Don't mess with Texas – at least not after a law goes into effect barring men from competing in women's sporting events.

As a result of a man winning five gold medals at a San Antonio swim meet in April, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has launched an investigation into the sponsor of the event, U.S. Master's Swimming.

According to Fox News Digital, multiple female swimmers were unaware that the winning competitor was a biological male.

"The policy of U.S. Masters Swimming, which allows men to compete in women's events, is reprehensible and could violate Texas's consumer protection laws," Paxton said in an announcement. "Not only is this policy insulting to female athletes, but it also demonstrates deep contempt for women and may violate Texas law. I will fight to stop these unfair policies and never back down from defending the integrity of women's sports."

The swimmer in question, a 47-year-old who goes by Ana Caldas, won every race he entered, taking gold in the women's age 45-49 category in five races, including the 50- and 100-yard breaststroke, freestyle and the 100-yard individual medley.

Louisiana woman and long-time swimmer Wendy Enderle said she filed a request for an eligibility review. Besides the Paxton investigation, Enderle is also calling for action by the U.S. Department of Justice.

"I hope that U.S. Masters Swimming quickly adopts a more appropriate and fair policy in line with World Aquatics policy. I also would like to see U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi look into whether U.S. Masters Swimming violates Presidential Executive Order number 14201, Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports, dated Feb. 5, 2025," Enderle told Fox – though the president's order applies only to publicly funded entities, and U.S. Master's Swimming is a private organization.

"Thank you to the great state of Texas for standing up for women and girls!" added Enderle.

In June 2023, Texas passed the Save Women's Sports Act, which bans trans athletes from competing in girls and women's sports and only allows students to compete in the gender category listed on their birth certificate.

According to Fox News Digital, USMS policy allows transgender swimmers to participate in the gender competition category in which they identify, and they may also be recognized for accomplishments, if certain conditions are met.

A longtime Democrat who was nominated by President Donald Trump for post in the civil rights division of the Department of Justice, Leo Terrell, has released a cryptic statement about Jill Biden and her liabilities for pushing husband Joe Biden into the presidency, and then into a run for a second term.

"Elder Abuse! Criminal Charges??" Terrell posted on his personal X page, atop a reference from another posting that said, "She knew about President Biden's health problems. But still wanted him to run for president. Evil."

That issue has blown up in just the past few days after Joe Biden made an announcement that he has been diagnosed with advanced stage prostate cancer, a cancer that experts say mostly is detectable early in its development.

This follows the evidence that has become more and more apparent of his mental decline, including the release of his interview with special counsel Robert Hur during that official's investigation of Biden, revealing Biden literally reduced to long silences and erratic answers when asked questions about his own actions.

It was not the only elder abuse comment that has surfaced. Personality Terrence K. Williams joined the conversation.

As did other commentators, including Clay Travis.

report at the Gateway Pundit pointed out Terrell, senior counsel to the assistant attorney general for civil rights, "took to social media to express his concerns, reposting a tweet from a conservative commentator and adding his own commentary: 'Elder Abuse! Criminal Charges??'"

"Terrell's implication was unmistakable: Jill Biden may have knowingly concealed her husband's serious health decline during his presidency and subjected him to undue stress by propping him up for another grueling presidential campaign—all for political gain," the report said.

The report noted, "According to presidential historian Douglas Brinkley, Jill Biden is the main reason Joe Biden ran again in 2024. Brinkley appeared on Face the Nation and explained that Jill Biden doesn't want to relinquish the power that the Bidens have spent years trying to gain and even said that she wants some kind of 'revenge' against the people who wronged them or stood in their way."

WND reported nearly a year ago, at the presidential race debate between President Donald Trump and Joe Biden, after which Biden was forced out of the race by his own party, "Joe Biden's performance in the presidential debate this week revealed him to be a senior citizen without a firm grasp on thought, words, or policy. Even facts. And there's one person to blame for the situation that involved a senior American politician becoming a laughingstock. Jill Biden."

