Chelsea Clinton is firing back against what she calls "lies" and "absurd claims" that she was gifted $84 million from USAID, the United States Agency for International Development.
"Lies and conspiracies about my family and me are nothing new. Still, I am particularly troubled by the absurd claims that continue to pervade social media this week, fact checks be damned," the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, wrote Monday on X.
"Facts: I'm proud of the Clinton Foundation work that has helped tens of millions of people worldwide. Our impact speaks for itself. I don't take a cent from the Foundation. Never have. In fact, my family personally contributes meaningfully to our work each year.
"Misinformation isn't just noise – it's a weapon. Efforts to undermine good work won't stop us, and we stand in solidarity with those who are committed to truth, public health, progress, and the endless potential of our future."
WND reported last week how Elon Musk, the head of DOGE, the Department of Governmental Efficiency, posted and then deleted a "Wow" reaction to claims Chelsea allegedly received some $84 million in U.S. taxpayer funding.
"USAID gave Chelsea Clinton tens of millions of dollars and partnered with their sex trafficking organization The Clinton Foundation," wrote author and journalist Liz Crokin on X.
"In 2010, then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton helped oversee $4.4 billion that Congress had earmarked for 'recovery' efforts in Haiti by the USAID in 2010."
Crokin continued: "The level of corruption and criminality – including crimes that are deemed capital offenses with death penalty as a potential punishment – are astounding and unprecedented.
"We must demand accountability and justice for these crimes."
The left-leaning so-called fact-checker Snopes.com indicated the claim Chelsea herself had received the money directly was false.
"A graph that social media users claimed showed Chelsea Clinton received $84 million from USAID is actually a reference to the Clinton Foundation," it wrote.
"Further, government data from fiscal years 2008-24 showed that USAID had not given more than $7.5 million to that foundation. Finally, tax returns show Chelsea Clinton does not receive any compensation for her work at the foundation."
However, Britain's Daily Mail reports: "But even though Snopes clarified that Chelsea hadn't received direct compensation, the Clinton Foundation has received financial awards from the U.S. government, such as in 2010 when the were granted $49,998 for AmeriCorps National.
"And AmeriCorps has roots in the Clinton Foundation, as former-President Bill Clinton signed the National and Community Trust Act of 1993 that brought the federal organization to life.
"USAID also gave money to the Clinton Health Access Initiative, a self-run off-shoot of the Clinton Foundation, totaling $7.49million – spending the majority of it between 2019 to 2021."
Chelsea Clinton's post on Monday is getting fierce reaction.

Why did foreign governments and corporations pour millions into it while she was Secretary of State? Why did internal audits and whistleblower reports raise serious concerns about financial mismanagement?
"Americans have every right to question an organization with a history of blurred ethical lines and special treatment for donors. Instead of dismissing criticism as 'lies' and 'absurd claims,' perhaps some real accountability is in order. Your family's legacy isn't one of transparency or public service – it's one of influence-peddling and backroom deals.
"And let's not pretend you're just an innocent bystander. You've personally benefited from the Clinton name, and your attempts to silence critics with moral posturing won't change the facts. Chuck Schumer, the leader of the minority Democrats in the Senate, has created a tipline for concerned Americans to expose "corruption, abuses of power, and threats to public safety."
His name was just about the first to show up.
He announced his tipline, offering whistleblower protections, this week: "Today, I'm calling on our brave public servants: I'm launching a new portal for anyone who wants to expose corruption, abuses of power, and threats to public safety with the legal protections of being a whistleblower."
His own name immediately appeared, as he was called out for standing on the steps of the Supreme Court during a pro-abortion rally, and screaming threats at Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.
He threatened they would "pay the price" if their decisions didn't make him happy.
Commentator Katie Pavlich also submitted his name.
As did Mollie Hemingway, of the Federalist.
Elon Musk joined.
Schumer's actual threat to the two justices was, "I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price! You won't know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions."
Fox News reported others were mentioned as suspects, too.
They included Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and "the entire corrupt Democrat party that weaponized & abused the federal government for the past four years." That comment was from Sen. Ted Cruz.
Fox noted the "widespread mockery" delivered to Schumer after his announcement.
In fact, comedian Tim Young noted, to Schumer, "We already have that … it's called DOGE," for the Department of Government Efficiency, an organization created by President Donald Trump to root out waste and fraud in the federal government spending.

