Patel off to the existence of the burn bags and hidden room, calling him or her an "unknown hero."

As expected, Jerome Powell, the chair of the Federal Reserve board of governors, on Wednesday left the interest rate unchanged, keeping the 4.25%-4.5% goal he's demanded since the first of the year.
President Donald Trump has been calling for him to lower it.
And the pressure for a reduction, which likely would give the Trump economy another boost, grew earlier in the day when the government announced the second quarter GDP was 3%, "way better than expected."
There have been pressure campaigns for Powell to quit as well as pushes for Trump to fire him.
But Powell no longer has a stranglehold on the board, as two governors, Christopher Waller and Michelle Bowman, voted for a quarter-point cut.
That dissent had not appeared in the Fed's decisions in decades.
Powell also has been under fire for a renovation project at the agency's headquarters that was supposed to cost $1.8 billion, but now is estimated to hit taxpayers for $3.1 billion.
All other economic indicators, job creation, inflation, trade, and more, have been greatly better during the Trump economy than during Joe Biden's administration, when inflation reached past 9%.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday said California Democrat Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi "should be investigated" for insider trading of stocks.
His remarks came as he was asked a question about legislation introduced by Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., that bans members of Congress from owning or trading individual stocks, with it extending to the president and vice president. It's dubbed the PELOSI Act, an acronym for Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments.
"I like it conceptually," Trump began noting he would have to look into it more.
"You know, Nancy Pelosi became rich by having inside information," Trump continued. "She made a fortune with her husband and I think that's disgraceful."
"What I do think is Nancy Pelosi should be investigated. She has the highest return of anybody, practically, in the history of Wall Street, save a few. How did that happen?
"She knows exactly what's gonna happen, what's gonna be announced. She buys stock and then the stock goes up after the announcement's made. And she ought to be investigated."
Trump echoed sentiments expressed by popular podcaster Joe Rogan on Monday, who indicated: "Nancy Pelosi's the head witch."
"There's like a system and they all get funded, and they all make sure that there's this kind of crooked system that will allow someone like Nancy Pelosi who – what does she make like $200,000 a year? She's worth $150 million! How the f*** did that happen?" Rogan wondered.
"If insider trading is illegal, how the f*** is it legal for her husband to make all these purchases of stock right before these giant deals came out that she negotiated? And then he gets this windfall and they get insanely wealthy! Over and over and over again!
"And there's no investigation into it, there's no talking about it. It's f***ing wild, man, It's wild sh**. And they think Putin's a mobster. What are YOU?"

As President Trump's efforts to preserve the integrity of women's sports continues, the World Athletics Council announced Wednesday it would require a test for all athletes wishing to compete in female categories at the upcoming track and field World Championships.
As Fox News reported, the test will be for the SRY gene, "a reliable proxy for determining biological sex" with a cheek swab or blood test, the organization said in a release.
"The philosophy that we hold dear in World Athletics is the protection and the promotion of the integrity of women's sport. It is really important in a sport that is permanently trying to attract more women that they enter a sport believing there is no biological glass ceiling. The test to confirm biological sex is a very important step in ensuring this is the case," World Athletics President Sebastian Coe said.
"We are saying, at elite level, for you to compete in the female category, you have to be biologically female. It was always very clear to me and the World Athletics Council that gender cannot trump biology."
Fox reports that the specific gene "provides instructions for making a protein called the sex-determining region Y protein. This protein is involved in male-typical sex development, which usually follows a certain pattern based on an individual's chromosomes," according to Medline Plus.
World Athletics announced in March that it would institute a test and now is providing information about the specific requirements going forward.
The next World Championships open Sept. 13 in Tokyo, while Sept. 1 is "the closing date for entries and the date the regulations come into effect," the organization said.
