Alina Habba, the acting U.S. attorney for New Jersey whose position has been the subject of legal gymnastics since her appointment by President Donald Trump, is now alleging "collusion" against her as she calls out Republican senators she says are trying to block her confirmation.

Appearing on "Sunday Morning Futures" with Maria Bartiromo on the Fox News Channel, Habba criticized U.S. Sen. Tillis of North Carolina and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa for what she called "the new lawfare."

"The president was rightfully voted in by a majority of Americans, and he is entitled to pick his U.S. attorneys, his Department of Justice officials, his judges, so that we can continue the agenda that the American public voted for which is to get rid of crime," Habba began.

"In the state of New Jersey in June alone, we arrested over 300 criminals, illegals, rapists. What is so bad about that work?"

"The truth is it has nothing to do with the work that we're doing. It has nothing to do with the crime that we're stopping. It has to do with trying to prevent President Trump from continuing his agenda, and it has to stop!"

"So I would say to Sen. Tillis and Sen. Grassley: You are becoming part of the issue. You are becoming part of the antithesis of what we fought for four years."

"We cannot allow and promote that kind of behavior. It is not just about me. It is about people across the country, U.S. attorneys across the country that just want to do right by Americans that voted for President Trump and this administration."

On Saturday, President Trump posted on Truth Social a 2017 quote from Grassley, in which Grassley stated: "We should not allow home-state senators to abuse this courtesy by attempting to block committee proceedings for political or ideological reasons."

Bartiromo also asked Habba about an unusual circumstance in which Habba's "first assistant was in the wedding party of the federal judge" who has ruled Habba has been illegally serving in her current post.

"We had a very strange situation that I was made very aware of months ago," Habba explained.

"The Department of Justice official who was named to replace me was very close with federal judges that voted me out and voted her in. It was not a typical situation. It was not a partisan situation. It was solely, 'Let's get our person in.'

"What they don't understand is Article 3 judges do not pick the U.S. attorney for the state. The president, Pam Bondi, the attorney general, that's who picks it.

"And they had a collusion, a plan. I'm aware of it and the Department of Justice is aware of it, and soon enough it will come out. It was inappropriate it was unethical and, frankly, senators ordering the judges in tweets to vote against me was also inappropriate, and it was all because of one arrest I made which I stand by."

The single arrest she referred to was the detainment of U.S. Rep. LaMonica McIver, D-N.J., who allegedly body slammed an ICE agent as she impeded and interfered with federal officers as they attempted to arrest an individual outside the Delaney Hall Federal Immigration Facility in Newark, New Jersey, on May 9, 2025.

An assistant attorney general in Rhode Island who made national news for repeatedly shouting, "I'm an A.G." at police officers confronting her in a restaurant will be put on unpaid leave.

While Special Assistant Attorney General Devon Flanagan Hogan initially was put on paid leave, starting Monday she'll be staying at home – without pay, reports Fox News digital.

It is unclear how long Flanagan will remain on unpaid leave until a final determination is made on her employment.

As WorldNetDaily reported, police responded Aug. 14 night just before 10 p.m. to a trespassing call for customers refusing to leave a business, in this case the upscale Clarke Cooke House restaurant in Newport, Rhode Island.

Despite numerous warnings, Flanagan refused to leave and was taken into custody, but not before she legally challenged the officer – all caught on bodycam footage.

"You're not gonna arrest us," said Flanagan, repeating, "I'm an A.G. I'm an A.G."

"Good for you. I don't give a sh**," said the officer. "Let's go. We're going."

Earlier this week, Flanagan's boss, Rhode Island Democrat Attorney General Peter Neronha, talked to a local radio host about Flanagan's fate.

As the Gateway Pundit reported, Neronha stated, "Look, she's put me in a bad position. She's embarrassed herself, humiliated herself, and treated the Newport Police Department horribly. She is going to take some steps to try to address that in the next day or so. But I just don't know what I'm going to do yet, Jean, and I have to give it some more thought.

"But the inexcusable behavior – she knows better. The office knows better. I've got 110 lawyers. She embarrassed all of them, in a sense. … I want to get some more information, frankly, about what's going on with her before I make my final decision."

Fox News reported Wednesday that Neronha sat Flanagan down and had her watch the arrest video with him.

The federal government now has begun checking the status of all 55 million, or so, people who hold U.S. visas.

