Gen. Ebrahim Jabbari, senior advisor to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps – the branch of Iran's armed forces created by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in 1979 to protect the radical theocratic regime – said on Iranian TV Monday, June 23, that Iran was "very close to annihilating Israel."
As reported by the Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI, the IRGC commander-in-chief and former commander of current Supreme Leader Ali Hosseini Khamenei's security unit, said the U.S. may have joined the conflict because Iran was on the verge of destroying the Jewish state.
How to respond to America's weekend attack on Iran's nuclear facilities?
Iranians must "chop off President Trump's hand," insisted Jabbari, and "slit Netanyahu's throat," boasting that American military bases and warships in the region could be eliminated "in the blink of an eye." But most important of all, he insisted, Israel itself must be annihilated.
In the TV interview, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Core's top leader had some startling – and some obviously false – things to say. As MEMRI reported:
The program's host claimed that Iranian intelligence had intercepted internal Israeli communications indicating that, despite official reports stating there were no fatalities, over 500 Israelis were actually killed and 300 are missing following the previous day's Iranian attacks, in which several dozen were reportedly wounded. Jabbari confirmed the host's claim.
Later, Jabbari alleged that Israel had failed to intercept even a single Iranian missile. The host concluded by asserting that the world acknowledges Iran is in the right and that Iran must build a nuclear bomb.
Reporter: "Yesterday, our people conducted SIGINT operations, and they heard the [the Israelis] say that there were over 500 casualties, in our attacks yesterday. In addition, almost 300 people are missing, and they are stuck under the rubble, and about 200 people were injured. More than 200. So in our operations yesterday alone, more than 1,000 people were killed or injured, or are still missing."
Responded Jabbari: "That is correct. … Perhaps, America has joined [the war], because we were very close to annihilating Israel. It was in the closing stages." He added: "We must not lift our foot from Netanyahu's throat, and the throats of the Zionist criminals. In addition to chopping off Trump's hand, by means of the divine wisdom of our beloved Leader, who is more precious to us than our own lives, we must slit Netanyahu's throat, and send him to Hell for all eternity."
Reporter: "All of them, the young and the old, are occupiers. The Zionist idea, in general, is a Satanic ideology that needs to depart this world. Everybody who lives there, the young and the old – they are all occupiers, plunderers, and enemies. Now they are fleeing in boats. Yes, just like you came in boats, you need to flee in boats, back to where you came from."
Jabbari: "America's biggest asset in the region is not its warships and bases. These will be annihilated in the blink of an eye. America's main asset and main investment in its war against us is Israel itself, and we must annihilate it.
"They fail to intercept even a single missile of ours."
Reporter: "Today, not only does the world admit that Iran is right, they all admit that Iran needs to build a nuclear bomb. Polls in our country have shown that 90% of the people say we should do this."

Not thrilled with mainstream media coverage of U.S. strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities on Saturday, President Donald Trump on Monday erupted against some of the biggest names in American news.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated: "The sites that we hit in Iran were totally destroyed, and everyone knows it.
"Only the Fake News would say anything different in order to try and demean, as much as possible – And even they say they were 'pretty well destroyed!'
"Working especially hard on this falsehood is Allison Cooper of Fake News CNN, Dumb Brian L. Roberts, Chairman of 'Con'cast, Jonny Karl of ABC Fake News, and always, the Losers of, again, Concast's NBC Fake News.
"It never ends with the sleazebags in the Media, and that's why their Ratings are at an ALL TIME LOW — ZERO CREDIBILITY!"
Trump's mention of "Allison" Cooper of CNN is actually a reference to Anderson Cooper, the openly homosexual anchor for the Cable News Network.
Trump first used the woman's first name for Cooper last October in the days before the 2024 presidential election.
