Trump lawyer Sidney Powell claims to have hard evidence of election fraud

Sidney Powell, an attorney for President Donald Trump, revealed Sunday that the president’s legal team has hard proof that the 2020 election was rigged, the Washington Examiner reported.

Powell made the bombshell claim during an interview on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures. According to Powell, it all comes down to the voting machines and their software.

A key player

Powell began her interview Sunday by exposing a member of Democratic candidate Joe Biden’s transition team, Peter Neffenger, who Powell says was on the board of Smartmatic, a company that committed election fraud.

“He is president and on the board of directors of Smartmatic, and it just so happens he’s on Mr. Biden’s presidential transition team that’s going to be nonexistent, because we’re fixing to overturn the results of the election in multiple states,” Powell told host Maria Bartiromo, according to the Examiner.

The New York Times reported that Smartmatic developed a vote-counting software that has been “manipulated to report a skewed tally” in an election in Venezuela.

Another one of the president’s lawyers, Rudy Giuliani, recently claimed that Dominion Voting Systems, which has made headlines for problems with its voting machines, was “a front for Smartmatic,” the Examiner noted.

Powell, for her part, said Sunday that “President Trump won not just hundreds of thousands of votes, but by millions of votes that were shifted by this software that was designed expressly for that purpose.”

“So much evidence”

Powell also told Bartiromo that there is ample evidence to back up her claims.

“We have sworn witness testimony of why the software was designed. It was designed to rig elections,” she said, as the Examiner reported. “[Neffenger] was fully briefed on it, he saw it happen in other countries, it was exported internationally for profit by the people that are behind Smartmatic and Dominion.”

Powell continued: “They did this on purpose, it was calculated, they’ve done it before. We have evidence from 2016 in California. We have so much evidence I feel like it’s coming in through a fire hose.”

Dominion and Smartmatic have both denied the claims about their machines and software being corrupted, the Examiner notes, but that won’t stop Powell and Trump’s other lawyers from continuing gathering evidence as they prepare to make their case in court. Watch the attorney’s full interview below:
