It's certainly no secret that America's tech industry has been biased against President Donald Trump and in favor of his opponents, first Hillary Clinton, then Joe Biden and now Kamala Harris.

Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg even has confessed that he gave in to pressure from leftists in the government to skew his part of the industry.

Now there is a possibility that Google, one of the major players in the election interference industry, could be held accountable, if Trump is elected again.

report from the Washington Stand explains Google's "days of election interference may be drawing to a close."

It's because Trump has pledged to prosecute Google "for manipulating search results to benefit Democratic political candidates, should he retake the White House," the report said.

Trump online, explained, "It has been determined that Google has illegally used a system of only revealing and displaying bad stories about Donald J. Trump, some made up for this purpose while, at the same time, only revealing good stories about Comrade Kamala Harris. This is an ILLEGAL ACTIVITY, and hopefully the Justice Department will criminally prosecute them for this blatant Interference of Elections."

He said if that doesn't happen, "and subject to the Laws of our Country, I will request their prosecution, at the maximum levels, when I win the Election, and become President of the United States!"

The Media Research Center, among others, has documented that Google has been manipulating and altering search results to promote Vice President Kamala Harris and hurt Trump.

"Researchers used Google to search for both 'Donald Trump Presidential Race 2024' and 'Kamala Harris Presidential Race 2024' and found that Google listed Harris's campaign website higher in search results than Trump's campaign website. Google also promoted news websites — such as CNN, NBC, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Politico, and The Economist — which have a left-wing bias and provided negative coverage of Trump's campaign and policies and favorable coverage of Harris's campaign and policies.," the report explained.

Tim Graham, of the MRC's Newsbusters division, explained in the report, "This is not neutral, there are snotty headlines and opinion pieces. Writers highlight negatives for both campaigns but suggest Harris is not an ideologue, and that Trump is very divisive. Apparently, Democrats can say the worst things about Trump and his supporters and it's never viewed as divisive. It's merely implied that it's accurate."

In fact, the MRC has reported that Google "interfered" in elections more than 40 times since 2008.

Google  "worked hard" for Barack Obama's campaigns in 2008 and 2012, and Clinton's in 2016, the report said.

The corporate giant even has listed "Nazism" as a "related search" to Republican organizations.

And the report pointed out, "Google also blocked and blacklisted news sources it deemed too conservative, including MRC's NewsBusters, the Daily Caller, The Christian Post, and Catholic News Agency."

In this year's contest, "Google has worked with the Harris campaign to attach campaign ads to news results, altering headlines to make it appear that major news outlets like the Associated Press, USA Today, The Guardian, The Independent, Time Magazine, NPR, PBS, CNN, CBS News, and others are endorsing or promoting Harris's presidential campaign," the report said.

One victim of the campaign, WDAY Radio in North Dakota, is reviewing legal action over the falsehoods.

It's not Google's only headache. Just weeks ago a federal court determined that Google was operating as an illegal monopoly and was controlling the search engine and search engine advertising markets.

Over the last few years, the Biden-Harris regime effectively has delivered to the rogue and terrorist-sponsoring regime in Iran some $60 billion.

In return, the Islamists there have started war against Israel through proxies Hamas and Hezbollah, closed off the Suez Canal and fired on American troops in the region more than 150 times.

So beyond the obvious financial incentives, are there any other reasons that Iran is now interfering in America's 2024 presidential election on behalf of Kamala Harris?

That's a topic addressed by Majid Rafizadeh, a business strategist, Harvard-educated scholar, political scientist and board member of Harvard International Review, at the Gatestone Institute.

He warns there is.

"That the Iranian regime is meddling in U.S. elections to support the Harris campaign, should serve as a jarring warning that Harris' approach to Iran policy is one that would enable this expansionist regime to keep wreaking horrors on the world, both by itself and through its proxies, especially after it acquires nuclear capability. Why should Iran's government, which treats its own people atrociously, be expected to treat others any better?" he wrote.

He said, "In a significant move that, since the establishment of Iran's Islamist regime, Iranian leaders have actively extended their influence to support a political party and candidate in a U.S. presidential race. This notable intervention is directed towards aiding the Democratic ticket headed by Vice President Kamala Harris. It is a move that signals that Iran's regime hopes to secure an even deeper geopolitical alignment after the upcoming U.S. elections."

The FBI, in fact, recently brought a criminal case against agents for the Iranian regime suspected of hacking into President Donald Trump's campaign and then delivering that information to Democrats.