"America's benefits should not be given to those who despite the country and promote anti-American ideologies," explained Matthew Tragesser, a spokesman for the USCIS. "U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is committed to implementing policies and procedures that root out anti-Americanism and supporting the enforcement of rigorous screening and vetting measures to the fullest extent possible."

report at Newsweek said the "continual review" is taking into consideration "anything that could render an immigrant deportable."

This includes law enforcement records, immigration records, or other information, the department said.

Suspicious activities that are uncovered could result in visa extensions being denied, green card requests rejected and naturalizations stopped.

The State Department also confirmed indicators of ineligibility would include visa overstays, threats to public safety and criminal activity.

Newsweek explained, "The administration of President Donald Trump has repeatedly made clear that it is taking a tough stance on immigration and border security, with the State Department playing a key role in determining eligibility for visa applications from overseas. It also monitors ongoing temporary visas, such as student and cultural exchange programs."

The report noted that visa reviews also are not necessarily new, as they are routinely subject to various government checks.

In fact, officials revealed the department already has revoked twice as many visas since just January as it had during the same period under Joe Biden.

One of Trump's major agendas has been securing the United States, following the years of Biden's open borders practices when millions of illegal aliens, including terrorists, simply walked across the border.

Trump also has instituted aggressive practices to find and deport illegal alien criminals, but has faced the political opposition from some judges who, extraordinarily, in one case tried to order airplanes carrying illegal alien criminals being deported that already were in international airspace to turn around and bring the criminals back to the U.S.

The U.S. also has halted worker visas for commercial truck drivers, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Thursday on X. He said the change was effective immediately.

"The increasing number of foreign drivers operating large tractor-trailer trucks on U.S. roads is endangering American lives and undercutting the livelihoods of American truckers," Rubio said.

The government has started insisting trucker drivers, whose accidents in recent weeks have cost American lives, speak and read English, and recognize and identify road signs.

"Ensuring that every driver on our roads meets the highest standards is important to protecting the livelihoods of American truckers and maintaining a secure, resilient supply chain," the department revealed.

The reviews also will include an assessment of applicants' social media accounts.

"As part of the Trump Administration's commitment to protect U.S. national security and public safety, since Inauguration Day the State Department has revoked more than twice as many visas, including nearly four times as many student visas, as during the same time period last year," the State Department said.

The definition of to "bork" someone now is to obstruct a candidate for office "by systematically defaming or vilifying them."

It comes from the leftists and Democrats who viciously attacked Judge Robert Bork when he was nominated for the U.S. Supreme Court by President Ronald Reagan, activists who decided they would not tolerate his conservative views.

Perhaps there soon will be a word to "engoron" someone, which would be to let a political agenda get in the way of the law, to wildly redefine evidence and the law, and deliberately target a politician for a courtroom defeat.

That's essentially the conclusion from constitutional expert Jonathan Turley, who wrote about Arthur Engoron, the New York judge who orchestrated a $500 million judgment against President Donald Trump, then saw his work canceled on a sheet of paper delivering an appeals court decision.

"In New York, a court revealed that a leading citizen had cooked the books by inflating questionable figures without any support in reality. Moreover, his wild overvaluation was widely viewed as motivated by his self-aggrandizement. The final reported figures are so absurdly inflated that they were rejected in their entirety. In the end, he was off by over half a billion dollars. That man is Judge Arthur Engoron," Turley wrote.

"After a New York appellate court unanimously threw out Engoron's absurd half-a-billion-dollar judgment and interest against President Donald Trump, the irony was crushing. It was Engoron who seemed, as he characterized Trump witnesses, as having 'simply denied reality.' It made his notorious reliance on an assessment of Mar-a-Lago as worth between $18 million and $27.6 million seem like good accounting."

In the end, not a single appellate judge supported Engoron.

Turley noted, "For some of us who covered that trial, the most vivid image of Engoron came at the start. He indicated that he did not want cameras in the courtroom, but when the networks showed up, Engoron took off his glasses and seemed to pose for the cameras. It was a 'Sunset Boulevard' moment. We only need Gloria Swanson looking into the camera to speak to 'those wonderful people out there in the dark!' and announcing 'all right, [Ms. James], I'm ready for my close-up.'"

WND reported that a five-judge panel in the appellate division in New York's court's threw out Engoron's judgment against Trump, created by himself without a jury.

The ruling said Engoron failed to follow the U.S. Constitution in the case.

New York Attorney General Letitia James, who had campaigned for office on the promise to "get" President Trump, without citing any evidence of wrongdoing, then created "fraud" claims against him. She alleged that he was guilty over the valuation of his properties in connection with various loans.

