President Donald Trump on Monday announced a second military strike on a Venezuelan boat loaded with drugs headed for the United States.
"This morning, on my Orders, U.S. Military Forces conducted a SECOND Kinetic Strike against positively identified, extraordinarily violent drug trafficking cartels and narcoterrorists in the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility," Trump said on Truth Social.
"The Strike occurred while these confirmed narcoterrorists from Venezuela were in International Waters transporting illegal narcotics (A DEADLY WEAPON POISONING AMERICANS!) headed to the U.S.
"These extremely violent drug trafficking cartels POSE A THREAT to U.S. National Security, Foreign Policy, and vital U.S. Interests. The Strike resulted in 3 male terrorists killed in action. No U.S. Forces were harmed in this Strike.
"BE WARNED — IF YOU ARE TRANSPORTING DRUGS THAT CAN KILL AMERICANS, WE ARE HUNTING YOU!
"The illicit activities by these cartels have wrought DEVASTATING CONSEQUENCES ON AMERICAN COMMUNITIES FOR DECADES, killing millions of American Citizens. NO LONGER. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!"
The mission was similar to one conducted Sept. 2, when Trump posted a video showing U.S. military forces destroying a small ship in the Caribbean carrying drugs and piloted by designated "narcoterrorists" from Venezuela.
Said Trump of the first strike: "Earlier this morning, on my Orders, U.S. Military Forces conducted a kinetic strike against positively identified Tren de Aragua Narcoterrorists in the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility. TDA is a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, operating under the control of Nicolas Maduro, responsible for mass murder, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and acts of violence and terror across the United States and Western Hemisphere.
"The strike occurred while the terrorists were at sea in International waters transporting illegal narcotics, heading to the United States. The strike resulted in 11 terrorists killed in action. No U.S. Forces were harmed in this strike. Please let this serve as notice to anybody even thinking about bringing drugs into the United States of America. BEWARE! Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!!!!!!!!!"
And as WorldNetDaily reported last Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security released a video on X showing the U.S. Coast Guard capturing a drug boat before burning and sinking it as part of Operation Pacific Viper.

Vice President JD Vance says his own young children have now become victims of raging vitriol being spewed by leftists in a politically charged America.
As Vance hosted "The Charlie Kirk Show" on Rumble on Monday, the vice president, who was a close friend of the assassinated civil-rights leader, recounted how he and his family were viciously hollered at during a recent visit to Disneyland in California.
"'You should disown your dad, you little sh**!' one middle-aged woman yelled at my 5-year-old. 'Tell the Secret Service to protect the Constitution – not your father!' screamed another.
"Are these women violent? Probably not. Are they deranged? Certainly. And while our side of the aisle certainly has its crazies, it is a statistical fact that most of the lunatics in American politics today are proud members of the far left."
Vance, who was broadcasting from his office in the West Wing of the White House, continued: "After Charlie died, one of his friends and one of our senior White House staffers had left-leaning operatives in his neighborhood passing out leaflets telling people what he looked like and where he lived, encouraging neighbors to harass him or, God forbid, to do worse.
"While he was mourning his dead friend, he and his wife had to worry about the political terrorists drawing a big target on the home he shares with his young children. Are these people violent? I hope not. But are they guilty of encouraging violence? You damn well better believe it!"
Vance also went "scorched earth" on individuals celebrating Kirk's assassination.
"There is no unity with people who scream at children over their parents' politics," Vance said. "There is no unity with someone who lies about what Charlie Kirk said in order to excuse his murder.
"There is no unity with someone who harasses an innocent family the day after the father of that family lost a dear friend.
"There is no unity with the people who celebrate Charlie Kirk's assassination!"
"There is no unity with the people who fund these articles, who pay the salaries of these terrorist sympathizers, who argue that Charlie Kirk, a loving husband and father, deserved a shot to the neck because he spoke words with which they disagree."
Vance concluded: "I can't promise you that this is gonna be easy. I can't promise you that all of us will avoid Charlie's fate.
"I can't promise you that I will avoid Charlie's fate, but the best way to honor him is to shine the light of truth like a torch in the very darkest places. Go do it!