"A particularly striking element of this revelation is the Democratic campaign's silence regarding the stolen information. Despite having received the data that originated from the Trump campaign, the Democratic camp refrained from acknowledging it until the FBI publicly disclosed the fact on September 18. On September 19, the Harris campaign finally responded, pointing out that it had not utilized any materials that Iranian hackers had allegedly collected from Trump's email accounts," he wrote.

Trump immediately demanded accountability, and that Harris "come clean."

The article explained adding intrigue is the apparent desire of the Iranian regime to align with the Democrat party.

"There appear to be several underlying reasons why Tehran favors a Harris victory. First, Harris would likely continue the current administration's extremely lenient approach to enforcing sanctions on Iran. Under the current U.S. administration, Iran has been able to sell oil at record levels and engage in lucrative trade with European nations – exponentiating Iran's revenues.

"Second, the Iranian regime anticipates that billions of dollars will continue to be released under a Harris administration. In the past four years, significant funds, nearly $60 billion, have effectively been given to Iran's mullahs by the Biden-Harris administration."

He said, "Third, the Iranian regime must be ecstatic over on Harris' reluctance to confront their galloping advancements in nuclear technology. Iran's nuclear program reached its highest level of progress under the Biden-Harris administration."

And finally, he noted, Iran would expect a Harris presidency to "remain passive in response to Tehran's military support for Russia in the ongoing war against Ukraine."

Have hundreds of hidden biblical prophecies just been unsealed?

An explosive new book says the answer is yes, as it analyzes countless Scriptures in a fresh light to unlock "the mystery of everything."

In "Reaching God Speed," best-selling author Joe Kovacs goes on a breakthrough mission, cracking the divine code on hundreds of Bible passages – both well-known and obscure – to reveal the higher meaning of the verses, going beyond the obvious physical meaning to shine light on what God is broadcasting on the Spirit level, what he calls the incredibly quick and alive "God speed."

"The reason we're so oblivious is because we've all been operating at human speed, relying on our own physical power and our five senses. But there is something extremely important we've all been missing. It holds the key to everything good – the key to life, success, happiness, peace of mind and understanding beyond our wildest imagination. It's perhaps the best-kept secret in the history of mankind and it packs a staggering, invigorating message about our own personal lives and futures being broadcast on all frequencies. All we have to do is open our eyes and ears."

What is God speed?

Kovacs explains, "It's the template revealing the way the Creator of the universe thinks, operates and teaches, having a mind that runs above and beyond the human speed at which all of us regular folk in the flesh naturally think. It is the higher speed or spirit level at which God broadcasts to us, embedding His message in everything."

He says millions of people already understand God speed to some degree, pointing to a simple example.

"Most everyone already knows that when Jesus tells His apostle Peter to feed His sheep, He is NOT talking about a group of physical animals penned up behind His house that need to be fed.

"He's talking about providing His followers the spiritual food they need to grow toward eternal life, because the sheep actually represent PEOPLE. This same approach of listening beyond the physical and hearing things on another level, the spirit level, can be applied to the entire Bible, opening up countless Scriptures to amazing, new understanding."

One famous Bible story to help illustrate the higher level of God speed involves a woman about to be stoned after being caught in adultery, and Jesus writing something mysterious in the dust as He forgives her. It's found in the eighth chapter of the Gospel of John.

"This single event features a real-life woman some 2,000 years ago being forgiven of her sin," Kovacs explains. "And when we listen at God speed, there's so much more being broadcast on the spirit level. The adulterous woman represents all of humanity, as she embodies all of us who have sinned against our true spouse, who is God Himself."

But why was Jesus writing with His finger in the dust? And what might He have been writing?

"We need to use the tools the Bible itself gives us to help us understand the spirit message being broadcast at God speed," explains Kovacs. "First of all, 'dust' is not something insignificant. In fact, it's one of the most important words in all of Scripture, because it's what we're all made of, 'the dust of the ground,' as it says in Genesis 2:7. So at God speed, dust refers to human people in the flesh."

"Then we need to ask ourselves, 'Where else in the Bible does God write something very famous with His own finger?' Here are a couple of hints. There are ten of them and they were given to Moses. Yes, the Ten Commandments, as is mentioned in Deuteronomy 9:10.

"Then connect the Creator's written law to other promises where God says He's writing something, including:

I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts. (Jeremiah 31:33)

I will write on them the name of my God … . And I will also write on them my new name. (Revelation 3:12 NLT)

"So it's possible or even likely that Jesus is using this spectacular teaching moment of the forgiven adulterous woman to let us all know He's going to be writing His laws and instructions on people (the dust of the ground), etching them inside minds and hearts, with the end result of people receiving the name of God written on them. In other words, Jesus is telegraphing the future, providing us a visual preview of awesome things to come by writing on the dust with His finger."

"The Bible also says when the accusers of the adulterous woman HEARD, as in finally hearing the message of God, being convicted and corrected in their hearts, they're no longer accusing anyone. It's not only describing the physical event from 2,000 years ago, it's a prophecy for the future. Because once God writes His instructions on everyone's heart, there won't be anyone left to accuse others of wrongdoing. People will finally get with the divine program."

"God actually promises this elsewhere in Scripture, including in the Book of Ezekiel: 'And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.'" (Ezekiel 36:26 NLT)

"It's simply mind-blowing when we realize that God is always 'declaring the end from the beginning' as He said about Himself in Isaiah 46:10. He tells everyone the end result of events right from the start, so we know exactly what to expect, realizing He's the Teacher in charge of this class and the One controlling everything."

Kovacs is confident even readers with little previous knowledge of Scripture will finally know the secrets of famous Bible events, including mysteries the so-called "experts" have little clue about.

"Reaching God Speed" features a myriad of stunning biblical revelations, as the book:

  • Illuminates the reason the darkness of night will ultimately be eliminated, and only never-ending light will exist
  • Discloses the amazing reason Revelation says Jesus was crucified in Sodom and Egypt, while the gospels indicate he was executed at Jerusalem
  • Broadcasts the never-before-trumpeted meaning of the Exodus out of Egypt. The ancient event in the days of Moses is actually a picture of something tremendous and glorious that's still to come in your future
  • Explains the incredible meaning behind serpents crawling on their bellies
  • Dishes the astounding secret behind the Second Passover, and the fantastic future it holds for billions of people
  • Solves with clarity three of the greatest mysteries in Scripture, unveiling the surprisingly simple meaning of "the beast," "the number of the beast" and "the mark of the beast"
  • Investigates the double meaning concerning "Doubting Thomas," and the stunning good news it contains for everyone who's ever doubted God or any Bible story
  • Announces the unheard, spirit meaning regarding raising children
  • Shines the light on why ancient Egyptians were paralyzed with three straight days of darkness, while God's people in Goshen had light in their dwellings
  • Illuminates the surprising and inspiring meaning of a "darkness that can be felt" (Hint: it's something you can do right this second)
  • Explains what Jesus specifically meant by "outer darkness"
  • Clearly reveals why the Bible repeatedly mentions pagan peoples such as Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, Girgashites, Jebusites and Hivites. It goes far beyond these ancient tribes with tough-to-pronounce names, as it actually refers to certain people alive today with whom you deal every day
  • Tells why Scripture so often talks about thorns and thistles. They're far more than just sharp prickers growing in your garden
  • Explores the untold meaning of the conflict between David and Goliath: it has gigantic significance that Sunday-school teachers seem to have missed
  • Fishes out astonishing secret messages God has embedded in the famous story of Jonah being swallowed by a great fish. The scales will finally fall off your eyes when you finally see what you've been missing
  • Easily explains how God embeds hidden messages forecasting the future in the physical, historical events recorded in Scripture
  • Examines the miracle of turning water into wine at a wedding, revealing why this famous event took place "on the third day," why water was poured into six large containers, and why its instant transformation into the most perfect wine has a sublime meaning that goes far beyond what anyone has ever discussed
  • Unwraps the secret messages concerning the human birth of God, including the spirit significance of Jesus in a manger, the real reason the shepherds "returned," and the never-trumpeted, majestic picture the entire story depicts for your own glorious future
  • Unmasks the miracle of the blind man healed by washing mud off his eyes. Clue: There's something intriguing about the mud that becomes obvious when we connect the dots in Scripture
  • Reveals the incredible reason the Bible constantly mentions "three days" in both the Old and New Testaments. It goes far beyond the time Jesus spent in the heart of the earth.
  • Unveils the sublime, additional meanings emanating from "Let there be light" and "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." There's much more to the beginning than you've ever imagined. Plus hundreds more …

Besides Scripture itself, the book also probes God's hidden messages embedded in popular movies, hit songs (from Adele and the Beatles to Frank Sinatra and Led Zeppelin), the stories we tell our children, everyday phrases we all say, famous commercial campaigns, historic news events, nature itself, and typical life activities such as inhaling every breath you take, sleeping, waking up and many more.

"Reaching God Speed" hit the top spot in Amazon categories such as "Musical Philosophy & Social Aspects" as well as #1 and #2 (Kindle edition) in Spiritual Self-Help, and #5 and #11 in Christian Personal Growth.