Testimony during the trial showed that the banks that loaned Trump money were happy with the transactions, that all the loans were repaid in full, they made money from the deals and they would like to do them again.

Despite the evidence, Engoron, without a jury, claimed Trump was guilty and owed in excess of $300 million in penalties. That grew to more than half a billion dollars with interest, a threat Engoron made against the president that now has vanished.

Reports confirmed the ruling is a major loss for James, who ironically now is under investigation herself for fraud.

She's accused of misrepresenting her residences in order to obtain preferential mortgage loan treatments, including once when she allegedly characterized her father as a "spouse" and represented a five-apartment building she owns as having four apartments because that would give her a better interest rate.

The "delirium" began with James, who "injected lawfare directly into the veins of New Yorkers," Turley wrote.

"Yet, James could not have succeeded if she had not had a judge willing to ignore reality and cook the books on the fines. She needed a partner in lawfare. She needed Engoron," he wrote.

The appeals court found the law cited by Engoron "has never been used in the way it is being used in this case – namely, to attack successful, private, commercial transactions, negotiated at arm's length between highly sophisticated parties fully capable of monitoring and defending their own interests."

"Ironically, if Engoron had shown a modicum of restraint, he might have secured a victory. During the trial in New York, I said that he would have been smart to impose a dollar fine and limited injunctive relief. That, however, required a modicum of judicial restraint and judgment. Instead, Engoron chose to walk down the stairway into infamy. He was off by half a billion dollars, which could put him in the Bernie Madoff class of judges," Turley said.

Los Angeles, its mayor and chief of police are being sued in a case that accuses them of operating in violation of the U.S. Constitution by imposing a system of viewpoint discrimination that simply takes away the rights of some parts of the city's population.

The case comes from Liberty Counsel, which alleges that the defendants denied a permit for a peaceful assembly because it was from Mayday USA, a grassroots organization that advocates against abortion, pornography and human trafficking.

Yet, the charges say that the city, Mayor Karen Bass and Police Chief Jim McDonnell just "days later" provided that same permit for the LA Pride Parade, which advocates for positions opposite to what Mayday USA endorses.

Liberty Counsel chief Mat Staver said, "The city of Los Angeles may not pick and choose which groups are allowed First Amendment rights of free expression or religious freedom. The Constitution is clear that religious freedom is inalienable.

"Liberty Counsel is defending these ministries because silencing the peaceful public expression of Christian viewpoints cannot be tolerated. The city's unconstitutional permitting scheme cannot withstand First Amendment scrutiny and causes irreparable harm to religious liberty. Los Angeles city officials must be held accountable."

The legal team charged, "The city unconstitutionally denied the organizers a permit to peacefully assemble even though a few days later the city permitted the LA Pride Parade in the same location."

It represents Jenny Donnelly, founder and president of Her Voice Movement, Inc., lead organizers Robert Donnelly, Ross Johnston, and Russell Johnson, lead pastor of The Pursuit, a Christian church in Washington.

They requested access to Hollywood Boulevard, a traditional public forum, for a May 31 event to worship, and to speak against abortion, pornography, and human trafficking.

City officials refused, and then went further by creating a long list of administrative hurdles and technical permitting requirements.

Yet, the same officials quickly granted permission at the same location for events such as the 55th Annual LA Pride Parade, the Thai New Year Songkran Festival, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement protests.

The plaintiffs are asking the court for an injunction to halt the city's "unlawful permitting process that violates the rights to free speech, religious exercise and equal protection."

The rights advocates had set up events in LA, New York, Miami, Seattle and Houston in May, a "Mayday" call for Christian revival.

"The events were permitted and held in the first four cities, though the city of Seattle conspicuously denied organizers their location of choice and only granted it to be held in a predominantly LGBTQ neighborhood," Liberty Counsel reported, where "gender-confused and antifa rioters dressed in black and wearing face masks assaulted the Christians in attendance," forcing police to intervene.

Los Angeles, for example, insisted organizers conduct a petition of Hollywood Boulevard's business owners and vendors to ensure at least 51 percent approved of Mayday's expressive activity and speech, they hold an event without a stage, and refused to allow reasonable times for the permit application, none of which is found in the city's code.

The filing quotes the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Shurtleff v. Boston, which rules, "When the government does not speak for itself, it may not exclude speech based on 'religious viewpoint;' doing so 'constitutes impermissible viewpoint discrimination.'"

The foreign-born population in the United States exploded by millions under Joe Biden.

After all, he imposed essentially open borders practices that allow just about anyone who could walk across the border a place at the public benefits table, and even encouraged foreigners who lived thousands of miles from America's borders to come.

But under President Donald Trump's secure border agenda, that population already is down by 1.5 million, the first time that has happened in more than half a century, the 1960s, according to Pew Research.

The report actually noted that the number of immigrants living in the U.S. reached a record high of 53.3 million in January 2025, just as Joe Biden was packing his things to move out of the White House.

Pew also revealed that the number of noncitizens in the U.S. illegally reached a record high of 14 million in 2023.

report at the Center Square noted that the months after Biden left show "a decline of nearly 1.5 million."

"A nationwide crackdown on immigration has been a central part of Trump's second-term policy agenda. He has signed 181 executive orders relating to immigration since returning to the White House in January. The administration has implemented its immigration policies through mass deportations of noncitizens, incentivizing self deportations, heightened security at the U.S.'s southwestern border and by toughening up student visa requirements," the report explained.

It's all made a difference as the percent of the U.S. population made up of immigrants shrunk to 15.4% in June from 15.8% in January.

Pew's own report documented that, "The U.S. unauthorized immigrant population likely continued to increase rapidly through at least mid-2024, reaching new highs, according to available government data. Growth continued in the second half of 2024 at a much slower pace and may have stopped entirely as inflows dropped dramatically due to Biden administration policy changes."

"From January to June 2025, the unauthorized immigrant population likely declined, possibly by as much as 1 million. However, as of July 2025, the unauthorized immigrant population almost surely remains higher than in July 2023, when we estimated that the population stood at 14 million," it reported.

The reasons then were stated: "From July 2023 through June 2024, more than 2.1 million immigrants were released or paroled into the U.S. These groups are considered a part of the unauthorized immigrant population. The largest group, U.S. Border Patrol releases, accounted for more than 1.1 million new arrivals of unauthorized immigrants. Another 1 million were paroled into the U.S. at the southwestern border and through the CHNV (Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Venezuela) and U4U (Uniting for Ukraine) parole programs."

"The large inflows imply continued, rapid growth past our 14 million estimate for mid-2023," it said.

The "slowdown" followed in mid-2024 when Biden changed his policies, as about 400,000 migrants were released or paroled into the U.S. during the last half of the year.

"The main reduction came from a change in practice by the Border Patrol, which released many fewer migrants into the U.S., about 60,000, during these six months, compared with more than 1.1 million during the preceding 12 months. In addition, the Biden administration stopped admitting migrants under the CHNV parole program in August 2024. Only about 35,000 were admitted after July 2024, which was about 10% of the total from the previous 12 months. By November 2024, there were no CHNV paroles."

The report noted during 2021-2023, during Biden's time of office, "unauthorized" immigrants grew significantly, with an all-time high of 14 million in 2023.

Biden's plans to offer various protections to illegal aliens were the key, the report said.

"The increase from 2021 to 2023 was driven primarily by growth in the number of unauthorized immigrants who were living in the U.S. with some protections from deportation, such as immigrants paroled into the country and asylum seekers. About 6 million immigrants without full legal status had some protection from deportation in 2023, up from 2.7 million in 2021. In 2007, when the total unauthorized immigrant population was at its previous high (12.2 million), about 500,000 had some protection from deportation," Pew said.

Trump's work to increase deportations and eliminate special protections has worked during 2025 to turn the trend in the numbers around.

The report pointed out four "parole" programs pushed by Biden as reasons for the number of immigrants coming to the U.S. having "significantly increased."

Those are his Operation Allies Welcome program for Afghanis, United for Ukraine for Ukrainians, parole processes for those from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela, and the Office of Field Operations paroles.

Target, just a few years ago, went totally woke by promoting LGBT, specifically transgender, products in its stores. Its stock fell, stores faced headwinds staying open and even now it's busy replacing its CEO.

And don't forget Bud Light, which partnered with a man who says he's a woman, and its popularity collapsed like a really bad souffle, and never has recovered.

Now it's Cracker Barrel restaurants, with a new "wokey-type" CEO, that is turning itself inside out, and gets a 7% stock plunge in just a day, or a collapse of $100 million.

A report at CBS said the company "shed almost $100 million in market value after its stock plunged … following the release of a new logo."