"If you watched her being interviewed by Allison Cooper the other night, he's a nice person. You know Allison Cooper? CNN fake news," Trump said in Traverse City, Michigan, according to the Associated Press, before pausing and saying in a mocking voice: "Oh, she said no, his name is Anderson. Oh, no."
"They had a town hall," Trump later said at another Michigan event. "Even Allison Cooper was embarrassed by it. He was embarrassed by it."
The AP noted at the time: "In referring to Cooper with a woman's name, Trump appeared to turn to a stereotype heterosexual people have long deployed against gay men. Such rhetoric evokes the trope of gay men as effeminate and comes as Trump aims to drive up his appeal among men in the final stages of his bid to return to the White House."
As WorldNetDaily reported, CNN was forced to make a major correction to its story originally claiming Democrats in Congress were not informed in advance of the U.S. military strikes against Iran's nuclear sites.
Appearing on Fox News Monday morning, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said congressional members of both parties were informed prior to the military action.
"First of all, we did make bipartisan calls. Thomas Massie and the Democrats – he should be a Democrat because he is more aligned with them than with the Republican Party – were given notice," she began.
"The White House made calls to congressional leadership; they were bipartisan calls. In fact, Hakeem Jeffries couldn't be reached. We tried him before the strike and he didn't pick up the phone, but he was briefed after, as well as Chuck Schumer was briefed prior to the strike.
"So this notion that CNN ran with that the White House did not give a heads-up to Democrats is just completely false. In fact, both Sen. Schumer's office and CNN had to retract that story last night because it was a blatant lie, and we showed them the time stamps from those phone calls."
Brian Roberts, CEO of NBC News' parent company Comcast, was an adviser to Barack Obama on the President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, which "was created to provide non-partisan advice to the president on continuing to strengthen the nation's economy and ensure the competitiveness of the United States and on ways to create jobs, opportunity, and prosperity for the American people."

Democrats who long have been against things, just because "Donald Trump," have been busy in the last day or two insisting that he should not have ordered the bombing of several sites in Iran where nuclear programs reportedly were working on the rogue Islamic regime's goal of nuclear weapons.
But there was little such comment when Barack Obama, their own party's president for two terms, unleashed tens of thousands of bombs, without getting those pertinent votes in Congress.
Adam Schiff, one of California's members of Congress, prominently took to friendly airwaves to condemn the actions, because Trump took them.
Schiff, a Democrat, of course is probably best known for insisting repeatedly that he saw evidence of Trump campaign collusion with Russia back in 2016. That was despite a special counsel confirming to the public that there was no such evidence. He also fabricated "quotes" from Trump in his testimony to Congress.
The double standard for comments from Democrats was spotlighted by a social media posting from Townhall.
A commentary at Twitchy cited the Townhall posting, and commented, "Check out how many bombs Obama DROPPED without 'permission' in his last few months."
Twitchy withheld no snark available in its commentary: "As Democrats like Eric Swalwell and the boil on the butt of humanity himself Adam Schiff continue whining that Trump didn't get their permission to strike Iran, we'd like to remind them just how many bombs Obama dropped WITHOUT PERMISSION in just the last few months of his presidency. … TENS of thousands of bombs dropped, and they're throwing a fit because Trump dropped a few dozen on Iranian nuclear locations to keep them from building a nuke.
Make it make sense."
Polling showed the issue was divided by politics, with Republicans hugely supporting Trump's effort to make sure the rogue Islamics do not obtain nuclear weapons, while Democrats opposed Trump's pro-security measures.
Experts assessed that there was "very significant" damage to Iran's Fordow uranium enrichment plant. Also hit were plants in Natanz and Isfahan.

A minister identified as being part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, commonly described as one of the most liberal organizations claiming the description "Christian," has publicly rebuked the Bible's call to share the Good News with others.
In fact, this pastor promotes the idea that, "There are people who are perfectly happy in other faiths who don't need converting to ours."
The video was posted on social media by Protestia, which monitors "theological mischief-makers."
