DaniLeigh, whose real name is Danielle Leigh Curiel, landed herself in hot legal trouble over the Memorial Day weekend.
The singer and mother of rapper DaBaby's child reportedly struck someone driving a moped under the influence of alcohol, TMZ reported. The incident took place in Miami, Florida, according to reports.
The reports indicated that the driver of the moped suffered "serious" back injuries as a result of the incident.
Witnesses said that they observed Curiel swerving in and out of several traffic lanes at a high rate of speed before finally crashing and striking the moped driver.
Not only did she strike the moped driver, but upon the collision, the singer dragged the moped for roughly one block before someone was finally able to stop her vehicle. Other reports indicated that she also dragged the driver, but were not confirmed.
Given that the incident was considerably more serious than a run-of-the-mill DUI charge, Curiel was hit with three felony charges.
The Daily Caller noted:
DaniLeigh was reportedly booked on three felony charges: driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury and DUI damage to property
"THROW HER UNDER THE JAIL! Dani Leigh was booked on 3 felony charges after drunk driving & hitting someone on a moped & dragging them for a block, until someone flagged down a cop to stop her. The officer claims breathalyzer results were nearly twice the legal limit. DISGUSTING," one Twitter user wrote.

The driver of the moped was treated locally, and reportedly suffered kidney and spinal issues as a result of the crash.
Curiel was slammed across social media, as expected when a celebrity commits such a stupid and avoidable crime.
"Even if she doesn't do any major time what was left of her music career is finished officially bc of this," one Twitter user wrote.
Another user added: "Why is she posing for this mugshot like a selfie tho. No remorse. If she’s still drunk, that’s even more wild. Cause alcohol brings the worst out in people for the people who can’t handle it. I hope the victim gets to see justice handled."
Only time will tell if she catches a break due to her celebrity status, which seems to happen far too often. With charges as serious as the ones she faces, it would be an injustice if she was afforded any special treatment.
