Breitbart News reports that leftist billionaire George Soros funded a group that helped to elect the Manhattan District attorney who may be about to arrest Former President Donald Trump.
That district attorney is Alvin Bragg.
Breitbart reports:
Bragg was elected in November 2021 with indirect backing from left-wing billionaire George Soros, who gave $1 million to the Color of Change PAC, which spent to elect Bragg.
Color of Change states on its website that it is "the nation’s largest online racial justice organization."
The group states:
By designing strategies powerful enough to fight racism and injustice—in politics and culture, in the work place and the economy, in criminal justice and community life, and wherever they exist—we are changing both the written and unwritten rules of society.
It adds, "we mobilize our members to end practices and systems that unfairly hold Black people back, and champion solutions that move us all forward."
This explains a lot about what Bragg's motivations might be in pursuing Trump.
Trump, on Saturday, posted a message indicating that he has received information that would suggest that Bragg plans to arrest him on Tuesday.
Trump wrote:
NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!
As you can see, the link between Soros and Bragg is clearly not lost on Trump.
Neither the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) nor Bragg's office has confirmed that it plans to arrest Trump. But, it has been reported that Bragg planned to meet with law enforcement this week, and many have taken this as a sign that Trump's indictment may be imminent.
The big question here is what crime would Bragg charge Trump with if he were to be arrested. And, the answer is not immediately clear.
At most, it is being reported that Bragg is investigating the 2016 incident in which Trump - through his then-attorney Micheal Cohen - allegedly paid money to adult film star Stormy Daniels in order to stop her from revealing an affair that they allegedly had.
Still, it is not clear what the crime is - or even could be. And, this is one of the reasons why Trump and others are suggesting that Bragg's actions here are likely politically motivated and designed to undermine Trump's 2024 presidential campaign.