JERUSALEM – Iran's leaders responded Sunday to the elimination of Hezbollah General Secretary Hassan Nasrallah in a massive Israeli airstrike Friday, with two linked announcements; the first a declaration of a five-day memorial period, and the second a well-worn refrain, "the blood of our martyrs will not go unavenged."

It was ironic that Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei made these statements shortly before being whisked off to a secure location for fear Israel will take the battle directly to Tehran. While there are some who might advocate for this, it is not at all straightforward to understand exactly what the benefit of this would be.

Taking out leaders of terrorist organizations is one thing; assassinating the sitting president of another country is another altogether. However, it is instructive how off-balance Khamanei and his coterie are, because they cannot be sure how deeply Israeli intelligence has penetrated.

Also killed alongside Nasrallah was IRGC Deputy Commander Abbas Nilforousha, against whom the United States imposed sanctions in 2022, due to his suppression of protests in the wake of the death of Mahsa Amini following her arrest for allegedly not wearing her headscarf to the police's liking. His death, according to the Iranians, would also not go unpunished.

It is a threat Israel – and the United States on the assassination of Qassem Soleimani – have heard before, and there is a danger it will be viewed in Jerusalem and other parts of the Middle East, as posturing with diminishing returns. Iran vowed to avenge the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh too, who was killed along with his bodyguard, in an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) compound – a sort of Iranian version of the Blair House – at the end of July.

Haniyeh was in Tehran as an honored guest of the Islamic Republic, and was in attendance at the swearing in of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. His death – and the manner of his demise – was a moment of deep humiliation and shame for the Iranian regime. However, two months later, the retribution Tehran promised has not yet materialized, even if the U.S. did move another aircraft carrier and F-22 Raptor strike group into the eastern Mediterranean.

The relationship between Haniyeh and Hamas, and Nasrallah and Hezbollah cannot exactly be equated. Hamas as an off-shoot of the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood with its origins in Egypt was very much considered a junior partner in the terrorist groups, which are attempting to encircle Israel in a so-called "ring of fire," with Tehran pulling the strings.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah was viewed as a much more critical component of Iran's long-term strategy toward Israel; particularly its usefulness – due to its missile arsenal – as a buffer against potential Israeli adventurism vis-a-vis Iran's nuclear program.

What will Iran do?

While Khamenei is Iran's undisputed leader, there is a spectrum of opinions among the country's leadership. More conservative hardliners advocate for a direct response to Israel's elimination of Nasrallah and nearly all of Hezbollah's top brass – as well as senior IRGC figures – while the more moderate voices counsel against such action.

There are different schools of thought as to which stratagem will be employed. Iran could go for a direct attack, like the April 13 ballistic missile and drone strike, which ended up a bit of a damp squib – repelled as it was by a combination of the U.S., Israel, the United Kingdom, France, and others, as well as many projectiles, which failed to make it out of Iranian airspace.

In the interim at least, it's likely Iran's proxies, including the Houthi in Yemen, pro-Iranian forces in Iraq and Syria, and even Hezbollah, will want to force as much of Israel's populace as it can to scamper for shelter from incoming missiles.

Iran could also take a longer view and create the conditions for a war of attrition. It might conclude it lasted nearly a decade in the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s, it could do the same again, and with potentially less threat to its civilian population than that war. That would also not be in Israel's favor, which might be another reason Tehran could think of doing it.

Reporting in 2024 isn't what it was in 1974. Or even 1994.

Now the megacorporations that run networks and publications mostly are partisan – endorsing and promoting one side, the leftist side, of the news.

Some journalism teachers at universities have even said there's no need to report on "both sides" of an issue and ex-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently presumptuously instructed a network on what it should and should not be covering.

That often has left the reporting to online websites, citizen reporters and more.

And that faction just won a court victory.

The Institute for Justice explains a Texas court has ruled that a Fort Bend citizen journalist's First Amendment rights were violated by the county sheriff.

A federal court for the Southern District in the state found that the sheriff in Fort Bend County violated Justin Pulliam's rights by excluding him from a news conference in a public park that he was trying to record for his YouTube channel.

It was Judge George C. Hanks Jr. who adopted in full a recommendation from Magistrate Judge Andrew Edison.

