George Soros pushing ‘wealth tax’ to help Dems in 2020

The wealthiest among the far-left have just put their stamp of approval on one of the biggest issues in the 2020 campaign season… higher taxes.

George Soros led the way in penning a letter to the 2020 presidential candidates stating that the group would be more than happy to pay a wealth tax against the top one percent wealthiest individuals in the country.

More Taxes

In addition to Soros, some of the other names on the list were Alexander Soros, Chris Hughes, Abigail Disney, and Regan & Liesel Pritzker.

The letter stated, “America has a moral, ethical and economic responsibility to tax our wealth more.

“A wealth tax could help address the climate crisis, improve the economy, improve health outcomes, fairly create opportunity, and strengthen our democratic freedoms.

“Instituting a wealth tax is in the interest of our republic.”

Hidden Messages

There was far more to this “letter” than just agreeing to pay a wealth tax, though.

The letter specifically mentions a measure introduced by Elizabeth Warren to tax all assets valued at more than $50 million.

It also singled out several candidates that have supported such measures, such as Beto O’Rourke and Pete Buttigieg. What the letter did not mention, however, is anything about Bernie Sanders.

The individuals signing the letter included a disclaimer the letter was not meant to endorse a particular candidate, but Sanders missing cannot be a mistake. They also used the term “patriotic” in the letter.

This is interesting in that most conservatives believe the measures being proposed by Democrats are more socialist in nature, thereby completely unpatriotic, or at least that is how conservatives believe these measures would be viewed by our Framers and Founders.

This letter is being used as a very creative tool by the wealthiest individuals in this country to push this idea and these candidates on the American people. They are dangling their fortunes out there as bait to lure in more progressive voters.