That's according to U.S. Rep. Harriet Hageman, R-Wyo., who was quoted in a report by the Cowboy State Daily that, "What Jill Biden and the Biden campaign did to Joe Biden tonight — rolling him out on stage to engage in a battle of wits while unarmed — is elder abuse, plain and simple."

"She explained, "We've seen Biden mumble and misstep his way through three-and-a-half years of this presidency and no amount of lies or distortion of facts will distract voters from sending him permanently back to Delaware on Nov. 5. Joe Biden has failed … for over 50 years. It is time to put him out to pasture so that we can reclaim our country."

The U.S. Supreme Court issued an unsigned order on Tuesday instructing the Maine state legislature to revoke its censure of Republican state Rep. Laurel Libby.

Libby had been in the penalty box of the Democrat majority in the legislature since February when she commented on social media about a boy who won a girls' athletic competition in the state.

Expressing an intolerance for her beliefs about transgenderism, the Democrat majority demanded she apologize before she could speak – or vote – in the legislature again, effectively depriving her constituents of their constitutionally protected right to representation.

Maine House Speaker Ryan Fecteau had demanded an apology from Libby for her beliefs and she refused.

The court's order said, "The application for injunction pending appeal presented to JUSTICE JACKSON and by her referred to the Court is granted pending disposition of the appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and disposition of the petition for a writ of certiorari, if such writ is timely sought. Should the petition for a writ of certiorari be denied, this order shall terminate automatically. In the event the petition for a writ of certiorari is granted, the order shall terminate upon the sending down of the judgment of this Court."

Two of the extremists on the Supreme Court bench, Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Jackson, would have kept the punishment on Libby.

Sotomayor didn't comment on her opinion but Jackson, the justice who as a nominee before the Senate famously was unable to, or refused to, define what is a woman, ranted for pages about what she wanted.

"We have long recognized that this injunctive relief is appropriate only when 'critical and exigent circumstances' exist necessitating intervention," and she didn't consider the fact that thousands of Maine residents were being deprived of their legislative voice important enough.

She claimed there are not "any significant legislative votes scheduled in the upcoming weeks" and the First Circuit already has arguments scheduled.

It had only been reported hours earlier that the U.S. Department of Justice had joined the battle on the side of the Maine lawmaker who was censured by Democrats in the state legislature over her beliefs.

Republican state Rep. Laurel Libby has been banned from speaking in the legislature or representing her constituents by voting since February over her social media posting about a boy who won a pole vault competition in girls track in the state.

She's sued to have that move, which effectively punishes her constituents by depriving them of a voice in the lawmaking body, reversed and her request now is pending before the Supreme Court.

A report at Fox explained the DOJ and Attorney General Pam Bondi now have come out in her support.

The department has filed a friend-of-the-court document supporting Libby's request and Bondi has spoken out personally.

The DOJ explains that the Democrats in Maine are in violation of the Constitution's Equal Protection Clause, which allows for "one-person, one-vote," because they have deprived her voters of their rights over a "private act."

"Stripping District 90's voters of their house representation and vote because their chosen representative will not apologize for fulfilling this obligation is well beyond the bounds of an appropriate sanction," the DOJ explains.

Bondi told Fox, "The Department of Justice is proud to fight for girls in Maine and stand alongside Rep. Libby, who is being attacked simply for defending girls in her home state. As our lawsuit against the state of Maine illustrates, we will always protect girls' sports and girls' spaces from radical gender ideology."

Bondi has a separate action going against Maine now as the state's Democrats, led by Gov. Janet Mills, have refused to comply with President Donald Trump's "Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports" plans.

Democrats in Maine are demanding Libby apologize, but they have insisted the apology is for her "actions" and their punishment does not affect her "beliefs.

Maine House Speaker Ryan Fecteau and House Clerk Robert Hunt have claimed that the punishment over Libby's beliefs is like punishment for other members at times.