"We owe it to our friend to ensure that his killer is not just prosecuted, but punished. And the worst punishment is not the death penalty, but the knowledge that Charlie's mission continues after he's gone. St. Paul tells us in Ephesians to put on the full armor of God."
Elon Musk saw Vance's statement, and noted: "Unity is impossible with evil fanatics who celebrate murder."

A constitutional expert, a renowned legal expert and commentator whose opinions routinely appear in a long list of publications, has, inconveniently for Democrats and leftists, assembled a long list of "fighting" words, comments suggesting violence, even mayhem, by Democrats and leftists.
The listing comes from George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley, whose career not only includes testifying before Congress as an expert on the Constitution, but representing members in court.
He cited the recent turmoil among leftists after a suspect, known to family and friends as a leftist, allegedly shot and killed Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk at a free speech event at a Utah college.
"[Ex-House Speaker Nancy] Pelosi insists that words no longer matter. She may be speaking the truth when it comes to the left and the media. They do not matter if they convey righteously violent messages. It then becomes little more than 'phrases related to cultural issues,'" he explained.
He noted, "Democrats are mystified that anyone would point to their own rhetoric and responsibility. When the alleged shooter of Charlie Kirk was found to have scrawled antifa messages on his bullets, the response was again denial and deflection. At CNN, the network repeated its 'fiery but mostly peaceful' approach to reporting. It told CNN viewers that there were 'phrases related to cultural issues.' The wording was so painfully awkward and overly evasive that it only caused greater attention from viewers. CNN later admitted that the writing involved antifa references."
He noted Pelosi blamed President Donald Trump for telling supporters to "fight like hell" for election integrity, which prompted her claim, "Words matter. Truth matters. Accountability matters."
Now her turn of phrase is "we can't take responsibility for the minds that are out there and how they hear it."
He noted, "Democrats and the media have long applied a double standard to political violence," and Pelosi has adopted the same "relativity."
He noted that Democrats have plunged wholly into the use of violent rhetoric.
Statements he uncovered:
_Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., declared, "Elon Musk is seizing the power that belongs to the American people."
_Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., claimed that Musk and Trump were conducting a "rapidly expanding and accelerating coup."
_Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., declared that a "coup" was being carried out.
_Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., warned that Musk was "taking away everything we have."
_House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., called for people to take to the streets to save democracy and posted a picture brandishing a baseball bat. He also wants Democrats to fight "in the streets."
_Former Democratic National Committee deputy chair Keith Ellison, now the Minnesota attorney general, once said Antifa would "strike fear in the heart" of Trump.
_Democrat California Gov. Gavin Newsom declared, "I'm going to punch these sons of b—— in the mouth."
_Rep. Maxine Waters, D.-Calif., said, "We are here to fight back."
_Sen. Cory Booker, D/N.J., called on citizens to "fight" and threatened, "We will rise up."
_Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas., yelled, "We are gonna be in your face, we are gonna be on your a–es, and we are going to make sure you understand what democracy looks like, and this ain't it."
_Rep. LaMonica McIver, D-N.J., added: "God d— it shut down the Senate!…WE ARE AT WAR!"
"Democrats have admitted that the rhetoric is causing many to consider violence. One House Democrat told Axios, 'Some of them have suggested … what we really need to do is be willing to get shot.' Yet another admitted that constituents have told them to prepare for 'violence … to fight to protect our democracy.' Others reported that liberals are talking about the need 'to storm the White House and stuff like that,'" he explained.
Such rhetoric "can inspire unhinged citizens who actually believe that this is a war against a coup. It is the type of rhetoric that can prompt anti-Republican Nicholas John Roske to try to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh or Sanders supporter James T. Hodgkinson to try to massacre Republican members playing softball," Turley warned.
Former talk show icon Jay Leno, in a broadcast interview, said it literally was the death of free speech when, "You have to shoot somebody with a gun to quote win the argument."

Some of President Donald Trump's work to "Make America Great Again" and restore its business influence around the world has been high-profile, such as his use of tariffs to encourage other countries to be fair in their trade agreements.
Some haven't been quite that profile, but still have produced results.
Such as his campaign to build American energy development, production and sales.