His decision pointedly noted, "On July 12, 2021, the FBCSO closed Jones Creek Ranch Park to the public after a corpse was discovered. Pulliam had been filming FBCSO activity in the park before the decision to close the park was announced. After being told the FBCSO had closed the park, Pulliam complained to the FBCSO officer who announced the decision, and to [Sheriff Eric] Fagan directly. The FBCSO officer told Pulliam to go to the park entrance where a press conference would be held. Fagan then told Pulliam that if Pulliam did not go to the park entrance within five minutes, he would be arrested. Pulliam again protested, but eventually walked to his truck and drove to the park entrance where reporters were gathered. Pulliam parked his truck about 10 parking spaces away from where the reporters had parked their cars. About five minutes later, Fagan arrived at the press conference in a golf cart. Pulliam then walked toward the press conference. As Pulliam approached, Fagan told FBCSO Detective Robert Hartfield ('Hartfield') to remove Pulliam from the area of the press conference. Fagan pointed at Pulliam and told Hartfield: 'If he don't do it, arrest him, 'cause he is not part of the local media, so he have to go back.'"

The conclusion was that not only that Fort Bend County violated Justin's free-speech rights, but that his rights were so clearly established that Sheriff Fagan has no "qualified immunity," which the IJ described as "a dubious doctrine the Supreme Court developed to shield officials from accountability for their constitutional violations."

The IJ said the ruling also lets a separate claim for false arrest while Justin was recording deputies move to trial.

"Today's victory establishes that the government cannot give favorable access to the traditional media by discriminating against social-media journalists," said IJ Attorney Christie Herbert. "To the First Amendment, all speakers are equal, a bedrock principle necessary for twenty-first-century journalism."

A second incident developed months later, when a Fort Bend County sergeant arrested Justin for interfering with police, "even though Justin was far from the active scene and had permission from the property owner to record a welfare check on her property," the IJ reported.

"This victory shows how important the First Amendment is to protect investigative journalists like me who use social media to provide hard-hitting, often critical coverage, of the police and other government officials," said Justin.

IJ officials pointed out that just weeks ago, the U.S. Supreme Court said police cannot arrest people for exercising their right to free speech."

The ruling said, "That Fagan's actions violated Pulliam's First Amendment rights was established by the Supreme Court decades ago: 'Once a forum is opened up to assembly or speaking by some groups, government may not prohibit others from assembling or speaking on the basis of what they intend to say.' 'Freedom of the press is a fundamental personal right which is not confined to newspapers and periodicals.' 'Where a government restricts the speech of a private person, the state action may be sustained only if the government can show that the regulation is a precisely drawn means of serving a compelling state interest.' 'The First Amendment also protects Pulliam's right to simply listen and observe the press conference. 'The First Amendment protects the right to hear as well as to speak,' so that which 'silences a willing speaker … also works a constitutional injury against the hearer.'"

It found, "There is no question that Fagan violated clearly established law."

A trial still is pending on Pulliam's false arrest charges against authorities.

Imagine trying to explain to your children that their grandmother is a criminal because she was giving food to the needy.

Strange?

That's the result of a federal court decision in Arizona.

The Institute for Justice reports a new ruling from U.S. district court there concluded that a law in Bullhead City, Arizona, that makes it a crime to share food in public parks for "charitable purposes" is constitutional.

Norma Thornton, a grandmother, and the Institute for Justice say they will be appealing the decision.

Citing "illegal behavior," "human waste, litter, trash and other debris" the city imposed a permit requirement for giving away food, in order to "protect" the public and avoid the "deterioration" of public property," and decided, "It is unlawful for any person or organization to sponsor, promote or engage in a food sharing event at a public park in violation of the provisions of this chapter. Any violation of this chapter is a class 2 misdemeanor."

Thornton was arrested in March 2022 for feeding people in Community Park. and she and the IJ lawyers working with her said an appeal will be pursued.

"Americans have a constitutional right to engage in charitable activities and cities can't pass laws that outlaw doing so," said IJ lawyer Paul Avelar. "The district court failed to grapple with the fact that charity is deeply rooted in American history, and we look forward to proving to the appeals court that Bullhead City's actions criminalizing charity violate Norma's right to help others."

The court, in fact, claimed "the right to serve one's community, while important, is not a fundamental right."

Thornton has handed out food for decades, and when she retired to Bullhead City she wanted to continue.

"Being told that I cannot feed the hungry is absolutely heartbreaking to me, which is why I will continue fighting against this unjust law," she explained. "All I want to do is help people in my community, so they can survive and get back on their feet. It makes no sense for the city to prevent me from doing so."

The legal team noted that the city's "permit" requirement really is a ban, as "obtaining a permit is expensive and, even with a permit, the city allows people to share food only once per month."

Further, the restriction applies only to those sharing food for "charitable purposes."

"Norma is allowed to throw a pizza party in Community Park for 50 of her friends without limitation. But once she offers food for charity, she runs afoul of the ordinance. Each violation of the law is punishable with a fine of up to $1,431, 120 days in jail and 24 months of probation."