President Donald Trump was famous for his reality television show line, in days gone by, "You're fired!"
It seems that's what he wants now to do with FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, that cadre of bureaucrats who admitted skipping over homes that displayed Trump signs in the aftermath of a hurricane disaster in North Carolina.
The opinion also comes on the heels of the firing of four FEMA employees who went against orders and siphoned off $59 million in federal tax money to give to New York City for housing illegals.
Trump wrote, on social media, "FEMA spent tens of millions of dollars in Democrat areas, disobeying orders, but left the people of North Carolina high and dry. It is now under review and investigation. THE BIDEN RUN FEMA HAS BEEN A DISASTER. FEMA SHOULD BE TERMINATED! IT HAS BEEN SLOW AND TOTALLY INEFFECTIVE. INDIVIDUAL STATES SHOULD HANDLE STORMS, ETC., AS THEY COME. BIG SAVINGS, FAR MORE EFFICIENT!!!'
A report at Bloomberg said the comment was a widening of Trump's fight against the federal bureaucracy. He campaigned on, and was elected to, impose transparency, responsible spending, and elimination of fraud, on government.
And the report noted such a change would transform how the U.S. addresses disaster assistance.
It was Elon Musk, Trump's chief of the Department of Government Efficiency, who had complained that the agency, against orders, had sent payments to New York City for housing for illegals.
A report at ABC pointed out that Kristi Noem, Trump's newly appointed secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, already has endorsed the idea of eliminating FEMA, as least "the way it exists today."

In a stunning development in the worldwide campaign to promote transgenderism, an athlete in the United Kingdom has been suspended for six matches for asking if her opponents are male.
A report from the Christian Institute explained the 18-year-old, whose name was not being released, is accused of asking if "all their players are eligible to play. Look at their keeper and for example their No. 10 is obviously a man."
A referee who has been indoctrinated into the ideology reportedly threatened to ban her from play, and the athlete then asked her opponents about the issue.
Her team was handed seven disciplinary points and the player was forced into an "online education" to correct her beliefs, the report said.
She explained she had raised the question because of the "extremely aggressive" style of play.
She pointed out she is not even being allowed to stand up for herself, because any comments could produce an extended banishment.
"It's disgraceful that another teenage girl has been suspended for daring to challenge the presence of a male player in a women's game," explained Fiona McAnena, of Sex Matters.
The nation's Football Association claims it supports women's athletics but it allows men who say they are women to be on women's teams, despite charges that actually violate the nation's 2010 Equality Act.

Two years ago, lawmakers in Tennessee adopted a legislative plan that prevents physicians from facilitating a minor's gender transition.
It does that by stopping them from "prescribing, administering, or dispensing any puberty blocker or hormone" or carrying out gender transition surgery.
At the time, Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall simply said the processes are "child abuse."
"This was simply a way to impose a radical gender ideology across the country under the guise of treatment for kids," he said.
The fight was in the courts almost immediately and the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals approved the law, and the Joe Biden administration jumped into the fight, through the U.S. Department of Justice, to condemn the state and promote his transgender ideologies, which he pushed throughout his administration.
When President Donald Trump moved into the White House, he could have dropped the government's participation. He didn't. In fact, he reversed the government's position, and it now is arguing that the law is fine.
The Washington Stand explains the DOJ, now in the U.S. v. Skrmetti case, states, "The department has now determined that SB1 does not deny equal protection on account of sex or any other characteristic."
Curtis Ganon, a deputy solicitor general, told the Supreme Court the previously stated opinions were wrong.
The reversal came just two days after Pam Bondi, Trump's nominee for U.S. attorney general, was sworn in.
The report noted, "Also under normal circumstances, the DOJ reversing its position on the case would render it moot, removing it from the Supreme Court's jurisdiction, which extends only to live 'cases' and 'controversies' under Article III, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution. However, the DOJ's letter argued that this was a special case. Since the U.S. government is not the only challenger, the case before the court is not moot. The court's decision will affect many cases in lower courts (at least four appellate courts have ruled on the merits of the question, coming to conflicting conclusions). And, since the court has already been fully briefed on this case, it would be a waste of the court's time to dismiss this case, only for it to hear a similar case later. In the DOJ's words," the report noted.
Sarah Parshall Perry of the Heritage Foundation said it was the best position the DOJ could have adopted.
"The court has heard all it needs to hear on the constitutionality of state bans on gender affirming care for minors. … Though the official position of the U.S. is now different than it was under Biden, the issue remains salient, and the Court should still resolve it. Failing to do so means trans-identified children will continue to suffer gender butchery in the states while litigation proceeds."