That's benefited the American economy by about $5 billion … per month.
It is a report at Courthousenews that explains Europe's "trade advantage" over the U.S. plunged "by another $5 billion in July."
That's based on information that shows a months-long shift as Europeans now are buying significantly more American goods.
"The European Union's trade surplus with the U.S. fell to 13 billion euros ($14.3 billion) in July from 18 billion euros ($19.8 billion) a year earlier, according to official EU data. The shift represents the largest monthly deterioration in the trade relationship since U.S. President Donald Trump took office," the report said.
The report said the 20 EU countries that use the euro currency showed similar results, as its global trade surplus fell to 12.4 billion euros from 18.5 billion euros a year earlier.
"European imports of U.S. goods surged 10.7% to 31.2 billion euros, while U.S. purchases of European products dropped 4.4% to 44.2 billion euros. The diverging trends signal a fundamental shift in one of the world's most important trade relationships," Courthousenews said.
European exports to the U.S. have fallen as the dollar strengthened and changed purchasing patterns, with Europeans buying more American energy, technology and agricultural products.
The report said European markets are weak, with a second-quarter growth report of a dismal 0.1%, far behind America's 0.8%.
The trade changes followed Trump's insistence that European allies stop buying Russian oil and gas.
Trump, in a statement, said, "I am ready to do major Sanctions on Russia when all NATO Nations have agreed, and started, to do the same thing, and when all NATO Nations STOP BUYING OIL FROM RUSSIA. As you know, NATO'S commitment to WIN has been far less than 100%, and the purchase of Russian Oil, by some, has been shocking! It greatly weakens your negotiating position, and bargaining power, over Russia. Anyway, I am ready to 'go' when you are. Just say when? I believe that this, plus NATO, as a group, placing 50% to 100% TARIFFS ON CHINA, to be fully withdrawn after the WAR with Russia and Ukraine is ended, will also be of great help in ENDING this deadly, but RIDICULOUS, WAR. China has a strong control, and even grip, over Russia, and these powerful Tariffs will break that grip. This is not TRUMP'S WAR (it would never have started if I was President!), it is Biden's and Zelenskyy's WAR. I am only here to help stop it, and save thousands of Russian and Ukrainian lives (7,118 lives lost last week, alone. CRAZY!). If NATO does as I say, the WAR will end quickly, and all of those lives will be saved! If not, you are just wasting my time, and the time, energy, and money of the United States. Thank you for your attention to this matter! DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA."
A European Commission official declined comment to Courthousenews.
The report said the U.S. now supplies more than 50% of Europe's liquefied natural gas needs.
The report said the economic slowdown also has started affect Europe's job markets, with employment growth only 0.1%.

A fight to keep alive a scheme of warrantless searches in the state of Pennsylvania has hit a block, with a ruling from a judge against authorities' demand that the case be dismissed.
"If government officials want to invade your private property and start snooping around, they need to get a warrant based on probable cause that some violation is taking place," said Joshua Windham, a lawyer for the Institute for Justice.
"The fact that these warrantless intrusions were authorized by a statute makes the problem worse, not better. We look forward to proving that the statute cannot constitutionally be applied to Tim's private property."
The fight is over a Pennsylvania statute that officers of the state Waterways Conservation do not need a warrant to invade and search private property.
The government sought to dismiss the case pending in Susquehanna County by Tim Thomas.
Officers twice have relied on the statute to search his private property, but the ruling means Thomas' challenge to the state's apparent Fourth Amendment violations can continue.
"These invasions of privacy should never have happened, and my hope is that we can set some precedent that helps ensure they won't happen to anybody else," he said.
The fight, between Thomas and officer Ty Moon, began in May 2023, when Moon came onto Tim's lake cabin property and began banging on the door while Tim's late wife, Stephanie, was home alone. Scared, Stephanie did not answer the door, so Moon proceeded to walk to the back of the property where he photographed their boat, cabin and vehicle all without a warrant, the IJ reported.
"The next day, while Tim was pulled over on the side of the road picking flowers for Stephanie, Moon pulled up behind them and said he'd 'been chasing' them and that he would 'get to the bottom of things.' Four days later, Tim received a citation in the mail for evading the officer and fishing without a license, which wasn't true. When Tim appealed, the charges were dismissed."