The pastor, identified as being in the ECLA, "openly rejects the Great Commission," the report said.
"We who are in kind of progressive church circles don't tend to be real excited about the idea of running out and telling other people to change because of Jesus," she said.
That refutes one of the basic teachings in the Bible, often stated and repeated by Jesus himself, that no one reaches the Father, or heaven, without going through Jesus.
In fact, according to the Bible's Great Commission, considered by many to be a primary teaching in the Bible, Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
Not the Bee noted, "I mean, it's one thing to get the finer points of Christianity wrong. It's another thing to do what this lady does and get the entire religion completely wrong."
The preacher rambles about what comes out of "the better part of my brain," where she has learned "Other people are beloved by God and have God in them and in their lives and speaking to them too and we discover together what God means, so I don't tend to do a lot of running out and telling other people to change their hearts and their lives."
The report noted she also "rants about colonialism and the evils of making uncivilized people civilized and clothing the naked savages."
"I think there are people who are perfectly happy with no faith at all, and I don't think we're doing them any favors if they don't believe in God," she continues.
The Bible makes clear that Jesus is the "only way to heaven," where in Acts it is written, "There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved."

Kristi Noem, the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, has issued a three-month terror alert for the United States based on the rogue Islamic regime in Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons and President Donald Trump's decision to blow up a number of the facilities working on that project.
"The ongoing Iran conflict is causing a heightened threat environment in the United States," she said. "Low-level cyber attacks against US networks by pro-Iranian hacktivists are likely, and cyber actors affiliated with the Iranian government may conduct attacks against US networks."
She noted that Iran also has a longstanding commitment to target those officials in the U.S. it views "as responsible for the death of an Iranian military commander killed in January 2020."
And if the Iranian regime issues a religious proclamation, the threat from "violent extremists" already in the U.S. could increase.
There are an unknown number of those people already inside the U.S., as Joe Biden let in millions of unvetted illegal aliens during his time in the White House.
A report from the Gateway Pundit said Iran "appears to be gearing up for a major retaliatory strike against America after seeing its three major nuclear facilities were bombed two days ago."
President Trump announced over the weekend the U.S. finished a "successful attack" on three nuclear sites in Iran, Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, where nuclear weapons work reportedly was going on.
Iran has responded with rockets launched at U.S. military sites in the Middle East, but reports confirm those mostly have been destroyed before arriving at their tarets.
Noem's statement noted, "Multiple recent Homeland terrorist attacks have been motivated by anti-Semitic or anti-Israel sentiment, and the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict could contribute to US-based individuals plotting additional attacks."

A plan is being developed by a Senate advocate for the Department of Government Efficiency to sell off multiple federal buildings in Washington, D.C., worth an estimated $500 million.
The buildings are underutilized now, and they just are costing taxpayers a pile of money to keep open and maintained.
The new "For Sale Ace" targets six buildings, including the James Forrestal Federal Building that holds the Department of Energy.
Workers still occupying offices in those buildings will be relocated.
It's part of the DOGE campaign to address the nation's $36 trillion national debt.
The Forrestal Federal Building, known also as the "Little Pentagon," and other buildings were listed following reports from the Office of Management and Budget and the Government Accountability Office about the millions of dollars in costs in keeping and maintaining buildings where only a few of the offices are occupied.
Across the nation, maintenance for federal buildings costs more than $10 billion a year and ridding the government of some of them offers considerable cast savings.
A report at Fox News explained Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, points out in her planning that no layoffs would be part of the sales, as the workers would move.
Also on the list would be outbuildings for the Agriculture Department, one of which is at 25% capacity and needs nearly $2 billion in upgrades.
The Hubert H. Humphrey Jr. building also is listed. It houses the Department of Health and Human Services. Also the headquarters of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Theodore Roosevelt Building and Frances Perkins Federal Building.
The report notes that safeguards have been written into the legislation so that no unfriendly entities, like China, would be allowed to purchase. Nor would any group in which a foreign national is a "beneficial owner."