There's more bad news for those working on all those leftover programs from Joe Biden to subsidize illegal aliens.
Now DOGE chief Elon Musk says he's found out that FEMA spent $59 million last week to house illegals in luxury hotels in New York City, and he wants the money back.
In a social media statement, Musk, chief of President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency, said his team "just discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants. Sending this money violated the law and is in gross insubordination to the President's executive order. That money is meant for American disaster relief and instead is being spent on high end hotels for illegals! A clawback demand will be made today to recoup those funds."
Biden embedded throughout the government multiple ways for tax money to be spent on illegal aliens after they break the law and enter the U.S. without permission. One of Trump's agenda points is to eliminate that spending.
A report at the Gateway Pundit wondered, "And why is FEMA paying for illegal alien housing when they ignore Americans suffering and living in tents in places like North Carolina? FEMA funds are meant for American disaster relief and not to fund Joe Biden's invasion."
The report said apparently one of the hotels is the Roosevelt in Manhattan, and in fact, city officials admitted back in 2023 that half of the hotel rooms in New York City were occupied by illegals.
Trump already has concluded that FEMA has lost its mission focus and diverted staff and resources to projects that were beyond its scope and authority, spending more than a billion dollars on the political whims of bureaucrats there.

PALM BEACH, Florida – President Donald Trump says his desire to make Canada America's 51st state is not all talk, but actually a "real thing."
Trump made the disclosure to Bret Baier of Fox News during a pre-recorded interview that aired Sunday afternoon during the pre-game show of Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.
Baier asked Trump directly: "The prime minister said this weekend to a group of Canadian businessmen – it was a private meeting – he said that your wish for Canada to be the 51st state is a real thing. Is it a real thing?"
"Yeah, it is," Trump responded.
"I think Canada would be much better off being a 51st state because we lose $200 billion a year with Canada and I'm not gonna let that happen. It's too much.
"Why are we paying $200 billion a year? Essentially a subsidy to Canada. Now. If they're a 51st state, I don't mind doing it."
Trump also said his recent tariff announcements on Canada and Mexico for border security and drug interdiction were not enough.
"Something has to happen. It's not sustainable," he indicated.
On a lighter note, Baier said to Trump, "You are the most recognized person in the world, likely the most imitated person in the world. Every comedian has a Donald Trump imitation. Every one.
"But now you have UFC fighters winning fights, NFL players doing the Trump dance. Did you ever think that was gonna be a thing?"
"No, I didn't," Trump replied.
"I mean, we do these rallies. They've always been great but they got really great.
"It's just, I don't know what it is. I try and walk off sometimes without dancing and I can't. I have to dance because it's just got something special about it."

PALM BEACH, Florida – Mike Huckabee, the incoming U.S. ambassador to Israel, is optimistic about the future of the Mideast, believing "something of biblical proportion" will happen in the region under the leadership of President Donald Trump.
"I'm personally optimistic that we're going to see something bold," Huckabee said on "Sunday Morning Futures" with Maria Bartiromo.
"I will use this term, Maria. I think we will see something of biblical proportion happen with his leadership in the Middle East."
His remarks come in the wake of last week's announcement by Trump that the U.S. will take over the troubled Gaza Strip to help transform it from a "demolition site" to a Riviera-style region.
"President Trump did something bold," Huckabee said." He looked into the future and said kind of a what if. We don't know exactly what might happen in Gaza, but here's what could have happened in Gaza.
"Gaza could have been Singapore. Instead, Hamas turned it into Haiti and, in fact, maybe worse, far worse than that.
"So let's hope that people will listen to President Trump. The only time we've had real, significant peace in that a region was the four years that Donald Trump was president, and I'm very optimistic that with his leadership, his bold and innovative thinking, he doesn't think like the other politicians and diplomats have thought. And thank God he doesn't, because we get results.
"I heard somebody say he's thinking outside the box. That's ridiculous. He's not thinking outside the box, he throws the box away and says let's start with a blank slate and see where this could go. That's leadership. And that's what we have with President Trump."
When asked if he believed the U.S. could have an ownership piece of Gaza, the former Republican governor of Arkansas, indicated he did not know.
"The one thing we know is that Hamas not going to be able to exist. That's just a done deal. It's sort of like saying Iran can't have a nuclear weapon, and Hamas cannot continue to exist. They can never have anything to do with the governance of Gaza.
"A lot of people forget Gaza was once inhabited by both Jews and Palestinians until 2005 when Ariel Sharon decided to give it all away. He did. They militarily marched 10,000 Jewish people out of Gaza, turned it into a complete Palestinian state, and the result, we saw October the 7th. So there's something that has to be rethought."
Asked when he expected to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate to his ambassadorship, Huckabee responded, "I wish I knew. It's all up in the hands of the Senate, and as you know, there's a little bit of tension going on right now in Washington, and I have nothing if to do with that.
"I'm patiently waiting through the process. I do have to be confirmed, that's the process we all must go through, and I respect that. So I hope it's soon because I think that our country needs our ambassador in place in this very, very delicate and difficult region. And so I would hope that even Democrats would say the sooner the better."