The decision is from Judge Susan M. Brnovich, who alleged there is a "rational basis for regulating food sharing events for charitable purposes differently than other food sharing events."

During the city's banishment of her charity, she has been using about half her income to feed some 30 people a day in an alley behind a jet ski shop that has no shade, tables, or restrooms.

The alarm is being sounded about large numbers of illegal aliens being allowed to vote in the upcoming presidential election, with former President Donald Trump's son warning of "forces that are not looking to do the right thing."

Appearing on "Sunday Morning Futures" on the Fox News Channel, Donald Trump Jr. said, "We're up against a lot of forces that are not looking to do the right thing, they're looking to try to literally give illegal aliens, you know, the right to vote.

"They're looking to let them get away with it. It's not really a crime … if you didn't know, so wink, wink, wink, show up and vote."

Trump Jr. indicated the problem Republicans are facing is many states are run by Democrats who have little interest in election integrity.

"If you have a leftist/Democrat state legislature, there's is only so many things you're going to do," he explained. "Even in Alabama this week I guess the DOJ is suing because they don't want to remove 4,000 people that they know are actually noncitizens that are on the voter rolls. I mean, that's the Democrat party doing this.

"They don't want to take people who are known noncitizens, people who are legally not allowed to vote, they want to make sure we can't take them off the roster. That kind of stuff happens every day. That's happening everywhere.

"The amount of lawfare that they're able to put into this, the millions and millions that are funded to it, I mean, you know, it's not just fund raising in campaigns where they can dwarf us because of [George] Soros or whoever it may be. They do that in each and every instance."

The former president's son says such problems are occurring "across the board," and he's received calls from the likes of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, saying, "Hey, they're giving them ID cards, and they're registering them to vote and just hoping that no one has the time to catch it all."

Trump Jr. said: "They're playing whatever games they can imagine. They're flaunting it before the American people. It's absolutely disgusting, but we should be accustomed to that now from the Democrat party because they are not the party of putting Americans first. They've ostracized so many of their normal demographics that would have been reliable Democrat voters.

"So rather than actually do what's good for those people and the rest of the American people, they have said, you know what? We're just going to replace you by bringing in 20 million if unknown, unvetted, some of whom who are murderers and rapists, many of whom frankly at this point, and that's how they're going to handle the situation.

"Honestly, it's laughable if it wasn't happening in America right now. It's truly disgusting."

JERUSALEM – Once the confirmation of Hezbollah leader's Sayyid Hassan Nassrallah's death was confirmed on Saturday, a wave of conflicting emotions and opinions were evident across the world, although most importantly and relevantly in the Middle East. The principal question of "what next?" was also very much to the fore.

In the all the brouhaha surrounding the death of an arch-terrorist, drug pusher and murderer – for what was Hezbollah if not a hugely powerful cartel – we should pause for a moment and understand just how extraordinary the last two weeks or so have been for Israel, Lebanon, and the entire Middle East.

On Sept. 17, thousands of beepers in the hands of Hezbollah terrorists – mostly in Lebanon but also Syria – simultaneously detonated causing a range of wounds, from minor injuries to blindness, amputations, and even death. Attributed to Israel's Mossad intelligence agency – although not officially confirmed – this operation set in motion the chain of events, which culminated in Nasrallah's demise.

If the so-called "Grim Beeper operation" did not seem extraordinary enough, it was followed a day later with similar explosions in the walkie-talkies and other electronic devices of Hezbollah operatives. In both instances, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commanders were also hit, highlighting the level of coordination between a state actor, Iran, and a lethal non-state actor, such as Hezbollah.

It rocked the terrorist proxy on its heels, and one can only imagine the amount of confusion and suspicion, which emanated from such an attack. The organization shifted to pagers and walkie-talkies for fear of Israeli intelligence intercepting cell phone calls – and then the lower-tech option was used as a weapon against them.

The distrust Hezbollah and IRGC kingpins had of their electronic communications forced them to meet – like mafia dons – in person, to try and thrash out a response to Israel's intelligence successes. It would prove their downfall, as Israel either gained or already had significant and accurate intel about Hezbollah's leaders, up to and including Nasrallah.

He personally must have felt in the last two weeks it was just a matter of time until his number came up. And here's the thing, there was no unanimity within Israel's cabinet as to the decision to take him out. Even a figure such as Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, no Arab-lover, was reportedly somewhat uneasy about eliminating Nasrallah, presumably fearful – and correctly so – of the reprisals that might emanate from this action.