Surveys have revealed that Maine's residents are in opposition to the Democrats' agenda to push transgenderism for children, and in sports.

Fox reported, "A survey by the American Parents Coalition found that out of about 600 registered Maine voters, 63% said school sports participation should be based on biological sex, and 66% agreed it is 'only fair to restrict women's sports to biological women.'"

WND earlier reported Libby's case to the Supreme Court questions whether Democrats can remove the representation rights of thousands of state residents in a dispute over personal beliefs.

The state of Maine also is under investigation and has had federal grants withheld because it refuses to accept the biological reality that men do not become women, or vice versa. The state now is in noncompliance with Title IX.

Billions of dollars from the American economy are sent outside of its boundaries every year.

They are remittances sent by workers inside the United States, legal or not, to recipients, mostly families, in those other countries.

For example, the World Bank documents that those remittances account for about 17% of the entire GDP of Northern Central America.

India gets some $32 billion a year.

In Mexico, those funds make up a full 4.5% of the nation's entire GDP.

Those interests, obviously, oppose a plan being considered by Republicans in Congress to tax that cash stream.

"Remittances are the fruit of the efforts of those who, through their honest work, strengthen not only the Mexican economy but also the United States', which is why we consider this measure to be arbitrary and unjust," charged Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum.

But according to a report from the Daily Caller News Foundation, it's under consideration.

The present version of the GOP reconciliation bill to implement Trump's policies would tax those funds 5%.

That would be for non-citizens or foreign national senders who dispatch money outside the U.S.

"The Joint Committee on Taxation estimates the tax will generate more than $22 billion in revenue over a decade, which Republicans expect will help fund other parts of President Donald Trump's agenda, including extending the tax cuts enacted during Trump's first term," the report explained.

Not only is the idea seen as raising revenue for America, but combatting drug trafficking and illegal immigration as well.

"It's a two-fold win: taxing remittances will help slow down the cash flow to cartels and will also create a new revenue source we can use to build the wall and secure our border," Rep. Kevin Hern, of Oklahoma, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. "We must be using every tool at our disposal to combat the cartels smuggling fentanyl into this country."

Remittances to Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras all have soared from up to 20% in just the past few months, the report said.

White House spokesman Alex Pfeiffer said the tax plan would reduce the "pull" factor of attracting illegals to the U.S.

Federal charges are being filed against U.S. Rep. LaMonica McIver, a Democrat from New Jersey, who pushed her way into a melee when protesters were trying to disrupt operations at a detention center run by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Obstruction and interfering are included.

But the situation is just a symptom, more or less, of a bigger agenda by the Democrats, according to constitutional expert Jonathan Turley, a professor at George Washington University who has not only testified before Congress as an expert on the nation's founding law, but has represented members in constitutional disputes in court.

He explained the "new defense" being used by Democrats, from city council to Congress, is that "their official duties include obstructing the official functions of the federal government."

"The latest claimant of this license is Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ), who was charged with assaulting, resisting, and impeding law enforcement officers during a protest at Delaney Hall ICE detention facility in Newark, New Jersey. McIver is shown on video forcing her way into an ICE facility and striking and shoving agents in her path," he said.

He said officials were able to subdue the incursion quickly.

But the messaging from McIver was that she could do what for other citizens would be "trespass and assault" because of her "legislative oversight" privileges as a member of Congress.

Her comments were a reprise of what other Democrats already have demanded.

"Rep. Alexandria Ocacio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) declared 'You lay a finger on someone – on Bonnie Watson Coleman or any of the representatives that were there – you lay a finger on them, we're going to have a problem,'" the report noted.

And Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., "ominously warned the federal government that Democrats would bring down the house if it tried to charge McIver."

He said, "It's a red line. They know better than to go down that road."

The ACLU insisted that politicians "have every right to exercise their legally authorized oversight responsibilities for expanded immigration detention in New Jersey."