The OMB previously reported that taxpayers are charged $81 million to maintain underused federal offices.
"About 7,700 federal office spaces are vacant and 2,200 are majority-empty, according to a Congressional Research Service report," Fox reported.
DOGE already has addressed the sale of the Wilbur J. Cohen Building, with 1.2 million square feet of offices and only 72 people.

A constitutional expert publicly is calling for full support for a review ordered by President Donald Trump of the coverup of Joe Biden's "obvious deterioration."
It is Jonathan Turley, a George Washington University professor who not only has counseled Congress on constitutional issues but represented members in those fights, who said there are "ample reasons" for Americans to get answers "as we continue to struggle with the problem of presidential incapacity."
He pinpointed the moment that should have been a "wake-up call" regarding the "obvious deterioration" seen in Joe Biden as his presidency progressed from a campaign built on videos filmed in his basement to his long history of verbal gaffes, blunders and mental failures on exhibit from his White House term.
"'Jackie, are you here? Where's Jackie?' When then-President Joe Biden asked in September 2022 if House Rep. Jackie Walorski, an Indiana Republican who had died weeks earlier in a car accident, was in a meeting, observers were shocked. Biden had not only issued a statement of condolence; he had attended the congresswoman's memorial service to lower the flags at the White House in her honor," Turley explained.
"As Washington Post media critic Erik Wemple noted last week, that moment should have been a wake-up call. In Washington parlance, it left no room for 'plausible deniability' about whether Biden was still fit to hold the office of president. And it wasn't just Democratic politicians who were willfully blind to Biden's obvious deterioration; it was the media, too."
He pointed out that's why all the nation should "fully support President Donald Trump's June 4 order for his administration to investigate Biden's competence and answer some of these questions, including the possible abuse of an autopen to sign legislation, pardons and other documents while he was president, instead of looking for political motivations."
Turley noted the House Oversight Committee also is conducting an investigating.
He cited the New York Times' claim the investigation was Trump's "campaign of retribution against his perceived enemies" but pointed out that was "a weird dissonance when journalists blame Biden's White House for a coverup, but then criticize efforts to investigate that coverup."
He conceded criminal charges are not likely to result, but investigation could end up with "forgery, obstruction of justice, fraud or other serious crimes" if the autopen was used without Biden's express authorization.
He cited the stroke sustained by President Woodrow Wilson a century back, and said Americans must have "accountability and greater transparency on matters of presidential health and competence."
While the 25th Amendment allows for a specific response to the incapacity of a president, it does not work when "staff have an interest in maintain the illusion to keep the president and themselves in power."
The worst thing, he said, for America "would be a collective shrug and a resumption of business as usual."
He said, "Biden was kept on a reduced schedule, allowing him to rally for single events. That is the difference between a major stroke and creeping cognitive decline. The 25th Amendment was designed for catastrophic medical events, not the slow slide to senility."
However, "The result for the office can be largely the same."

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio got into a heated discussion with a network news anchor Sunday about American intelligence regarding President Donald Trump's military strike Saturday against three of Iran's nuclear sites.
Rubio was asked on "Face the Nation" by CBS News anchor Margaret Brennan: "Are you saying there that the United States did not see intelligence that the supreme leader [of Iran] had ordered weaponization [of uranium]?"
"That's an irrelevant question," Rubio responded.
Brennan said: "That is the key point in U.S. intelligence assessment. You know that."
"No it's not, Rubio replied.
"Yes it was," Brennan insisted.
"No it's not," Rubio emphasized. "I know that better than you know that, and I know that that's not the case. You don't know what you're talking about."
"It doesn't matter if the order was given. They have everything they need to build nuclear weapons. Why would you bury things in a mountain 300 feet under the ground? Why do they have 60% enriched uranium? You don't need 60% enriched uranium.