Weeks later, Moon returned, walking directly onto the property past multiple no trespassing signs, beside a bathroom window while Stephanie was bathing, and began confiscating Tim's fishing rods.
"When Tim confronted Moon, he cited him for fishing with too many rods. When the case went to court, Tim was found not guilty," the report said.
The IJ explained, "The Fourth Amendment protects 'houses,' and also what courts call the 'curtilage' of the home (basically private yards). In the opinion, Judge Joseph Saporito Jr. had 'no difficulty' holding that, 'Based on the allegations of the complaint, it is simply beyond cavil that WCO Moon entered onto the curtilage of the Thomases' home, without a warrant or consent.'"

It seems there may have been an active agenda under the Joe Biden administration to accelerate prosecutions over the Jan. 6, 2021, protest-turned-riot at the Capitol after President Donald Trump was elected in 2024 and it was clear Biden soon would be out of power.
It was under the Biden administration that judges uniformly held people suspected of offenses like trespassing for months, even years, in prison.
The cases were brought up as if there were serious charges like treason or insurrection involved, when there weren't.
Sentencing by the judiciary in the leftist enclave of Washington was harsh, and judges routinely refused permission for cases to be moved to other jurisdictions because of the obvious bias that existed.
Now it appears there may have even been a concerted campaign by the Biden administration to hurry up prosecutions and sentencings after Trump was elected last November, and it was clear Biden soon would be out of power and Trump even would have a free hand to pardon those J6ers, which he eventually did.
It is Judicial Watch, a government watchdog organization, that has confirmed it has filed a Freedom of Information lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice for records on accelerated Jan. 6 prosecutions.
Those happened after Trump's election last November.
"The Biden administration, anticipating President-elect Donald Trump's promise to issue pardons for January 6, 2021, defendants, is believed to have accelerated prosecutions in the final months of Biden's term," Judicial Watch reported.
Its case in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia came after the Justice Department failed to respond to a November 2024 FOIA request for the records of then-Attorney General Merrick Garland, then-Deputy Attorney General Lisa O. Monaco, then-Principal Deputy Associate Attorney General Benjamin C. Mizer, and then-Special Counsel Jack Smith "regarding a) pardons of any person(s) incarcerated due convictions in federal court in the District of Columbia related to crimes committed at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C, on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021 b) directives or orders to focus on arresting additional suspects by type of offense allegedly committed. The timeframe of the request is from January – November 2024," Judicial Watch reported.
"On January 6, 2025, the Justice Department reportedly considered charging up to 200 additional people for their alleged involvement at the U.S. Capitol disturbance. About 1,583 people already had been facing federal charges. On January 17, 2025, it was reported that the FBI and federal prosecutors continued to make arrests and 'pursue hefty sentences for those who breached the U.S. Capitol grounds.' Authorities made four arrests just days before Trump's inauguration," the watchdog confirmed.
"The corrupt Biden Justice Department tried to undermine the Trump administration by maliciously prosecuting American citizens tied to January 6. Judicial Watch's lawsuit aims to get to the truth about this last-minute abuse of power," Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said.
The organization previously has sued over "lawfare" targeting Trump and his supporters several times.
One fight it handled was for the benefit of the family of Ashli Babbitt, the unarmed Air Force veteran shot at point blank range and killed during that Jan. 6, disturbance. The government reached a $5 million settlement with her family and granted her military honors.
Another case involved the lawfare against Trump, a created organized crime allegation, brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who later was ordered off the case because of her conflict in that she hired a paramour to do investigative work for her.
Judicial Watch also has been investigating how much Willis, Smith and others doing lawfare for the Democrats coordinated with Nancy Pelosi's partisan commission investigating J6.
It also has sued over IRS records suggesting targeting of Capitol protesters and their supporters, two conference calls involving Biden officials about the election certification that year, and a meeting in which Biden officials pressured each other to target "far right" Americans.