It now says "Cracker Barrel," after eliminating the "drawing of an overall-clad man leaning against a barrel, in favor of a cleaner logo featuring just the chain's name."

The slide appeared to halt on Friday.

The company has been working to change itself around.

The report noted, "It's unusual for a company's share price to plunge dramatically due to a logo redesign, although marketing missteps can cause investors to question a company' strategy. Cracker Barrel's overhaul has been overseen by CEO Julie Felss Masino, who last year described the chain as 'not as relevant as we once were,' and announced plans to update its down-home menu."

The company claimed, "Our values haven't changed, and the heart and soul of Cracker Barrel haven't changed."

But marketing experts have criticized the company's overhaul and many charged the company with going "woke."

And Bolt Health founder Kevin Dahlstrom, who has been marketing chief in several companies, said the rebrand is a "fiasco."

"The holy grail of marketing is to create a brand that customers give a damn about — and feel some ownership of. It's exceedingly rare and when you have that — as Cracker Barrel did — you NEVER EVER abandon it, you only double down on it," Dahlstrom wrote.

The company soared in the 1990s and its stock reached $180 in 2018. More recently, it has traded in the $55 range and its revenue has been growing by small numbers.

David Marcus, in a commentary said the company was abandoning customers and trading "authenticity for corporate slop."

"Few things in American life have felt as trapped in the amber of history as Cracker Barrel restaurants, with their recipe of comfort food served up in cozy confines that evoke a bygone era. It's little wonder Americans routinely wait for an hour to get a table after church, or welcome a road-trip diversion when they see the classic logo on a highway sign," he said. "Now, the cracker-jack whiz-kid marketing team at the iconic eatery's corprate headquarters has decided to forgo all of this, including possibly, based on public reaction to their changes, the long lines."

The government's investigatory documents into Jeffrey Epstein, the pedophile who serve jail time for one set of cases and died, apparently by suicide, while in jail awaiting prosecutors to assemble another set, have reached a boiling point in America.

Democrats are demanding full release of everything the government knows, likely in the hope that they will find some dirt on President Donald Trump. Trump, at the same time, has said if there WAS any dirt on him, Joe Biden already would have publicized it.

But there remain a ton of questions because of Epstein's connection to high profile individuals, like Bill Clinton, who took dozens of trips on Epstein's "Lolita Express" jet, and visited his private island where victims have confirmed they were sexually abused.

Another high profile name involved in Bill Gates, whose ex-wife cited his relationship with Epstein as their marriage broke up.

But the biggest name, if he is implicated, would be Trump.

But his critics likely will be disappointed.

That's because the Department of Justice has released hours of interview tapes between a federal prosecutor and Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a long prison sentencing for helping Epstein recruit – for abuse – young girls.

"Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche sat down with Maxwell in a federal prison in Tallahassee, where she was being held until recently. The terms of the interview granted her limited immunity from further prosecution – unless she told lies," reports confirmed.

And her testimony about Trump?

Asked if she ever observed President Trump get a massage, she said, "Never."

"I actually never saw the president in any type of massage setting. I never witnessed the president in any inappropriate setting in any way. The president was never inappropriate with anybody. In the times that I was with him, he was a gentleman in all respects."

Another big name in the case is Prince Andrew, who months ago reached a massive financial settlement with a woman who charged that he abused her as a young girl.

Authorities now have published hundreds of pages of transcripts as well as audio recordings of Maxwell's interview on the DOJ website.

The materials are available here.

Maxwell is serving a 20-year term for her conviction of helping Epstein traffic teen girls. Her case is on appeal.

The release came with little warning, days after federal judges denied the DOJ's requests to unseal of grand jury materials from both Maxwell and Epstein's criminal cases.

The report in the Gateway Pundit on the release said, "Everyone is going to know what Maxwell told Deputy AG Todd Blanche in her interviews."

Maxwell also has subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee, and she has expressed willingness to appear, but that hasn't developed yet.

A Florida teacher under fire for attacking a student with conservative values now needs to be fired, "and never allowed to teach again in Florida," according to state Attorney General James Uthmeier.

He sent a letter to the school board of Alachua County, demanding an investigation into a situation described by Crystal Marull at a state board of education meeting.

"If these facts bear out – and we have no reason to doubt Dr. Marull's veracity – then this teacher should be immediately terminated, and never allowed to teach again in Florida," the AG wrote in his letter.