What has been clear for the last two weeks is just how compromised Hezbollah's internal security has become. From an outsider's perspective it doesn't seem possible to achieve the extent of the disruption Israel has caused without a level of superior intelligence, including infiltrating deeply into Hezbollah's organizational structure.

It's important to also point out the role the IDF's Northern Command has played in tandem with the intelligence services. Since Oct. 8, when Hezbollah decided to join in a somewhat limited way Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar's so-called "Al-Aqsa flood" operation, the IDF, while concentrating largely on Gaza and the need to dismantle terrorist battalions there, did not neglect the northern arena.

Even before the operations of the last two weeks, Israel's military eliminated some 450 Hezbollah and IRGC operatives, including senior field commanders with significant battlefield experience. The Israeli Air Force also worked to hit the supply lines carrying materiel from Iran or Iranian-aligned proxies in Iraq or Syria to be closer to the Lebanese front.

What can be seen from the reactions to Nasrallah's demise is an odd alignment of people – commentators, so-called journalists, and politicians – who decry Israel's actions labeling it "an escalation," conveniently forgetting the thousands of rockets fired at the country's north and the tens of thousands of displaced citizens because of it. There is a certain level of myopia and cravenness, which allowed the Associated Press to label Nasrallah as "charismatic and shrewd." It brings to mind the Washington Post's description of Abu Bakr al-Baghdai as an "austere religious scholar." (The Post followed that up with labeling Nasrallah a "father figure, and moral compass.")

The fawning over honest-to-goodness murderers, thieves, and terrorists, is a sickness the West is having a hard time dealing with. For its own long-term survival it would do well to drop the suicidal empathy, which permits formerly respected news institutions – among others – to wax lyrical about some truly terrible human beings.

Let us recall, also, those civilians were not just evacuated because of the rockets, but for fears, subsequently confirmed, which showed Hezbollah's powerful Radwan force was planning an Oct. 7-style attack on the Galilee. Although the terrain is much craggier and difficult along the Israel-Lebanon border, a remnant of distant tectonic shifts in the Great Syrian-African Rift than the sand dunes along the Mediterranean coast, it is well-known Hezbollah invested huge sums in creating cross-border attack tunnels.

However, for millions of Middle Easterners, Syrians, Iraqis, and Lebanese – the people who witnessed and suffered from Hezbollah's brutality – let's call it their lived experience – were exultant at the news of Nasrallah's demise. A feeling of hope has begun to germinate, a tiny flame radiating some light and a sense of opportunity, a belief that a fog has been lifted.

Jared Kushner, former President Donald Trump's son-in-law, and a person who was intimately involved in jettisoning the assumptions of the past and looking at the Middle East anew, posted a rare comment on X. He wrote: "Sept. 27 is the most important day in the Middle East since the Abraham Accords breakthrough."

Kushner was also perfectly blunt in his assessment of the mealy-mouthed and cowardly stance of the Biden-Harris administration in general, and the U.S. State Department in particular: "Anyone who has been calling for a ceasefire in the North is wrong. There is no going back for Israel. They cannot afford now to not finish the job and completely dismantle the arsenal that has been aimed at them. They will never get another chance."

There are still many unanswered questions and several imponderables. Will Lebanon be allowed to coalesce around some unity figures so the country can remove itself from the grip of Shia terrorists who wish to lead it down the path to hell? What will Iran and its proxies' response be?

The Houthi already fired a ballistic missile Saturday toward Ben Gurion International Airport near Lod – ironically a significantly mixed Jewish and Arab city. Will Israel perform a limited ground incursion into southern Lebanon to drive Hezbollah operatives – and their missiles – back over the Litani river and farther away from Israel's population centers (although some of their ordnance has a range of several hundreds kilometers, bringing the entire country into range)?

Outside of the immediate reality of the Middle East, what will be with the relationship between the United States and Israel? There were reports, similar to other operations the Jewish state has carried out, it neither sought permission nor informed U.S. officials until the planes were already in the air to destroy Hezbollah's underground HQ.

Two simultaneous things seem to be at work; the first is there is a frosty relationship (at best) between Israel's leaders – particularly Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – and the Biden administration, including the titular head of that government President Joe Biden, and the U.S. State Department. What is an ally to make of the situation when the sitting president has been reduced, due to the machinations and needs of his own political party, to a bit-part player? Biden is the lamest of lame ducks; a person whom we know is propped up by an avaricious and grasping wife, and a party that cannot 25th Amendment him, for fear his failings will be too closely associated with his anointed successor, Vice President Kamala Harris.