As Americans continue to try to make sense of last week's assassination of Christian champion and civil rights leader Charlie Kirk, videos are emerging of the outspoken Jesus worshiper issuing a challenge to fellow believers about what he calls "the most ignored commandment" of the Ten Commandments.
"I speak at hundreds of churches of all different denominations," Kirk told the Wisdom Pearl, "and I will challenge the Christian church because I believe this is the most ignored commandment of the Decalogue to our own detriment."
"We do a horrible job of honoring the Sabbath," he explained. "We do a really bad job of that as American Christians."
And what may come as a surprise to millions of Christians, the Sabbath he observed and promoted is NOT Sunday when many congregate to worship on the first day of the week, but rather the seventh day of the week, when Jews and some Christians cease from their work.
The founder of Turning Point USA indicated, "The Sabbath is one of my favorite topics to talk about honestly 'cause I'm so sick of talking about politics all day long, it's all I do. So it drives me crazy. This is actually way more important than that."
Kirk said he'll go "a step further" than merely challenging fellow Christians about ignoring the instruction from God.
"I believe that honoring the Sabbath is the commandment that allows you to honor the other nine commandments, and that the enemy has gone after the honoring the Sabbath because then it is easier to weaken the other nine. And I'll prove it to you," he said.
"If you're honoring the Sabbath, it's definitionally easier to honor your mother and father because you're not working that day and are with family. If you're honoring the Sabbath, it's easier not to covet your neighbor's wife because you're not around your neighbor's wife. You're with your family and you're filled with gratitude that day.
"When you're honoring the Sabbath, it's easier to have no other gods before God because that day is built in time as a temple, as a sanctuary to put God first, to not have idols, to not take the Lord's name in vain. The other nine commandments are made easier, are made more accessible for our broken fleshly depraved nature if we prioritize the Shabbat."
Prior to his shocking assassination Wednesday at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, Kirk had completed a book on the subject titled "Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Change Your Life," which is now set for release posthumously in December.
"It's honestly how the Sabbath saved my life and helped preserve my family and helped preserve my career," Kirk noted of the book.
Kirk was willing to talk about his personal religious background as he explained his awakening to resting on the seventh day of the week.
"I grew up in a Presbyterian background. We left that church, we went to what would be best called as a Bible-believing, evangelical church. So not quite Calvinist, not Pentecostal, somewhere in the middle," he recounted.
"We believe in many of the same stuff, guys. I believe in the inerrancy of Scripture. I believe you need Jesus Christ. I believe in grace not works. I believe that there is heaven awaiting us."
He indicated two prominent figures helped open his eyes to resting on the seventh day: Pastor David Engelhardt, a board member at Turning Point USA, and Dennis Prager, the nationally syndicated radio talk-show host and WorldNetDaily columnist who is also the founder of Prager University.
"I was exhausted, it was the summer of 2021. I sat down with [Pastor Engelhardt], I said, 'I'm not sleeping well, I'm fatigued.' And he asked me very bluntly: Are you honoring the Sabbath?' And I gave him very weak theological arguments honestly [such as] 'Oh, I'm not bound to that,' or 'No, I'm not really interested in that, I don't have to do that.' And he really challenged me and I didn't have good responses to be perfectly honest with you."
Of Prager, who is Jewish, Kirk said he "is the premier Torah teacher of this generation. He's amazing, he's a phenomenal mind."
"He would always talk about the Shabbat, always taking about the Sabbath. And I found myself, after a couple of years of hearing this, getting really jealous of him, being like, 'Wait a second! You're just able to unplug for one day and not work and be with friends and family and worship God? I want that!' And I would start to get really jealous in the worst possible way.
"And then I realized it's not something that you go purchase at the store. It's not something that you have to take out a loan for. It's simply the prioritization of the question of: Who's in charge? It's that simple.
"And if you believe God is in charge and if you believe Genesis 1:1 – because Shabbat is a question of whether or not you believe Genesis 1:1 – and if you believe Genesis 1:1, then you honor the Sabbath.
"If you have questions about Genesis 1:1 – 'In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth' … it's the first truth-claim of the Scriptures, then on the seventh day you rest because God created the heavens and the earth. It is the longest standing celebration of time of the creation of the heavens and the earth. And so that realization changed my life."