He described: "Yesterday, Crystal Marull testified before the State Board of Education that a teacher from your county allowed students to label Dr. Marull's son a 'Naziphile' because of his interest in World War II history and participate in ROTC. That same teacher nominated her son 'Most Likely to Become a Dictator' due to his conservative values, had his classmates vote on the 'award,' and tried to force the student to the front of the class to receive a certificate, which he correctly refused."

That is a likely violation of state law, Uthmeier said.

"Florida law prohibits bullying and harassment. The Alachua County School Board's policy also prohibits bullying and harassment. Indeed, teachers must adhere to the Principles of Professional Conduct for the Education Profession in Florida. Teachers must not 'harass or discrimination against any student on the basis of … political beliefs,' 'intentionally expose a student to unnecessary embarrassment or disparagement,' 'unreasonably deny a student access to diverse points of view,' 'unreasonably restrain a student from independent action in pursuit of learning,' 'intentionally suppress or distort subject matter relevant to a student's academic program,' or expose a student to 'conditions harmful to learning,'" the letter charged.

The teacher, he said, "violated Floria law, the school board's policy, and no less than six ethical principles."

report in the Alachua Chronicle said the board's reaction was to put the teacher on administrative leave immediately.

And Uthmeier noted, "Despite this teacher's nasty immaturity, we commend this young man for his strength in the face of rank political discrimination. Remove this teacher from the classroom. Parents and students in Alachua deserve better."

The teacher had told Marull earlier, "I do apologize that [your son] was offended by the Class Superlative. Class Superlatives are an activity I have been doing with all my classes for the last four years. I give students the option to change or add superlatives to the list from previous years and then the class nominates students and votes on the winner. I was not aware that [your son] was upset that he was nominated for that superlative a few weeks ago. To my knowledge, he did not ask to be removed when he was nominated or when the class voted. When I passed them out today, I reiterated that they were just for fun. These were not meant to be offensive. I do apologize."

But Marull charged, "This is just one incident emblematic of the litany of abuses and offenses that conservative families face in this district. Not only was it wholly inappropriate, the apology was hollow, and although I reported this to a school board member at the time, the board failed to follow up with any consequences."

WND had reported Marull also noted another son was barred from sitting with a friend "because a parent objected to my perspectives on book challenges."

Marull has been fighting woke books in the school system for years, and on Tuesday, she said on X: "School libraries are not a safe space. There are so many dark forces afoot, parents need to wake up.

"The groomers and pedophiles have infiltrated the school libraries! The 'banned book' arguments are all just a cover for their dark purposes."

From social media comments came a description of the teacher's actions: "Satanic."

And, "Why are we allowing teachers to bully conservative students? @EDSecMcMahon @HarmeetKDhillon."

And, "Hell, JAIL the teacher, this is child abuse."

President Donald Trump's agenda to use tariffs to push for fair trade deals, raise revenue for America and support U.S.-based business and industry sparked the first monthly trade surplus in years. In happened when the surplus was reported at $27 billion, just weeks ago.

And the longer term impact appears to be even brighter.

report at the Washington Examiner detailed a new projection from the Congressional Budget Office, the nonpartisan organization that keeps its thumb on America's wallet.

That group is predicting Trump's tariff agenda, if maintained, would "decrease total deficits by up to $4 trillion over the next decade."

"CBO projects further increases in tariff revenues in the coming months," director Phillip Swagel wrote. "If there are no further changes in tariff rates, we project that customs duties from new and existing tariffs will total about $200 billion this fiscal year."

The nation has a total debt now of about $37 trillion, with each citizen's share more than $108,000.

The forecasts come in light of the adoption over the summer of Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill that established a secure future for the Trump tax cuts of his first term. It also addresses a long list of other government actions, including massive cuts in spend in several areas.

It calls for an elimination of tax funding to the abortion industry giant Planned Parenthood, which has gone to court claiming it can, through the courts, force taxpayers to deliver cash to its accounts even though Congress and the president have determined that should not be spent.

Oddly, there are now entry-level court judges who have agreed with this concept of a constitutional right for abortionists to tax money.

The CBO estimates the OBBBA will represent a $4.5 trillion decrease in tax revenues and a $1.1 trillion cut in spending through 2034.

But White House officials are counting on economic growth as well as hundreds of billions in new tariff revenue to help the nation.

The Council of Economic Advisers earlier suggested the legislation that came to be the OBBBA would produce a deficit reduction of up to $2.3 trillion over a decade, from growth.