"The only countries in the world that have uranium at 60% are countries that have nuclear weapons, because you can quickly make 90[%]. They have all of the elements. Why do they have a space program? Is Iran gonna go to the moon? No. They're trying to build an ICBM so they can one day put a warhead on it."
Rubio also appeared on "Sunday Morning Futures" with Maria Bartiromo on the Fox News Channel, and said "President Trump did the world a favor last night" with the strikes against the Islamic regime in Iran, adding, "They played way too many games, and now they found out. … They think they're cute. They're not cute."
"They tried to play him along the way they've played every American president for the last 35 years. The President told them if we don't get a deal, which is what we wanted, then I'll have to handle it differently. And that's what he did last night. He handled it differently.
"But that was an Iranian choice. We didn't make that choice. They did by playing games with Donald Trump."
"They thought they could do with President Trump what they've done with presidents in the past and get it away with it, and they found out last night that they can't," Rubio continued.
"This is a president that tells you what he's going to do and then he does it."
When asked about potential retaliation by Iran, Rubio warned of a "devastating" U.S. response: "We retain options to deal with that."
"In the end, we're gonna judge them by the actions that they take moving forward."
"What happens next will depend on what they do. They want to negotiate, we're ready to negotiate. They want to get cute, and do things that are dangerous, we have responses available that are devastating."
He said, "Iran will be held responsible" for military action by any of Tehran's proxy groups in other nations.
"The only reason we have U.S. bases in the region … is because they are afraid Iran will attack them, and they want us there to help defend them. … These countries understand what Iran is, what the regime is. They get it."
"I don't like the [Iranian] regime, but we're not in the regime-change business here."
Regarding any possible Chinese complicity with flights leaving Iran for China, Rubio said: "No, we don't have any evidence that the Chinese were involved in anything, other than perhaps trying to get Chinese nationals out of Iran."

In the wake of President Donald Trump's strike against Iran's nuclear sites Saturday, the former president of Russia is now warning: "A number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads."
The comment comes from Dmitry Medvedev, who currently the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council.
In a series of Sunday posts on X, Medvedev did not specifically name the countries supposedly willing to provide nuclear weapons to Tehran, but asked rhetorically, "What have the Americans accomplished with their nighttime strikes on three nuclear sites in Iran?
He then provided his answers.
"Critical infrastructure of the nuclear fuel cycle appears to have been unaffected or sustained only minor damage."
"The enrichment of nuclear material – and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons – will continue."
"Israel is under attack, explosions are rocking the country, and people are panicking."
"The US is now entangled in a new conflict, with prospects of a ground operation looming on the horizon.
"Donald Trump, once hailed as 'president of peace,' has now pushed the US into another war.
"The vast majority of countries around the world oppose the actions of Israel and the United States.
"At this rate, Trump can forget about the Nobel Peace Prize – not even with how rigged it has become. What a way to kick things off, Mr. President. Congratulations!"
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned on Sunday the U.S. will suffer "everlasting consequences" as a result of its Operation Midnight Hammer.
"The United States, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, has committed a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law and the NPT by attacking Iran's peaceful nuclear installations," Araghchi said.
"The events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences. Each and every member of the UN must be alarmed over this extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behavior."
"In accordance with the UN Charter and its provisions allowing a legitimate response in self-defense, Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people."

Ever since the brutal October 7 war waged by Iran-funded Hamas on Israel, the Iranian resistance has consistently warned about Iran's critical state – indeed, about its closeness to collapse. They cited the theocratic regime's deliberate instigation of the attack on Israel to prevent another major uprising against the Iranian government – an uprising that could have been its final blow.
Just as many once doubted the fall of the Syrian regime, today many fail to grasp how close Iran's regime is to collapse.