Turley explained Worcester City Councilor Etel Haxhiaj, in a video shoving and obstructing ICE officers, also claimed to be protecting a constituent.

"Even judges are claiming the same license. In Wisconsin, Judge Hannah Dugan has been charged with obstructing a federal arrest of an illegal immigrant who appeared in her courtroom. Dugan heard about agents waiting outside in the hallway to arrest the man and went outside to confront the agents. She told them to speak to the Chief Judge and that they needed a different warrant. The agents complied and the Chief Judge confirmed that they could conduct the arrest. In the interim, however, Dugan led the man out a non-public door and facilitated his escape."

The fault in making the "oversight" claim is that the law does not allow even members of Congress to have unauthorized access to secure federal facilities. Members of Congress can subpoena the executive branch, or get a court order, but they "do not have immunity from criminal laws in unilaterally forcing their way into any federal office or agency."

Another fight on the same battlefield is the vandalism being done to Tesla vehicles, because company owner Elon Musk is working with President Donald Trump.

"When the administration sought to investigate those burning Teslas and dealerships, Rep. Dan Goldman (D., N.Y.) denounced it as a 'political weaponization' of the legal system. The comments suggest that such arson is somehow a form of political expression on the left," Turley noted,

He explained Jeffries cited the crossing of a "red line."

The "red line" actually crossed, however, is the one "separating political expression and criminal conduct," he said.

In the wake of criminal charges filed against a Democrat congresswoman involved in a scuffle at a federal ICE holding facility in New Jersey, a congressman on the House Homeland Security Committee is promising more unannounced visits in the future.

"I promise you there's gonna be more un-noticed visits by my colleagues where they show up and they better be let in," U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., told MSNBC on Tuesday.

Swalwell was commenting on the case of Rep. LaMonica McIver, D-N.J., who is now facing federal charges for assaulting, impeding and interfering with federal law enforcement officers over when she barged into an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility without permission.

"Representative LaMonica McIver assaulted, impeded, and interfered with law enforcement in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 111 (a)(1)," explained Alina Habba, the acting U.S. attorney for New Jersey.

"That conduct cannot be overlooked by the chief federal law enforcement official in the State of New Jersey, and it is my Constitutional obligation to ensure that our federal law enforcement is protected when executing their duties."

Swalwell explained: "Typically, we would be able to give them notice when we visit a facility and the law says you don't have to give them notice. But they're not worthy of much of a heads-up because of the amount of lies that they've told the American people and the amount of lies that they've been called out on by judges across the country.

"And last week we saw in the Homeland Security Committee, Secretary [Kristi] Noem would not even acknowledge that they are detaining somebody indefinitely at a death camp in El Salvador based on Photoshopped, doctored evidence.

"And so, if they're willing to lie and doctor evidence to put someone in jail for an indefinite amount of time, we can't trust them. So we have to do our oversight duties, and she (McIver) was in the right to go and do that."

The congressman was referring to the case of deported criminal illegal alien Kilmar Abrego Garcia, whom many in the national news media simply refer to as a "Maryland father."

"That woman was out of control," said President Donald Trump Tuesday when asked about McIver's arrest during a visit to Capitol Hill. "The days of that crap are over in the country. We're gonna have law and order."

Swalwell is perhaps most infamous for his alleged relationship with a Chinese spy.

For years, Democrats have insisted over and over and over that Republicans are a threat to democracy.

Specifically, they have claimed, wildly, that President Donald Trump would set himself up as a dictator, would cancel elections, would, in fact, end "democracy."

Trump's move into the White House for a second term, his adherence to the Constitution and various precedential norms, even his decisions at time to challenge those, all reveal a dedication to the rule of law.

It actually, according to a former Democrat now describing himself as "independent," is the Democratic Party that offers that threat.

That's according to U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., who was in a discussion with comedian Akaash Singh.

Sanders was told about how for multiple elections already the Democrat party has not allowed an open selection process for the party's nomination for president.