Kirk admitted when he first started resting on the seventh day, "it was really hard at first. But I just do it religiously regardless of where I am. No one can contact me. And I just read, I take notes, whatever, and it's been an unbelievable blessing."
Kirk stressed The Decalogue, which are the Ten Commandments, "says very clearly that we have to honor the Sabbath."
"I believe truly that the Sabbath is the commandment that makes the other nine possible. And so, let's think about it. If you're a parent that is growing disconnected from your child, are you having a Sabbath dinner with them with no devices on?" he asked.
"Probably not. I believe the Sabbath dinner is one of the great traditions that mankind has always had. And whether we like it or not, Jesus had plenty of Sabbath dinners. We know that.
"And also He had a Passover dinner. I'm not saying you're bound by it. But this is a thing that's in the Bible that's kind of like, 'Wow! Am I doing that? Am I taking advantage of that?'
"So I call on every Christian, if you want your life to improve, maybe you don't, maybe you want your life to remain awful and miserable, but if you want your life to improve, the happiest people, the least depressed people in the world are those that honor the Sabbath, or some form of a day of rest."
"They live longer, they're healthier, less disease and all of it. So for me it's been a great blessing, and it's a way just to totally tune out of all this kind of nonsense that's happening around you."
When traditional Christians told Kirk they were too busy to have a Sabbath rest, Kirk would respond: "I hate to pull rank on this, but if I can do it, you can do it."
"Try it for a month, try it for two months and you'll find your relationship with God and your loved ones will dramatically improve and that hardened hearty that you are worried about I think will soften very quickly."
In another interview, Kirk lamented: "I think that to our own detriment and to our own failure, we as Christians have decided to cast away resting on one of the seven days. God rested after creation, that comes before the Hebrews, it comes even before the creation of the modern world and civilization as we know it.
"And it says very clearly in the Scriptures: For six days you shall work, and the seventh day you shall rest. If you are feeling overrun by society, you might be feeling depressed or anxious, here's this one way that you might be able to improve. Turn your phone off for one day. No contact. No social media. No work. Your mental health will improve dramatically.
"That is a day to go be with God, that is a day to read your Bible and be out of the busyness and the hurriedness and just the anger and the noise of this world. Go back to God's natural rhythm. And it's made our family much tighter knit. And I could be traveling for five or six days, but if I at least get one good Sabbath with my family, it charges all back up."
He noted: "I want to be remembered for courage for my faith, that would be the most important thing. The most important thing is my faith."
Charlie's wife Erika Kirk was asked about the impact resting on the seventh day of the week has had on their family.
"As the wife, I have seen it transform him in a way that is so powerful that when he turns his phone off and it goes in that drawer, and he and I know that it's, you know he's all on for the family," Erika explained, adding there were "no distractions and he finally gets to reset his brain. He finally gets to breathe."
"And as a wife, there is nothing more precious than my husband's sanity when it comes to the echo chamber and everything that he's dealing with in his world. So I have seen it change him and impact our family in one of the most beautiful ways."
Rachel Cohen Booth, a senior policy correspondent for Vox who happens to be Jewish, admits she was stunned by Charlie Kirk's move toward observing a Sabbath as Jews do from from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset.
"I found this surprising – he was an outspoken evangelical Christian. I also found it unexpectedly moving," Booth wrote. "This famous Christian figure shared in the precious ritual that Jews like me all over the world have practiced for centuries."
In 2008, WorldNetDaily published an in-depth report on when precisely is God's Sabbath day to be observed, titled "Deception': Christians war over worship day."

Police sometimes arrest the wrong people. Usually, the officers figure out the mistake quickly and besides a huge amount awkwardness, there's little other damage.
Not always.
And now a federal judge has allowed a Texas woman's lawsuit against officers of the Broward County sheriff's office to move forward, withdrawing from them the ordinary immunity that officers mostly have.
According to the Institute for Justice, which is handling the case on behalf of Jennifer Heath Box, "In the opinion, Judge [Melissa] Damian wrote that it violates the Fourth Amendment to put the wrong person in jail when there are 'observable differences between the individual and the person described in the warrant and there was plenty of time for officers to verify the identity of the person being arrested but the officers ignored red flags and arrested the person anyways.'"