The American Center for Law and Justice is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to hold accountable those who pay the bills for terror against Israel.
"This case represents more than a legal dispute – it's about protecting American lives and sending a clear message that those who support terrorism will be held accountable. The ACLJ remains committed to defending liberty, pursuing justice, and protecting the fundamental rights of Americans both at home and abroad," the legal team explained in an online report.
The group, which defends Israel in courts all over the world, has filed a friend-of-the-court brief in America's highest court urging the justices to keep American courts open to the victims of terror.
"By filing this brief, we stand firmly with victims of terrorism, urging the court to hold the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Palestinian Authority (PA) accountable for their ongoing support of terrorist activities that harm American citizens" the report said.
It explained America has the Taylor Force Act, which is a key piece of legislation to fight terrorist financing.
It was named in honor of Taylor Force, a brave U.S. Army veteran who was brutally murdered by a Palestinian terrorist in Israel.
It targets "the Palestinian Authority's deeply disturbing practice of providing financial rewards to terrorists and their families – a reprehensible policy that incentivizes violence against Americans and Israelis," the ACLJ report said. "By imposing strict conditions on U.S. economic assistance to the PA, the act ensures that American taxpayer dollars are not indirectly supporting terrorism, cutting off funding when the PA continues its 'pay-to-slay' program that provides salaries to individuals imprisoned for terrorist acts."
In fact, the ACLJ sued the Joe Biden administration for violating the law.
"To further implement and enforce the Taylor Force Act, Congress passed, and President Trump signed during his first term, the Promoting Security and Justice for Victims of Terrorism Act (PSJVTA)," the report said. That is a tool crafted to provide American victims a way to justice.
"It creates a robust legal mechanism that enables victims of terrorist attacks to hold organizations accountable for their direct and indirect support of terrorism, specifically targeting entities like the PLO and PA. Congress said specifically that if the PLO and PA choose to continue to violate the Taylor Force Act and fund terrorism, as well as operate and fundraise in the United States, that conduct would be deemed implicit consent to participate in legal proceedings," the legal team noted.
However, now the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals has claimed that violates the due process rights of the terror-supporting organizations, and the ruling means they are shielded from accountability.
That lower court claimed there must be a "benefit" to the PLO and PA for them to be required to participate in court proceedings, a "requirement found nowhere in existing Supreme Court precedent."
The ACLJ said its brief came in Fuld v. PLO and United States v. PLO and explains, "When organizations knowingly support terrorism against Americans, they should face legal consequences in U.S. courts."
The report said, "Congress passed a law providing that if the PLO and PA continued to engage in this conduct, they would face consequences. They never stopped. The organizations admittedly continue making these payments despite clear congressional notice that doing so would subject them to American courts."
Even as the organizations continue the "pay-for-slay" payments, the ACLJ noted, "The idea that Congress must bargain with terrorists by giving them 'governmental benefit[s]' to obtain their willingness to subject themselves to the jurisdiction of federal courts is incongruous and absurd. It has no place in the law. If the PLO and PA choose[] to continue making these odious payments, thus encouraging more terrorist attacks and putting more Americans at risk, then under the PSJVTA it may be sued in U.S. courts."