For example, during the 2020 race, when a feeble and mentally diminished Joe Biden finally bowed out, it was the party elites to picked Kamala Harris as his replacement, without any vote at all.

"Could we not also say if — ostensibly, there hasn't been a fair primary for the Democrats since 2008. Are they not also a threat to democracy?" Biden is asked.

"Yes. Fair enough. That is — yeah, I'm not going to argue with that point. And that's why I'm proudly an independent," Sanders said. "What we're trying to do now … the hatred that we felt in 2016, 2020, from the Democratic establishment … We would do rallies and we had thousands of people — often young people, people of color coming out, working-class people coming out. They were great, full of energy. And then we'd go to Democratic Party events and there'd be a few hundred people, mostly older, whiter, wealthier."

He continued, "Then you saw the clash. And the establishment did not want to open the door. They hated the idea for all these people whose hands were a little bit dirty, who didn't have PhDs or weren't wealthy — imagine walking in: 'It's my party, man. You ain't getting in. We will fight you in the most ruthless ways that we can.' And that's the struggle."

In a stunning decision Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court, with support even from leftists like Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, gave a green light to President Donald Trump's efforts to deport hundreds of thousands of individuals given special protected status by Joe Biden.

The court's only leftist to oppose the move was Ketanji Jackson, Biden's appointee and a known opponent to just about anything that Trump proposes.

The Star-Advertiser explained decision allows the White House to strip temporary protected status from Venezuelans living in the U.S., who under Biden's leftist ideologies, had been protected.

The massive victory for Trump comes "as the Republican president moves to ramp up deportations as part of his hardline approach to immigration," the report explained.

The court agreed to the Justice Department's request to overturn an order from Edward Chen, a trial court judge in California who had halted Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's decision to terminate a Temporary Protected Status program.

The court did leave open a door to challenges by migrants.

And the Department of Homeland Security documented that 348,202 Venezuelans were given the special protection by Biden. They claimed at the time was that Venezuela was an unsafe country.

The report noted the program is a designation under U.S. law for nations experiencing war or other disasters, giving those protected permission to stay in the U.S.

"The U.S. government under Biden, a Democrat, twice designated Venezuela for TPS, in 2021 and 2023. In January, days before Trump returned to office, the Biden administration announced an extension of the programs to October 2026," the report said.

Noem then rescinded that decision.

Chen had claimed, at the time he decided to take over the decision-making process for the executive branch, "Generalization of criminality to the Venezuelan TPS population as a whole is baseless and smacks of racism predicated on generalized false stereotypes."

It was that fault by Chen that Department of Justice lawyers had pointed out to the Supreme Court.

They explained, "The (lower) court's order contravenes fundamental Executive Branch prerogatives and indefinitely delays sensitive policy decisions in an area of immigration policy that Congress recognized must be flexible, fast-paced, and discretionary."

The report said, "In a separate case on Friday, the Supreme Court kept in place its block on Trump's deportations of Venezuelan migrants under a 1798 law historically used only in wartime, faulting his administration for seeking to remove them without an adequate legal process."

Trump pointed out over the weekend that decision was "a bad and dangerous day for America."

The Daily Mail said the latest decision was a "major immigration win" for Trump, "as he seeks to speed up mass deportations."

This issue has been one of a multitude on which judges in entry-level courts to the federal judiciary repeatedly have taken control of executive branch decisions with nationwide injunctions, a separate issue that also is pending before the Supreme Court.

From the early church hymns, sung a cappella or perhaps accompanied by cymbals and flutes, past Gregorian chant, through the thundering pipe organ chords of J.S. Bach, to the 1960s guitars and electric pianos and then the current orchestrations backing up Christian church worship leaders, there have been a lot of changes musically.

Not so much in the lyrics, as the message from "How Great Thou Art," through "Were you there when they crucified my Lord?" to "Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul, Worship His holy name" all have revolved around worship.