The ruling also said the deputies are not entitled to qualified immunity, a legal doctrine that shields government officials from being held liable when they violate someone's rights unless that right is "clearly established."
The ruling rejected the county's attempt to get the case dismissed.
"This Court finds that 11th Circuit case law provides several materially similar decisions that would provide the Deputies a fair warning that their conduct was unlawful," the judge said.
Box was arrested while getting off a cruise ship in Port Everglades following a family trip on Christmas Eve 2022, and spent three days in jail, before finally being released.
The IJ said, "Police had a warrant for a different Jennifer—Jennifer Delcarmen Heath—who was 23 years younger; five inches shorter; and had a different hair color, eye color, skin tone, social security number, and home address. Deputies Peter Peraza, Monica Jean, Jasmine Hines and Anthony Thorpe all at various points overlooked the evidence on the warrant which proved they had the wrong Jennifer, but moved forward with the arrest and detention anyway."
Box said she was pleased her case will move forward.
"When I was in jail, nobody would listen to me that they had arrested the wrong person, and now it feels like somebody is finally listening," she said.
The decision "makes it clear that when police overlook obvious evidence that they're arresting the wrong person, they'll be held accountable," said IJ Attorney Jared McClain. "Anyone who looked at Jennifer should have been able to tell she was not the person police wanted."

At least 100,000 people flooded the streets for London Saturday for a "Unite the Kingdom" rally, taking the opportunity to honor slain American civil rights leader Charlie Kirk in the process.
As Fox News reported, the rally was organized by activist Tommy Robinson, who said a video shown about Kirk was to thank and "honor the life of one of our generation's greatest." Elon Musk also appeared via video link and condemned the left as "the party of murder" following Kirk's death.
The tribute video included a viral clip of Kirk giving life advice to a 13-year-old girl at a Turning Point USA event.
Robinson billed the march as a demonstration for free speech, saying it was also held in defense of British heritage and culture, which many Brits say has been harmed by increased immigration into the U.K.
The American conservative icon, assassinated in Utah Wednesday, was "a man who inspired a generation of young men based on courage and based on faith," Robinson told the cheering crowd, which also sang Kirk's name.
"In honor of Charlie Kirk and in honor of freedom on the 13th we march," Robinson wrote in a social media post earlier in the week.
One demonstrator carried a sign reading, "Freedom of speech is dead. RIP Charlie Kirk," according to The Associated Press.
Demonstrators carried the St. George's red-and-white flag of England and the Union Jack. Many chanted, "We want our country back," Fox reported.
Police estimated the crowd at about 110,000 people, while organizers claimed the figure was in the millions. A rival protest drew about 5,000 marchers.
Musk condemned the murder of Kirk.
"You see how much violence there is on the left, with our friend Charlie Kirk getting murdered in cold blood this week, and people on the left celebrating it openly," Musk said. "The left is the party of murder."
Robinson claimed that migrants now had more rights in court than the "British public, the people that built this nation."
Added Musk, "You can't get to the truth without freedom of speech, without active debate. … the essence of democracy is a government for the people, by the people."
"I see a rapidly increasing erosion of Britain with massive, uncontrolled migration and a government that has failed in its duty to protect its citizens."
"Britain is at a fork in the road – to darkness or greatness – and that will be decided only in a matter of years."
Robinson posted a video on X that shows the massive size of the crowd:

A young redheaded TikTokker, who goes by Ellie May on X, posted a video hoping it would get in front of the eyes of President Trump – and it has. The president posted it on his Truth Social account Saturday afternoon.
The woman pleads with the president to spearhead the passage of "The Charlie Kirk Act," which would hold media companies accountable for lying to the American people.
She cites 2013 action by President Obama that repealed the 1948 Smit-Mundt Act, a law that prohibited propaganda in the media.
"Make it damn near impossible for these people to continue to lie to the American public, which has brought chaos, hatred and division all across the country," she says.
"Because of their hateful lies, a man has lost his life. … Force journalists to finally start telling the truth."