In addition to the cooling of personal relations, there is also very clear a lack of trust between Israel's defense establishment and its U.S. counterparts – and with good reason. Too often plans have either been leaked or telegraphed, and at times the Biden administration has brought undue pressure to bear on its ally, rather than the genocidal terrorists arrayed against it.

The same thing happened right before the strike that knocked out the head of Hezbollah. Perhaps the U.S. and France heard some chatter about a potential attempt on Nasrallha's life; perhaps they put two and two together, assuming if Israel was going after Hezbollah's top-most leadership, Nasrallah would be the ace in the pack, even if they were not sure Israel would assuredly go for it. It did, and it's conducting operations, which provide hope for millions in the Middle East, unconstrained by American timidity.

Kamala Harris openly has proposed destroying the longtime Senate precedent of a filibuster, that requirement that issues earn the support of 60 senators before they can advance.

Harris has speculated about killing that rule for a specific purpose, to establish abortion for all as the standard for the entirety of America.

But it wouldn't stop there, according to an analysis by Christopher Jacobs in the Federalist.

If she can destroy the filibuster for one of her ideologies, she can for anything, is the warning.

"Harris' announcement that she supports an 'exception' to the filibuster underscores the stakes in November's election. If Democrats gain unified control of both houses of Congress and the White House in January, Harris' statement makes clear that they would undoubtedly use their power to pass radical legislation — not just on abortion but on energy and many other topics," according to the analysis.

"At the risk of mixing metaphors during a discussion of abortion policy, one cannot be half-pregnant when it comes to the Senate filibuster. Harris' talk of an 'exception' masks what is ultimately a binary choice: You either support the legislative filibuster or you don't."

The history of Democrats' efforts to undermine that standard already is in the books.

In 2013 Democrats in the majority abolished the filibuster for presidential nominees, in executive branch offices and lower court judges.

Those were the exceptions, they decided, because they still wanted the filibuster for Supreme Court justices.

That lasted "until … the next vacancy on the Supreme Court, whereupon Republicans, who by then had retaken the Senate, abolished the Senate filibuster for presidential nominees entirely."

"When she says, 'We should eliminate the filibuster.' She doesn't just mean 'for [codifying] Roe [v. Wade],' she means for anything that gets in Democrats' way," the analysis warned.

Her plan already has been undermined by Sen. Joe Manchin, formerly a Democrat now an independent of West Virginia.

He called the filibuster the "Holy Grail of democracy."

Manchin said the danger is the filibuster is "the only thing that keeps us talking and working together" in the Senate.

Already, Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., has suggested twisting the rules for "voting rights, women's rights, workers' rights, common sense gun measures" and more.

The analysis warned, "Voters now should understand the stakes — and vote accordingly."

A specialty foundation, the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, unabashedly supports, free speech, academic freedom, religious liberty, due process, press freedom, freedom of assembly, freedom of conscience and more, mostly in the campus community.

You know, those items that are listed as being protected mostly by the First Amendment.

And it acknowledges there are many individuals who are grateful for a college education and are willing to support academia financially.

But the problem is that many major universities these days impose wildly extreme speech codes, from campuses where "free speech" is restricted to small plots of out-of-the-way grass to sites where expressing an opinion will get you in trouble if it's not what administrators believe.

So it is offering those education supporters a novel way to do that: support education. And yet not fund censorship of students or faculty.

By donating to the foundation.

The foundation continued, "It's no secret that America's colleges and universities struggle to uphold a foundational constitutional right: Freedom of expression. FIRE's 2025 College Free Speech Rankings show that roughly a quarter of students think it is not clear that their administration protects free speech on campus. And if a free speech controversy were to erupt? More than a quarter believe their administration would be unlikely to defend a speaker's right to express their views."

Explaining institutions of higher education should be "bastions of free speech," the report notes they are not.

Now it is those alums, "frequent recipients of university solicitation mailers with return envelopes postmarked for donations," who are in a "unique position to speak with their wallets."

"If you currently donate to a university that violates free speech … consider making a contribution to FIRE instead. When you do, we will notify the school that until it fully protects individual rights on campus, it will no longer earn your charitable support. Your identity and contribution will, of course, be kept strictly anonymous."

It also is offering to assist schools where officials want to come into alignment with First Amendment principles.

The report cited a comment from an American University student, "Conservatives are slammed on this campus for simply just having opposing views. Disgraceful. A professor of mine nearly got fired for just expressing how he felt about topics but wasn't being offensive."

The foundation promised if the Constitution protects it, it will defend it.

"We defend speech based on principle, not viewpoint, because we don't have an ideological axe to grind."