The recent conflict that began Friday, June 13 represents a pivotal turning point for the region and Iran's future. However, it is crucial to recognize that the fundamental crisis in Iran remains the struggle between the Iranian people and the religious dictatorship – a battle that has been ongoing for over four decades. Ever since Ayatollah Khomeini seized power, the regime has persistently resorted to external wars and manufactured crises to conceal domestic oppression and ensure its survival. Consequently, the only practical solution for Iran is the overthrow of the regime by the Iranian people and their organized resistance.
Neither war nor appeasement: A third option exist
The international community is not limited to the dangerous binary choice of "war" or "appeasement." There is a third, viable alternative rooted in the Iranian people's will and strength.
In 2002, the National Council of Resistance of Iran, or NCRI, first exposed the regime's secret nuclear program. Since then, the NCRI has repeatedly warned the world of the grave threat posed by a nuclear-armed Iranian regime. Moreover, the Council consistently pointed out that the regime's aggressive regional interference is far more dangerous than even its nuclear ambitions.
Unfortunately, the international community chose to persist with appeasement, leading unjustly to the NCRI and its principal organization being listed as terrorists. Meanwhile, the regime continued its nuclear development unchecked.
This policy of appeasement has emboldened the Iranian regime. Even after the 2015 "Iran nuclear deal" – the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA – which released $150 billion in frozen Iranian assets, the regime intensified its uranium enrichment beyond 60%, amassing enough fissile material for at least 10 nuclear bombs.
Concurrently, through its proxies and militias, the regime engulfed the region in war and chaos. Ultimately, appeasement has led to a direct imposition of war upon the region and the world.
The Iranian resistance: A people-powered movement for democracy
Despite enduring brutal massacres in 1981 and 1988 – when more than 30,000 political prisoners were executed – the Iranian Resistance has emerged stronger and better organized than ever. Its resilience and determination stem from widespread grassroots support across Iran. This popular backing has enabled the Resistance, even under severe repression, to establish a nationwide network of "Resistance Units" over the past decade.
Today, thousands of Resistance Units operate across Iranian cities and towns, undertaking more than 3,000 anti-regime actions and tens of thousands of awareness-raising activities within just the past year. Representing Iran's Generation Z, these courageous activists rally behind the slogans "No to compulsory rule," "No to compulsory religion," "No to compulsory hijab," embodying a strong and determined fight for freedom and democracy.
Maryam Rajavi, the leader of the Iranian Resistance, on June 18 in the European Parliament, told the present MEPs:
"There is no doubt that the just struggle of the Iranian people, led by their uprising and Resistance Units, will succeed. The day of freedom and victory of the Iranian people's democratic revolution is drawing near."
A democratic plan for the transition after the regime's fall
For over four decades, the National Council of Resistance of Iran – representing the organized and legitimate resistance of the Iranian people – has presented a clearly articulated roadmap for the peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy. According to this plan, immediately following the regime's collapse, the NCRI will establish a provisional government with a limited six-month mandate. During this brief transitional period, free and democratic elections will take place to elect a Constituent Assembly responsible for drafting a new democratic constitution. After this, full executive authority will transfer to the newly elected representatives of the Iranian people.
Over recent decades, the Iranian Resistance has consistently demonstrated its unwavering commitment to democratic values, pluralism and human rights. It emphasizes civil, religious and political freedoms for all Iranian citizens and recognizes the critical leadership role of women. By explicitly rejecting all forms of dictatorship – under the strategic principle of "No to the Shah and No to the Mullahs" – the NCRI sets out a clear vision of democratic governance for Iran's future.
The final goal of the Iranian Resistance is to end over a century of dictatorship in the Middle East, paving the way for lasting peace, freedom and democracy in the region.
The road ahead: A path of hope and determination
In these critical times, the Iranian Resistance stands as a beacon of hope, embodying the determination of the Iranian people.
With unwavering commitment, this Resistance will continue moving toward the establishment of a free and democratic Iran, reaffirming once again that history ultimately belongs to those who courageously struggle for freedom and human rights.