Until now:

Now, one church has unleashed a new "inspirational" chorus with the words: "God bless the Christian, God bless the atheist, God bless the Muslim, God bless the rest of us. We've got no idea What we're doing."

The report at End Times Headlines explains it reveals "a dangerous drift into progressive praise."

The tune apparently comes out of The Well Church in Gilbert, Arizona, the report said.

"The song's catch phrase is 'We've Got No Idea What We're Doing,' and while the theme itself may be unintentionally honest, what follows is a troubling snapshot of what happens when worship untethers itself from biblical truth," the report said.

Lyrics:

God bless the Christian
God bless the atheist
God bless the Muslim
God bless the rest of us
We've got no idea
What we're doing
Let all our friends in
And all our enemies
All of our children
All of our families
We've got no idea
What we're doing
We've tried to find you
Throughout the centuries
Different religions in
Different countries
We've got no idea
What we're doing

The report commented, "Let's be clear. The Christian faith is not a foggy attempt to guess at God's nature. It is the glorious revelation of God in Christ, who said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me' (John 14:6)."

President Donald Trump is calling for a "major investigation" into celebrity endorsements, calling them "illegal" campaign contributions, as his feud with rock star Bruce Springsteen continues.

In a message posted early Monday morning on Truth Social, Trump used all capital letters to state:

"HOW MUCH DID KAMALA HARRIS PAY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FOR HIS POOR PERFORMANCE DURING HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT? WHY DID HE ACCEPT THAT MONEY IF HE IS SUCH A FAN OF HERS?

"ISN'T THAT A MAJOR AND ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION? WHAT ABOUT BEYONCÉ? …AND HOW MUCH WENT TO OPRAH, AND BONO???

"I am going to call for a major investigation into this matter. Candidates aren't allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment.

"In addition, this was a very expensive and desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds. IT'S NOT LEGAL! For these unpatriotic "entertainers," this was just a CORRUPT & UNLAWFUL way to capitalize on a broken system. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!"

In a follow-up message later in the day, Trump added: "According to news reports, Beyoncé was paid $11,000,000 to walk onto a stage, quickly ENDORSE KAMALA, and walk off to loud booing for never having performed, NOT EVEN ONE SONG!

"Remember, the Democrats and Kamala illegally paid her millions of Dollars for doing nothing other than giving Kamala a full throated ENDORSEMENT.

"THIS IS AN ILLEGAL ELECTION SCAM AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL! IT IS AN ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION! BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, OPRAH, BONO AND, PERHAPS, MANY OTHERS, HAVE A LOT OF EXPLAINING TO DO!!!"

The president's remarks come in the wake of Springsteen's hammering of Trump during concerts in Manchester, England, in which "the Boss" said on stage May 17:

"My home America, the America I've written about that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration."

"Tonight, we ask all who believe in democracy and the best of our American spirit to rise with us, raise your voices and stand with us against authoritarianism and let freedom ring."

Before performing "My City of Ruins," Springsteen noted: "There's some very weird, strange, and dangerous (expletive) going on out there right now."

"In America, they are persecuting people for using their right to free speech and voicing their dissent. This is happening now."

Last week, in response to Springsteen, Trump posted: "I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a Foreign Country to speak badly about the President of the United States."

"Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he's not a talented guy − Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK, who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President, who came close to destroying our Country."

The president hinted there could be consequences if the rock star had made his remarks on American soil.

"This dried out 'prune' of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that's just 'standard fare,'" Trump said.

"Then we'll all see how it goes for him!"

On May 16, the American Federation of Musicians voiced support for both Springsteen and pop superstar Taylor Swift, of whom Trump said: "Has anyone noticed that, since I said 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' she's no longer 'HOT?'"

"The American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada will not remain silent as two of our members − Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift − are singled out and personally attacked by the President of the United States," the organization said.

"Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift are not just brilliant musicians, they are role models and inspirations to millions of people in the United States and across the world. … Musicians have the right to freedom of expression, and we stand in solidarity with all our members."
