The Supreme Court has decided not to issue a ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, despite expectations that the decision would be released this week.
The Supreme Court’s decision on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization is expected to overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark ruling that established the right to abortion. Unfortunately, Americans will have to wait at least another week before the Supreme Court pulls the trigger.
Fox News reported that “The justices released decisions in multiple cases Monday, but Dobbs was not among them. There’s now approximately a month left in the court’s current term. A ruling in Dobbs is expected to come by either late June or early July.”
Abortion on borrowed time
Back in April, an anonymous law clerk published a leak of a draft decision overturning Roe v. Wade.
The leaked decision sent shockwaves through the nation and kicked off a firestorm of controversy as the left went into an absolute panic.
The 6-3 Conservative majority on the Supreme Court all but assured that Roe v. Wade was doomed due to both the moral issues accompanying abortion alongside the significant legal issues that have gone unaddressed for decades.
Roe v. Wade was a deeply flawed legal decision and the only thing holding it up was the ideology of the Supreme Court. With a conservative majority, leftist doctrine can no longer protect abortion rights in the eyes of the nation’s highest court.
The leaked draft decision, authored by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, reads, “Roe was egregiously wrong from the start. We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled. It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”
Now it is simply a matter of waiting for the Supreme Court to issue a formal ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. While the decision is simply relegating abortion to each state, that won’t stop the left from descending into hysterics.
Left goes berserk
The leaked draft decision ignited protests both in front of the Supreme Court and at the homes of the Justices that likely would vote to overturn Roe v. Wade.
Conservative Supreme Court Justices faced death threats and violent rhetoric was blasted all over the airwaves by the mainstream media that suddenly didn’t seem to be so concerned about the sanctity of our national institutions.
What we saw when the draft opinion leaked was just a foretaste of what we will see when the Supreme Court sets its decision in stone.
